I lived in a massive house and now I'm in a small council house and I've never been happier, life's getting hard for alot of people and I think we should be greatful for the small things and appreciate the people around us ❤❤❤

Me too I lived in quite a big house I'm divorced now and sold it now live in a little rented house my son's have fled the nest just me and my French bulldog Freddie never been happier 🌟🌟
Well done, I live in a council property and it’s good. It is where I landed after being homeless for 6months. I’m proud of my home I made from free things etc. Nothing wrong with rescuing furniture or things from car boot! Live it when people compliment me on my home. Thanks for inspiring others.x
My dad's the same after being homeless he got his home in December and I spent 2 weeks before sourcing furniture in charity shops, friends and families all furniture etc and he bloody loves it and having a place to himself. You should be so proud of what you have achieved x

Lovely video. Nothing beta than a meal done in the slow cooker too. They say "it's not how big the house is, it's how happy the home is". And you definitely have a happy home. When my daughter asks me if I like something in her house or she's done something in her house or bought something, if I do, I tell her I do, but if I don't then I say to her "it's not my cup of tea darling, but if you like it, this is YOUR HOME, not mine, and you live here, not me, and that's all that counts". We all do our best with what we have. My house is clean n tidy, but I am not a minimalist by far, but I love how my home is and I think it's cosy n welcoming. A lot probably wunt like it, but that's their problem. It's my home, I gotta live in it - they ant. And your room looks lovely. And who doesn't like a "freebie". Take care 😘

Hi ya. I grew up in a council house and it was a beautiful house my mum kept it lovely. My brother now lives in the same house as my mum lives with me now she’s getting older. My dad died 5 years ago and she tried to live in the house alone but she was really lonely so now she’s with me. She said the house was a family home and needed children in it so my brother was the lucky one to be on the council list looking for a bigger home at the right time. Your lounge looks fab. Sorry that wasn’t supposed to be so long lol. Just felt like I was chatting to you 💕💕💕
Ive just finished decorating my 2 bed flat after i done a exchange . It nearly took me a year . I had to do it all by myself and with my fibromyalgia . I wanted it all done so I can spend time with my mum who's cancer has now spread to her brain. Your channel is my life saver big time faye xxx

@@NANov5 yes I did big time spent so much time sleeping from fatigue also . I rushed to get the last room done as I didn't want to keep coming back from my mums worrying about decorating. This last 2 weeks have taken the life out of me big time. I could barely stand for 2 days . I need to be strong for my mum . This is the worst hurt and heartbreak ive ever felt . She was diagnosed with small cell cancer last December. Had one lot of chemo. It dropped it from growing. Now its spread to her brain . She doing another lot of chemo but we think its not going to help. My mum is my world my everything 😭😭😭

Faye, I also live in a council house and recently had lino laid in my lounge and hallway .. I tell ya I'll never have carpet or laminate flooring (which is what I had down) again. Lino all the way lol

Great to see someone make there house into a home, it's not about ownership it's about respect for the bricks and mortar that is yours to live in.
I don't like people who think they are better because the are paying a mortgage, there no different, it will be years before they actually own it and when you walk in and shut the door it's already yours.

I would LOVE to live in a council house faye! 😢 been private renting for years , not only is it extortionate- its unstable. Nothing is ever our home. And hard to get on council now as we dont qualify for anything. Cant afford to buy...so iv been stuck. No idea why anyone would be ashamed to live in a council house thats crazy init xx

No one should be ashamed. I own my own house in a council estate but if the council said they wanted to buy it back and I could rent it from them..I would bite their hand off. I'm spending thousands every year for repairs eg windows, boiler, plumbing issues etc.
Seriously give me a council house over owning a house anyday.

I live in a flat, but... Its large, private garden with fir and apple trees, and 2 minute walk to 2 beaches and a small town, people hear council flat and recoil lol but when they visit its like wow!! You have done a brilliant job in the frontroom just shows its not money that buys style 😊

Wow Faye your lounge looks really good, it looks like a real cosy family home. We live in a council house , it’s never worried me I’m just grateful to have a place we can call home. Once you close the door it’s up to you to make a house into a home you are a great example to us all.

I'm in a council tower block but once the front doors shut you wouldn't know until you looked out the window. Rooms are huge and I'm lucky to have good neighbours. I love my flat. That new unit is gorgeous, you get some cracking bargains!

i am luckily enough to be mortgage free now but remember i had everything gifted or purchased second hand and still say they are the best quality items for a home. it is by far better to live to your means than live a lifetime of debt. the lounge looks stunning and the flooring is great when you have fur babies. xx

Rooms looks great and love the flooring I think vinyl looks just as good as laminate and I'm currently replacing my hallway and kitchen from laminate to cushioned vinyl so I can mop it easier.
Looks lovely Faye you have done a beautiful job your room looks so cosy and inviting but don’t stress over mess I don’t stress when my hubby decorates because I think it will be nice when it’s finished it took my hubby 12 weekend’s to decorate our living room but I didn’t care because it looked beautiful in the end xx

Looks amazing really enjoyed this vid. The fruit flies are soooo bad this year! Top Tip! Get a glass or empty jam jar or whatever fill it half with vinegar then put either tin foil or cellophane over the top and put little holes in it. The fruit flies love vinegar they will go in and not be able to get out. I did it had about 20 fruit flies caught in it in less than 20 minutes! Xxx

As for free or second hand go for it, money is better in your hand then spending it on expensive items, to show off a lifestyle many can not afford,

Just wanted to say though, no one should be ashamed living in a council house. I grew up in one, but one full of love and plenty of home cooked meals (love my slow cooker!) and even though I own my own house, it technically belongs to the bank not me, as not many of us are lucky enough to not have a mortgage - so mortgage or rent, we are all the same!
Keep doing what you are doing with your boys, making lovely memories and worry about buying a house when your boys have flown the nest, as time goes too quickly x
