Hindi siya nagresign as VP, nagresign lang siya from part of Cory cabinet. I think also some others like Pepe Diokno, Lorenzo Tañada and other prominent oppositions during Marcos withdrew their support from Cory's administration dahil yun nga, napagtanto nila na wala talagang pinagkaiba si Cory kay Marcos (berdugo rin pala ang administration ni Cory) tapos nadagdagan pa ng tinawag nila na incompetence from Cory's part. Hindi napigil ni Cory noon ang EJK na nagpatuloy pa rin and the war on terror that she unleashed through vigilante groups like Alsa Masa, etc. and the worst part is hindi man lang pinakulong sila Enrile, Ramos at Ver na mga kanang kamay yan noon ni Marcos at maituturing na may mga crimes against humanity nga yan sila. Even yung nanay ni Duterte na si Nanay Soledad na isang civic leader noon sa Davao na tumulong noon kay Cory at sa oposisyon during Marcos era, pinagparesign si Cory because of incompetence.
