Drinking Songs

This song was written by my father, Buford C. Jones. He was an aspiring singer songwriter writer in the 60’s and 70’s and wrote prolifically. He sold a couple of songs to Loretta Lynn’s publishing company, and received some royalties through SESAC, but he never went as far as he would have liked. However, his songs were, in my opinion, well crafted country songs for the day and I would like to share them, I feel that had the dice roll been with him and the right performer of the day had recorded these songs, they would be among the classic standards that country music enthusiasts still hold dear today.
