Recently added a Sky Raven to the collection. The toy is a thing of beauty with the silver look. Got to admit that I do enjoy watching the DIC G.I. Joe cartoon, silly as hell and at the end of the day it was a cartoon for kids. Life can't be too serious all the time.
My wife got me a Sky Raven as a wedding present and then as an anniversary present a few years later had it rechromed and also a Night Raven drone chromed as well. And sir when you talk about beautiful it is just that. I still get giddy over 10 years later looking at that plane. 😊
Literally every Joe is airborne and air assault qualified. Further, most have been shown to be cross trained on all fixed wing, rotary wing, and VTOL craft. Having a subgroup specifically for air ops is simply redundant.
In Europe since I mostly read just comics and newer saw all the episodes of the animated series, NEVER heard of this line. Obviously know Airborne but others...
I swear those DiC episodes were made on drugs, it's the only explanation I can think of for how bonkers they are.
