I just made your bread recipe.😋 I used whole wheat flour and I replaced the olive oil with unsweetened applesauce. It is delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
It truly is Amazing I tried it and I love it! I didn’t have self rising flour so I made mine with all purpose flour teaspoon and a half of baking soda quarter teaspoon of salt and then I didn’t have vanilla yogurt, but I had peach yogurt and I was so determined to try this recipe that I use the peach yogurt cup and 3/4 as you saidit all came out amazing. It is so delicious. I love that you show us how to make things with one or two ingredients and it comes out absolutely great thank you for showing us these recipes.
This is Irish soda bread! My family made it with buttermilk, flour, salt, and baking soda. Glad you’re helping more folks discover its tastiness. Edit to add, you’re such a pleasure to watch! I feel like I’m in the kitchen with a family member or a good friend.
Hi Pam. This was my first attempt to bake in ten years since I got sick. It sounded so easy I wanted to surprise my family. The shape isn't exactly right and it's slightly burnt on the bottom. But my first attempt is yummy. Thank you for giving me a little bit of my kitchen life back.
That's all she had to say, and I was on board. And if it ends up being cheaper than buying the cheapest bread in my store, I'll make it b/c I'll have to start making my own bread soon to survive anyways. Hopefully. If we can just make it three and a half more months with this economy....

Absolutely agree. Plus you have an incredibly beautiful voice! I love to watch and listen. Can’t wait to try these recipes. I want to stop buying bread from the store.
For those not wanting to use aluminum foil, I just put another loaf pan with the open side down on top of the bread loaf pan for the second half of the baking. Worked great. Just be very careful not to touch the HOT oven loaf with your hands while putting on and taking off - I used 2 oven mitts.
@@dellamonroe8814 Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil are oils and mostly neutral in taste, especially if refined, and are non-GMO. Same with Olive Oil, but that might yield a slightly noticeable taste. "Vegetable" Oil i.e., from corn, soybean, safflower, peanut...are mostly GMO-ed.
I just made this bread and it came out so good. It is soft and hearty. For those of you asking about baking time, Miss Pam says to preheat and bake at 425F for 30 mins then lower temp to 375F, cover loaf in foil, and bake for another 30 mins. My oven browned the bread a bit too much for my liking, so I might cover loaf in foil at the 15 minute mark next time. This recipe is a keeper. Thank you, Miss Pam!
Yes, I wish I had read the tip before I made this. Mine was over browned also. Will follow your tip next time, but this bread recipe tastes DELICIOUS!!! ❤️❤️😍😍🥰🥰
Battling some seasonal depression and here you are gorgeous and delightful as ever! Thank you for that smile and positivity you've pulled me out if this funk ❤
425 degrees. Bagel seasoning toasted in skillet. Sift all flower. Loaf pan. Spray it. Then spray after lining with paper. Combine dry ingredients. Then wet ingredients. Milk at room temperature. Blend into dough but don’t over mix. Pour in pan. Should be thick. Make as even as possible. Add bagel seasoning on top. 425 degree x 30 minutes. Turn oven down to 375 degrees. Add foil to cover the loaf. 30 more minutes to cook.
I made this bread recipe TODAY , AND my husband and I were delighted with the results. My husband says, "It is GREAT 😃"It really is Home made, and we followed the directions, exactly 💯. You are such an inspiring person. Thanks 👍 be to GOD for your channel, and profound thoughts.

I tried this recipe using Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Flour, Soy Milk, and corn free baking powder due to my husband's odd diet at the moment and it turned out absolutely wonderful!! Can't wait to try it with the regular ingredients. Thank you, Miss Pam!!!!
I love how you're communicating to the public with calm and simultaneously excitement making the whole presentation enjoyable to watch and listen. Thank you 🙏🏼
This is my favorite recipe from Pam! She had posted it a while back. A lot of my family members require gluten free food. Well, gluten free bread is EXPENSIVE. I make this recipe using gluten free all purpose flour (Great Value). The result is like Pam says, "Amazing!"
Gluten free you say? The measurements are the same? I'm on Keto. That should work for me. Weelll, I should admit, I'm a lazy Keto. 😃 But this Pam bread is top notch. I really want to try it,
Everything I’ve tried gluten free has been a brick I’ve tried different flours. 😂for cakes and pancakes this looks fairly unscrewable. Was your bread dense my baked goods seem to always be dense
Tips my mother taught me: - Mix with a fork to evenly distribute the salt, baking powder & sugar in the flour. - just like cinnamon bread mix the seasoning in with the wet for even distributed taste. - Lightly knock the pan’s bottom in a teeter totter way against the counter top to make a level top. Thanks for the recipe! Love your videos. Have blessed day
I love seeing what other mom’s handed down tips. My mom wasn’t a bread baker. zucchini or banana bread was it…lol Her baking was pies at TGiving. Or run to our bakery 5 miles away LOL. Her tip that would apply here is to sift ALL dry goods together.
It appears you have a convection oven. Do time/ temperature stay the same for a regular oven? Can I make this in my toaster oven and how do I change cooking time for the smaller pan?
Thank you for this video. I stopped buying “store bought” bread several months ago. What’s crazy is I’m not a baker. Pam, you have a way to encourage us so that “we can do it”! I must admit, I have had to modify the amount of flour I keep on hand. Just stocked up and put back 40 more pounds of flour. Also purchased wheat to grind if/when that day arises. I’ve learned so many wonderful things here. ❤❤❤❤❤
My mom used to also make a pesto with such ingredients. She used sun dried tomatoes and cook in a little olive oil with the basil, thyme rosemary and minced garlic and I think she used a bit of tomato paste as well she used itss as a spread for sandwiches she could make it green or red. I never made it homemade like my mom did. It was one of those things only mom makes lol. I never learned how to make it. As I moved on into the world to fend for myself I noticed they sold pesto in jars and containers and so I didn’t have to call my mom to ask her how to make it I just bought it already made lol
Hi Pam, first time viewer here...I am a bread maker myself, but I am loving the idea of fresh bread with no yeast and no rise time! BTW-love your style!
Pam, I am so glad I came across your videos because you take your time to speak to your viewers and explain everything to perfection and I can read your ingredients at the bottom of the page where most people do not list. Thank you so much retired and still learning ❤
Hey Pam I introduced mom to your channel. today, she saw your bread and decided to make it immediately. Well let me tell you it was delicious. We have a new favorite thank you very much, plus my mom’s 80 and she needed something to do now she’s watching you. ❤❤
Ok. Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm from South Africa and noticed the cups you are using are smaller than my cups. I also could not hear to what the degree I must lower the heat at the halfway mark as ny hearing is not so good. Thanks a mill will wait for your response. Go well and take care. ❤
@ruwaidajinoo2477 Since it's late in the US and I'm still up, I'll chime in in case you want to get started! One of our standard US measuring cups holds 240ml (approx. 120-125g dry weight of flour), a tablespoon (TBSP) 15ml, and a teaspoon (tsp) 5ml. The baking temp on this in Celsius would be roughly 175°. I'm not sure how different this might be from what's commonly used in South Africa, but I hope it helps. Happy baking!
😂😂 that’s because I either keep foil on the bottom rack or I sit my dish on another larger tray to catch anything. I didn’t do those this time because I bake this bread all time so I figured I wouldn’t need anything. Thanks
Great ideas. I thought I was the only one putting foil on the bottom shelf of the oven and or using larger oven trays to catch spills. My sister had me thinking I was suffering from OCD mental issues 😊😊😊😊

Saw your video yesterday. Made my first loaf last night and another today.....this time in my cast iron fry pan. My husband loves this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I made a loaf of this bread today & it was fantastic!! It has a very Crispy/Crunchy texture on the outside & is very tender on the inside. I think it’s basically an Irish Soda Bread recipe. Next time I‘ll add a bit more salt but other than that, it was delicious. I was thinking next time I might add some minced Scallions & shredded Cheddar Cheese. I made my sweet, hard working man a big pot of Italian sausage, Peppers & White Beans for dinner to go with this fresh loaf of bread. Thx for sharing Miss Pam!

Last week we visited our daughter, about to make dinner she said she was out of bread, with no time to bake a standard loaf I suggested she bake an Irish sida bread, an identical recipe to this one. Worked like a champ and we had it with our dinner. Way to go Pam.
My favorite part of every chef cooking on here is when we get the chance to see them try it. That first reaction to their creation is so important to me and I suppose everyone waiting for the taste test part. ❤
I love bread, but haven't made any because of all of the steps and waiting! Now you post this easy recipe! God, please don't let me get addicted to making and EATING this bread too often. 🙏🏿

I used to think the same thing about bread. But then i did it. Which was scary without having been taught and before the internet but i followed directions and it worked.
I just made your bread recipe and it is delicious!! It didn't bake with a flat top like yours, but this is my first loaf of bread ever!! I know with practice it will look more like regular sandwich bread. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. No longer need to buy store bought bread! Yaay!!
Hi Pam. My name is Cathreen from South Africa. I was watching this recipe and I know and feel a connection between us. You must be a child of God. Ive had Yuppie flu about 30 yrs Ago and am battling still today With yeast infections and Candida syndrome. That means I am totally yeast intolerant. Have to make all my recipes yeast free and avoid a lot of sugar as well. Ive been making what we call vetkoek in South Africa for years using basically the same ingredients. I can never make a proper pizza base. Have to always make a yeast free version. The infection attacks my immune system straight away. I then get the worst setbacks ever Thank you for this recipe! This is my first time watching Cooking At Pam’s Place and I’m already hooked! Great recipe! I’ll try it when I’m watching my grandkids. I look forward to checking out more of Pam’s videos.
I have never made bread before so decided to try this today. I decided I wanted a garlic bread so I left out the sugar, and added in chunks of whole garlic cloves. I checked it after the half hour mark but I didn't have any tin foil so I turned the heat down as instructed and only cooked it for another 20 minutes and checked with a skewer like you did and it was clean so I took it out. The bread turned out DELICIOUS! The consistancy was more like a biscuit, and the outside was crunchy, but I will definitely make this again. THANKS so much for this recipe!
This reminds me of baking powder biscuits but who would’ve thought to make it into a loaf. Genius Pam. I’m going to try it for dinner tonight with a slight adjustment - buttermilk bread - by adding a ½ tsp of baking soda and substituting the milk for buttermilk. Hope it works. Thank you for such a great idea.
I had to add more buttermilk and next I’ll increase the salt. As it was, we sprinkled salt on top of it after buttering and it was perfect. Other than that they turned out great.
Stumbled across your channel today and soooo glad I did! 40 some years ago I used to bake bread, but at 76 it is too much trouble for one person. I am definitely going to try this recipe! It looks so easy.
I am not a cook, espec baking, but I love bread. Tried those rise breads, and they always came out wrong/ hard. This was so easy and came out perfect. Even bought the bagel seasoning. Only thing, didn't realize the seasoning was so salty, overdid it. Next time I will use less
Oh my gosh, that looks like the things for me! I have always wanted to bake bread but I do not know the certain feel of the dough and don't care to trial and error it out. This recipe is perfect for my fantasy of baking really good bread! Thank you Pam, I look for to learning more!

Remember, when you are toasting seeds or spices in a dry pan, when you get them done to your liking, get them straight out of the pan into a plate or some cool vessel. Don't let them sit in the hot pan, it's still plenty hot enough to burn your seeds in just moments.

Pam THANK YOU for this amazing recipe. I made it the original way last week and then today I decided to make it with adding a cup of raisins and then I layered the batter with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar when I put it in the pan. I also added a little extra sugar to the batter mix. It’s turned out so good I’m so happy that you introduced this recipe that I never ever have to struggle again making bread that taste wonderful.
@@nahlabella4857 it turned out really good. I wish there was a place to post picture. I was really happy. It’s still dense, of course. But I had a piece as soon as it was done with some butter and then I had put some in the toaster the next day. It was so good. I’m also going to try and add Italian seasoning to my mix. But this is by far the easiest And it’s the best bread without doing all those steps of needing and rising and waiting.
@@TraceB1979 Well, thank you very much for replying and so quickly too! So, if I understand correctly, you added the raisins to the batter and then layered your cinnamon/sugar mixture in the pan? Sounds so good ~~~~!
I’m amazed you didn’t let the dough rise and it vane out good. My mom and g-mom used to place the dough in a bowl in which they placed a kitchen towel in and cover it up with another cotton kitchen towel then put it aside to let the dough rise like 30-45 minutes before making their bread. This way you do is so much simpler. Less time consuming. So appreciate you sharing this method to us
When you use yeast in your dough, that’s when you have to set it aside to let it rise. She don’t use yeast here which is why it’s such a great recipe. I made it and it’s really good
Thank you for this recipe. My son made it and it turned out good. He actually substituted the flour for chickpea flour, used olive oil and coconut sugar. It is good. Next time he's going to make it with the regular ingredients. We really enjoyed your video.

Thank you so much my beautiful beloved Sis. Much love ♥️
What temperature and for how long?
The end of the bread is my favorite part. Specially, when it’s warm.
@@debbijones6121 425° for 30 minutes then turn down to 375° cover with foil and bake for another 30 minutes.

Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if this can be done the vegan way. You answered my question..
Thank you for soy milk information!

@@jewelallens4435it is in the description box.
This is my favorite recipe from Pam! She had posted it a while back. A lot of my family members require gluten free food. Well, gluten free bread is EXPENSIVE. I make this recipe using gluten free all purpose flour (Great Value). The result is like Pam says, "Amazing!"
Have you tried it with oat flour?! Thx🌺
Was just thinking of doing the same thing!Lol!
I bet it's amazing!
Do you use the same flour measurements?
Gluten free you say? The measurements are the same? I'm on Keto. That should work for me. Weelll, I should admit, I'm a lazy Keto. 😃 But this Pam bread is top notch. I really want to try it,
Everything I’ve tried gluten free has been a brick I’ve tried different flours. 😂for cakes and pancakes this looks fairly unscrewable. Was your bread dense my baked goods seem to always be dense
Such a warm engaging human! I love to watch your videos. They make me feel like all is ok in the world!
Aaaawww thank you so much for your kind words. Blessings my friend! ❤️
@@paulasmith7803 Well said!
Tips my mother taught me:
- Mix with a fork to evenly distribute the salt, baking powder & sugar in the flour.
- just like cinnamon bread mix the seasoning in with the wet for even distributed taste.
- Lightly knock the pan’s bottom in a teeter totter way against the counter top to make a level top.
Thanks for the recipe! Love your videos. Have blessed day
Thanks for sharing your Mom's baking tips!
I love seeing what other mom’s handed down tips.
My mom wasn’t a bread baker. zucchini or banana bread was it…lol Her baking was pies at TGiving. Or run to our bakery 5 miles away LOL. Her tip that would apply here is to sift ALL dry goods together.
Right I still do 😂❤
It appears you have a convection oven. Do time/ temperature stay the same for a regular oven? Can I make this in my toaster oven and how do I change cooking time for the smaller pan?
How much flour, salt, baking powder and sugar did you use?
Pam is the Bob Ross of Cooking. And I love it.
Gonna try this recipe asap.
Baking another loaf right now 😂 It is so easy and so darn good. Earlier I baked some tomatoes, basil and garlic to go on top. Thanks again Pam! 🍞
Hey that's a good idea!
Yummy
Tomato basil and garlic sounds like ingredients for a good spaghetti sauce lol
My mom used to also make a pesto with such ingredients. She used sun dried tomatoes and cook in a little olive oil with the basil, thyme rosemary and minced garlic and I think she used a bit of tomato paste as well she used itss as a spread for sandwiches she could make it green or red. I never made it homemade like my mom did. It was one of those things only mom makes lol. I never learned how to make it. As I moved on into the world to fend for myself I noticed they sold pesto in jars and containers and so I didn’t have to call my mom to ask her how to make it I just bought it already made lol
Mmm mmm that sounds so good! Tyfs!
Saved this yesterday, got seasoning last evening, and listening again as I make it. You can literally make this while she explains - it's THAT easy! ❤
i thought it looked that easy👍 so many cooking shows i’m like “ok here goes” then i cannot follow the person.

350º
@ruwaidajinoo2477 Since it's late in the US and I'm still up, I'll chime in in case you want to get started! One of our standard US measuring cups holds 240ml (approx. 120-125g dry weight of flour), a tablespoon (TBSP) 15ml, and a teaspoon (tsp) 5ml. The baking temp on this in Celsius would be roughly 175°. I'm not sure how different this might be from what's commonly used in South Africa, but I hope it helps. Happy baking!
Actually she said 375 degrees. Replayed the video because I too missed the lower temp
My 3 daughters and I baked this yesterday. It is delicious and they finished it off with their brothers today. Thank you for this recipe!
How did it taste? Was it more like a cake texture or just bread? I am curious. I will have to make it.
That’s the cleanest oven I’ve seen😊
😂😂 that’s because I either keep foil on the bottom rack or I sit my dish on another larger tray to catch anything. I didn’t do those this time because I bake this bread all time so I figured I wouldn’t need anything. Thanks
Great ideas. I thought I was the only one putting foil on the bottom shelf of the oven and or using larger oven trays to catch spills. My sister had me thinking I was suffering from OCD mental issues 😊😊😊😊

Hey Pam. You caught me in a bread making phase. This is the easiest way I've ever seen 😮. Thanks 😊
I made it and it’s really good
@@WeeTh3people1776 oh wow you’re right she didn’t use yeast and yes my mom always used yeast.
So wow thx for the enlightenment!
Thank you, Ms. Pam, I always use the machine as im not a baker, this looks like an intro for a newbie baking bread. Amazing‼️
WOW that is Stupendous how easy, professional & delicious too; thank you so very much Pam❤️🌹👌🌹
Thank you so much Pam!!! This looks amazing! I work at Trader Joe’s so you know I will be using the “Everything but the Bagel”seasoning!😁
Thank you for this recipe. My son made it and it turned out good. He actually substituted the flour for chickpea flour, used olive oil and coconut sugar. It is good. Next time he's going to make it with the regular ingredients. We really enjoyed your video.
Hi Pam. Looks great! It's going to rain this week so I am going to make this bread. Nothing tastes better than warm bread with butter and soup.
Well, I just pulled my bread out of the oven. The whole neighborhood was sniffing around while it was baking 😋. I'm going to let it cool down even, as hard as it is... 😆 wanting to try it right now. You nailed it with the everything bagel seasoning, Mrs. Pamela! Oh my gosh, freshly baked, yummy bread in record time!
That bread looks soooooo delicious, I can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks so much Pam for sharing your kitchen wisdom with us!!! I love all of your kitchen tips and tricks ❤❤❤.
Hi! I cannot believe how simple this was to make! I have been wanting to bake bread for about two weeks, but kept thinking that I didn’t have enough time to knead the dough or to proof it. I was so glad to come across your recipe.☺️ I added Garlic powder and an Italian spice blend to my dough and used a glass pan for which I had to lower my temperature 25° and also cook my bread an additional 15 minutes, but it is so delicious!
Awesome!! Glad you like it!
I just discovered this channel yesterday, and made this bread today. It was so easy to make and delicious. My Mom loved it. I am going to make fried chicken using the recipe on this channel for Sunday dinner. I feel like I have just discovered a wonderful gem on UA-cam.
