I've never thought about using the fletching in that way but it makes complete sense. I'm definitely going to play around with this. Thanks for the tip Uncle Brad!!

Traditional Archery is kinda like Golf. Lots of people struggle with it. So like Golf there are people making a living trying to fix the folks that are struggling. You definitely want your string hand and forearm in alignment. A static release is best for a hunter, in my opinion. As for draw check, I personally don't use one. I just draw to my anchor point, focus and release. I don't want anything going through my mind other than putting the arrow where I want it.

    The double anchor .
Finger in repeatable spot on face and tip of feather to nose .
Saw that first with Rick Welch .

Thank you very much for this video. It's very refreshing to watch someone as good as you are who has been doing it as long as you have be so humble about himself. It helps people that are fairly new to archery who speaking for myself, can't ever have great form due to numerous injuries to my shoulders and elbows. I can't even straighten out either of my arms in a lockout position.
Anyway, as bad as my form is the best I can do is to repeat my form as bad as it is the same way to get consistent shots. I think this would help my anchor point once I get into fletching my own arrows. Thank you & God bless!

Thank you for watching and commenting and your kind words. I agree 100%, just finding what is comfortable for each individual that can be repeated is the key. Good luck with fletching your own arrows when you get started. I have a video about that if you're interested. If you would like to see a certain topic in a video, let me know.

Fine instruction and recommendations...Thank you Brad...
My arrow setup...from nock throat to feather base at shaft is approximately 2.0"s...our individual structures dictate the best positioning of the feather.
An exercise that I practice: draw to anchor & touch nose...holding with rhomboids...maintaining a relaxed forearm....release back tension in a controlled manner where the feather moves from the nose perhaps an 1/8"...then reset to nose using only rhomboids...work to build up to being able to repeat this routine 3 to 4 times...may release the arrow after the 2nd or 3rd time while repeating this exercise....may let down... enhanced control is the objective.

Thanks. Haha. It’s the blind hog thing on those trophies. We will be all the way back past where the ranges start. Ours is the last campsite before you have to cross the creek. Come holler at us.
