Enjoyed watching this. I’m going to share it with a couple “makers” I know. I believe my Aunt, Jean Swanson had a floral shop in this building years ago. She would have loved this! Sadly, she passed in November. I do have a suggestion… come up with a way people can submit historical stories about this building for the future generations. If you ever decide to write up something on the history of Viola and this building, personal stories will be helpful. I also realize you don’t need another thing on your plate right now however, the time to capture them is now. I’m excited for you and can’t wait to see where you take this. Viola is lucky to have you!
@@gemini4life851 very kind! Your suggestion is something they 100% agree with and have actually already started doing. Chase and Jackie just had a 93 year gentlemen in last week before we the Mercantile opened and he spent a couple hours with them telling stories behind a camera and microphone, about Viola and the opera house. His first job was working in the hardware and grocery store (now Mercantile) when he was a teenager. That history must be recorded!
