Best of luck with your remaining interviews!! You are going to crush them, have faith and things will come in your way. I have an idea of which law school you are attending next year but I could be wrong xD. But no matter where you go, you will crush it and become the best international litigation lawyer in New York City!!
Omg thank you so much!! It really made me so happy to read this :)
@@LegallyCaroline Welcome!! :D You got this
Omg Harvard congrats!!! You truly deserve it!!! Could you please film your transfer application process video for international students?
Thank you!! There’s no difference for international students in the transfer process vs domestic students!! It’s just like applying to law school again basically, but way fast tracked!

@@LegallyCaroline i hope i get admitted to Law School soon, too. manifesting🥳🥳🙏💖
damn!!!! congrats on harvard!!!
Thank you!!
For me, Evidence is a 4th-year paper so Legal 401, I am in 1st year 1L, this year I am doing 4 papers as one of the papers I am doing runs for the whole year , half is taught in A trimester and other half is B trimester which I am in now, I finished Legal Method A which i got an A- overall last semester. Now I am doing Legal 104 and Legal 106 (remainder of Legal 106), hope to get A, A- or A+ in both legal 106 and Legal 104, So then first year will be done , got 2 and half months left
Oooh are most of your courses marked by paper rather than exam?
@@LegallyCaroline so here in New Zealand we call them papers rather than subjects, so for example legal106 is called a paper and legal 104 is called a paper. It’s just what we call it here but we have this system of flexi which allows us to study from anywhere , it was introduced last year when Covid was there and it accelerated the process so we do have exams but it’s mostly an online exam and yes still got to write essays for section A-C which are all 25 marks each , section D is like 5 mark questions. The good thing about my university as what we call it here in New Zealand is that flexi is there if we need it which really helps , the testing is online. One of my papers is legal 106, 30 point paper so runs throughout the year and so instead of assignments , there are 4 tests in total plus exam at the end , I’ve successfully completed 3 and got one more. My legal method B paper has assignments but no exam so it’s ratio is 100:100 , in the legal method paper I’ve learnt to draft a case analysis, read cases and interpret them, wrote a legal opinion and legal opinion and statutory interpretation, I’ve also learnt how to write a memorandum legal opinion to a partner in a firm and this semester I’m learning how to write a case analysis on contracts but just basics meaning there was only one lecture in contracts but in 2L is when I go more into depth, I’m also learning how to write a client advice letter to a client , it’s great because all this can be used to in practice. Next year I’ll be doing 2L and I’ll be studying Jurisprudence, Contacts , public law and Torts ,
Would love to hear from you :)
tonic water is different from sparkling water btw
Omg I did not know that 😭😭😭
Caroline did you do SEO? I was a law fellow this year!
I didn’t do the program, I just attended a diversity seminar they held over a weekend! :)
would you say it's relatively easy in the US to go to law school in one state, and then work for a firm in another? i'm also from Ontario applying to US schools but i'm worried my school decision will seriously limit where i can live and work since state laws vary so much. how did you pick a state?
I think it really depends on the type of school T14 and similar schools allow for great mobility! So at Michigan students ended up working all over: LA, DC, NY etc. If you're doing to a lower ranked school, like lower T50 or outside of T50, then I think where you go matters a lot more! It's not that state laws matter, because you can take the bar anywhere, no matter where you go to law school, but it's about whether law firms are looking to hire from your school! If you go to a lower ranked school, you might have to put a lot more work into applying to a certain city and networking there! hope that helps
@@LegallyCaroline thank you so much Caroline! that's really helpful. i am aiming for T14 but we'll see. but don't you learn state laws in law school? like if you go to school in Michigan, would you just as easily be able to pass the New York bar or would you have to put in a ton of extra work?
by the way, congrats on the Harvard transfer!!
You don’t learn state laws in law school haha, unless you take a specific course for the state’s law, bht law school is usually much more general in their teaching. I’ve only really had state law brought up as examples of laws
@@LegallyCaroline hahah my bad, thanks for your help! :)
do you put youtube on your resume
yes haha, and it's come up in interviews several times since then, it's a fun talking point
24 interviews?!?!? Go head nah
Yeah it’s a crazy week haha
I think i know which law school youve transferred to ;) lol
Hahaha I promise I’m not trying to hide it and be super secretive or anything, I just want to do a fun big reveal video and haven’t had time to film it 😂😂
