Alright y’all so I get it, these aren’t niche anime and manga. They did very well numbers wise in Japan. It was a mistake, I shouldn’t have called it that. I’m sorry. Please stop being weird about it now 😂😂
@@wander7812 apologies. Maybe niche and weird were the wrong words. Just that we aren’t used to seeing anime crossover games without the inclusion of the big 3
@@DvtGuyBry well duh the big 3 are under Weekly Shonen Jump this game is crossing over Shonen sunday and weekly Shonen characters so of course it won’t have DBZ or Naruto
So the guy from ARMS is named Ryo Takatsuki, he's the main character of Project ARMS. Which actually had an official english release years ago by Viz Media, both anime and manga. With an English dub by Ocean Group with the late Kirby Morrow dubbing Ryo. Not many people gaved this series a chance due to it's inconsistant animation quality and that it takes awhile for the story to really open up beyond a group of teens with nanomachines dealing with an secret organization stalking them.
Hey, I'll be your old head here today to be the one who's not only heard of the game and was also responsible for the game's combo system being broken wide open week 1 of its release those 15+ years ago. Game's busted to all hell but is a fun play if nothing else. Be sure to check out the "beat-em-up" mode and the roster pool of both playable characters and assists too. Also know that even more obscure is the DS baseball game that relates to this one. Enjoyed the vid!
This is so hilarious. Glad you enjoyed it. I definitely gotta check the other modes out I just wish there was an English patch. But I’ll make it work. I did actually see the baseball game, it’s actually such a cool concept. I might just watch all the shows just for that game!
peak MANGA, the anime turns the dial on the harem high school trope that i ended up being unable to enjoy it (at least later down the road, the one where they don't follow the manga at all)
No I definitely heard of this game I downloaded it on PSP ISO is back in the day when that was a thing during the hacked PSP era I really was hyped because they had tiger mask and ikki from Air gear I still have the ISO on one of my memory sticks and I even went and brought a physical copy of the game years later
Ohhh my goodness, I remember the hacked PSP Era I had. I had DBZ Tenkaichi Tag Team and Shin Budokai. Just unlocked a deep memory. I also use to have a bunch of GBA and Super Nintendo Games back then as well, what a time.
@@DvtGuyBry yep definitely was a time to be alive PSP ISOz custom firmware with all the unique PSP intros and xmb waves, & Pandora batteries brings back many many memories of my youth lol 😂
Did you not realise while doing research that these are all Weekly Shounen Sunday and Weekly Shounen magazine characters? Thats why theres no big 3 or other characters from Weekly Shounen Jump which is what gets the majority of anime crossover fighting games.
Project ARMS is a pretty overlooked Shonen series outside Japan. Too bad TMS Entertainment did a derp job for its anime adaptation and the manga is hard to find legally outside of pirate sites these days.
I love this video 👍🏾 I'm happy i had this in my watch later playlist. I made the right call 😂 no lie, that learning curve was like fighting a final boss. I have no idea was the figut figter is si hard. But after you beat him 😁 i knew you gained unstoppable skills. The hardest fighter was the first person bro. I would watch you play more of this. Ohhhh, you do know about that ken...ken 😑 the mighty des ..that anime with the different martial arts you was talking about. You fought the main character in this video. Wull he has his own game on the ps2. And it's a fighter ❤ it goes hard my man. Check that out dude. Emulation is your best friend man. That game was a blast. I oray you see this bro. It's a PS2 game but it's hella pretty
Do Jump ultimate super stars theres an English translation patch out there somewhere. It was made for ds obviously Japan only as well. Once i saw inyusha, kenichi and ippo in a fighting game i has to play!
Aside from that, I knew this game back from 2010, I really liked the line up of characters, where I wouldn't even say they are all B Tier characters, there are some nice series represented here 💯🔥
I'm not going to hate on you for liking that game. I was disappointed in it bro. It's hard to put it in words 🤔 it felt a bit slower then other similar games like it. it felt it stiff 🤷🏾♀️ like street fighter on snes felt faster/smoothing. I also wanted more combos. The combo system was too limited. Ok ok 😑 I'm about to glaze you up real quick in my other comment. I dud enjoy your video

I'm done dude 😂
These animes were actually not niche at all in japan. They were also top selling many years back to back.
ikr? like, this dude keeps saying "weird picks" or "random characters" or "niche series" like these mangas aren't popular on 2009 in japan.
@@yorukaze1400 Western Audiences when they realize half of *their* "Big 3" was not even all that popular in Japan to begin with: 😦
