The perfect UA-cam video. Thank you so much. Had no clue what a double hung window was. my next question is why would you want a double-hung window? Why do you need a window to open from the top down?
Personally, I'd like this for my study area because I tend to leave my windows open for air ventilation. However, when it's windy, things on the desk get blown away. If the window opening is at the top and not the bottom as how it usually is, I would still have my ventilation when keeping things in order.

What is a better window. Simonton Prism Platinum or Alside Mezzo.
+sampson2525 hi there, I think the Alside Mezzo is a better option. It's a newer design with better ratings. How did you think they compared?
+TheWindowDog.com I ended up purchasing the Mezzo windows. A little less expensive and a better look and newer design. I have simonton windows in the house currently. I didn't put them in so I don't know if they are Platinum windows or not. They seem ok, very chunky looking tho. I'll update after the Mezzo's get installed and will try to update after a season.
