When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge's intentions of driving off the native humanoid "Na'vi" in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers knowledge, of the Indigenous Race and their Culture, for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na'vi people with the use of an "avatar" identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.

Masterpieces like The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Logan, Knives out, Gifted, Inception, Shawshank Reduption, Godfather, Joker, Planet of the apes trilogy, Intersteller are considered one of the best.
Avatar is just avarage movie, you like it or not. It's not that great. It's good but not great

In past, trailer were made to tell the summary of a movie
It never stopped people from seeing the movies though. Personally, I find it to be an annoying strategy to get people to watch movies nowadays. Shroud them with obscurity, leave them guessing and speculating online to force people to see something they might not have liked

I realized this version of the 2009 “Avatar” trailer came from the DVD of “Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel”.
I wish Cameron managed to put The Abyss in his list of titles. But when that epic James Cameron title sequence starts, i get goosebumps

Tiamaat was a very Vast Feminine Planet, with Gigantic Trees and Unimaginably large Oceans.
Then the rest invasion began, she was blown up, and DNA of those beings were spliced.
This movie is exactly about that tragedy. We used to be Giants compared to who we are now. Tiamaat was at least 30 times the size of Earth, some say a thousand times larger than Earth. And those table mountains are chopped down trees. But we were like 100 ft tall.
Watch Prometheus about Giants, and DNA splitting,.
These movies are about our past, and one the reasons I didn't watch all until the Pandemic
