    I definitely hope you didn't shoot it just for the hell of it. Obviously it wasn't trying to hurt you. If it was, you would've been the very last one to know.

      Signs of a mountain lion in predator mode are ears perked up, not backing off, and intent staring. This thing definitely was on the verge of killing this dude, luckily since mountain lions are ambush predators they typically fuck off when they realize they have been seen. Not always which is why you need to be very careful but if you just yell at it while trying to look big or let off a couple warning shots they will most likely decide your not worth the risk and screw off. Just good to be alert and ready because while the cougar will usually fuck off, it will sometimes attack even when you are loud and it knows you see it.

      You should stay out of the woods for your own safety as that mountain lion was waiting for him to make a mistake like running or crouching down. They will also circle back and attack when you least expect it. You animal activists are unreal and ignorant beyond belief. I hope you encounter one and say the same thing to yourself while its jaws are around your neck. That was a very thin unhealthy mountain lion that is the most dangerous because they are desperate to eat anything they come across. It's not a domestic kitty cat nor are they scared of humans like ignorant activists say they are. Yall needs a real taste of reality. They kill deer and yall cry when we kill deer. Hypocrites. Humans are predators too. We also eat mountain lions.

      It’s amazing how an apex predator can be meters away from a human and you stupid liberals will still be like “oh, but don’t shoot it!” The animal’s life is much more important than a human’s own safety, oh yes!
      Mountain lions are stalkers especially when you’ve entered their territory in case your dumb ass doesn’t know. But you don’t know a lot of things, so can’t help stupid 🤦🤷

      Jan, I absolutely do feel that way! Our animals will always be thrilled to see you come home, even if you just went to the end of the driveway to get the mail, they never complain about the food you prepared, they’re always ready to snuggle in with popcorn and a movie, they are always happy to play and they will NEVER, no matter what it is, tell ANYONE your secrets. Your dog will always and forever be on your side and give you their endless love and their protection (no matter how small the dog) from harm. And they ask so little in return.
      Cats? Well, not quite as demonstrative as dogs but, if you have an affectionate puddie, it will also want to sleep on your lap, interact with you in ways you learn as you bond. If they ever come to anyone, when called, it will be to your call.
      Animals are God’s big, medium-sized and little angels. He knew his humans would need them.
      (sorry this got so long. I’ll get off my soapbox now.)

    This dude was frightened, he used his voice to make his presence known and if any of you came this close to a cougar in the wilderness I bet shooting it might cross your mind. And before you reply, I love animals and would never kill anything unnecessarily but cougars are one of the most lethal predators, and this guy knows it. Sometimes you dont always say the right thing when adrenaline is pumping, so ya'll just need to chill

    • @SirWenzlington
      @SirWenzlington Рік тому

      Yea, i love animals but in this situation the adrenaline and fear would definitely cloud my judgment. I would be way to horrified to even consider a warning shot even though I know it would be just as effective. I would probably just start letting off every round I have in sheer panic without considering the implications or risk related. We like to imagine we would do the right thing in these situations but the sheer horror of something like this happening would make most people start thinking irrationally as they completely ignore their better judgment

    • @samruhland848
      @samruhland848 Рік тому +3

      I would have started off by firing a warning shot into the ground next to it. Cougars can close in distance in a few seconds and I would just want it to fuck off in that situation

    • @jeffrey9224
      @jeffrey9224 Рік тому

      I totally agree, multiple warning shots would have been ideal, but as the other person stated, the adrenaline in this situation would have been record highs for that individual. Hard to think rationally. It's sad to kill such a beautifully beast, but the old motto, kill or be killed was pretty much the situation.

      While a warning shot would usually be loud enough to scare one off, you don’t think this when a cougar is stalking you. Your thoughts gets overwhelmed with adrenaline as your mind switches from normal to I don’t wanna fucking die don’t let me die. We all know that you most likely wouldn’t shoot the cougar… but in a life or death situation, most people would consider shooting the cougar the only choice.
