  • This is video from the second battery I have in the Ghost airplane. It is set up as a triple, but can easily be configured as a twin or single. AUW is 263grams as set up. Sub 250 grams is easily achievable with FPV gear.

Consider replacing this with a Delta shaped airframe, with a single electric motor power plant. In my teens, I became friends with Austin Leftwich, an AMA member who set several speed (and other ) RC records. While Austin is no longer with us, a copy for the plans of his "Delta Too" racer are available online. I can attest (by personal observation) to the speed and maneuverability of this craft. Find the plans here: outerzone.co.uk/plan_files_06/6151/Delta-Too_oz6151.pdf In light of new construction methods, I would use templates and a wire foam cutter to produce the main wing.

The whole 110X motor category looks like its had loads of development for multirotors but it would be interesting to see that stuff transferring over to fixed wings such as 1108 micro fpv wings. Idk how well the micro props transfer over in terms of efficiency and loading but the smaller and lighter electronics defo need more fixed wing-ifying. Thanks for the vid :)

It seems quite promising to me!

Extend those rear booms out and make it less stubby and I bet it would fly less pitchy.

My thrust angle is off a bit. That and it was severely out of trim.

That thing is amazingly quick, what props were you using?

Gemfan 3025 in the front and an HQ 3030 in the back. The odd propeller configuration makes it a bit faster and makes it sound really cool, too ;)

with 3 motors, one could go 1104 6000kV + 2S + HQ 3030. You would be under 250 gr with FPV gear and enough power and be very quiet as well.

I'm sure he means November 2018. Must be a typo.

Looks super fun Alex I want one! Does it need that much elevator surface -- looks like it's just adding drag. Once you put the pedal down though that's hillarious! - Cliff.

I am using the same elevator as my Spark and Gremlin. It is more than it needs for sure. However, the forward swept wing won't tip stall, so I can pull some impressively tight turns.

Hey Alex. Very informative videos of you. First of all you've made me learn so much about antennas and orientation of them, I'm grateful for that. However, I've one simple question that's been bugging me for months. Can you please take a bit of your expensive time to reply to this?
The monopole antennas have only one active part, right? Whereas dipoles I studied, have 2 out of phase. Now the immortal t is a dipole as advertised, but I still don't see how? If the black part is the reflector ground, how can it be a dipole? Isn't that a simple monopole with a ground plane?
I'm anxious for your reply. Hope you'll find it in your good faith to reply. :)
    Thanks again for your time.
