Unfortunately, I don't have to any experience with anything other than CI. It doesn't work for all the different sizes, but works well for the ones it does fit. The manual picking works, but is difficult to figure out in the beginning and takes a while... Sorry I'm not much help

why does the tubular lock tool not work
Great question! It's because the diameter of the lock and the tool are different. Can't remember which one is larger off hand, but that's the reason.
