Had my Pro for 6 months. My first dd base. Never used another dd but it feels amazing to drive, it’s built like a tank and has been totally reliable. Love it.
SC 2 Pro is a really great DD base and the company is well established. I'm sure the others at a similar price point are also good - this isn't a contest about who has bought the best product. No complaints from me - it just works. The speed of switching wheels is not really relevant, it's not like we're changing steering wheels during a pitstop. The QR has virtually no moving parts and just works - I give it a tap when I need to remove the wheel and it comes off. No drama.
After g29 csl dd 8nm and dd1 I went for asetek forte. Love it it s om another level. Simucube is king and I love it Reasons I go with Asetek is qr with usb slew rate/price mine has 6.9 All those are great dd s If you are buying it now just don t go with Fanatec 😊
i wanna switch from my dd1 to sc2 pro/ultimate the thing that sucks is im gonna need 2 of those fanatec to usb adapters. all the wheels ive bought/made i did them w/ usb cause i have always thought about what i might do years down the line.
Totally agree, the UA-cam reviewers seem to protect Fanatec in their own interest. Simucube blows the DD1 and DD2 out of the water really. DD1/2 FFB is choppy, raw, not smooth at all. A Simucube transfers the motion into reallife smoothness. The Fanatec CSL DD's are totally different by the way, they are nice and smooth, but not powerfull enough for me. The Simucube is a CSL DD on steroids, exactly what I wanted :) I went from a CSL DD to a DD1, DD2 and finally the Simucube, I had them all, though the DD1/2 both got returned within 1 month, that was very clearly not the quality I was looking for.
@@Mr_shehabiyou should. At the very least you should cancel it for the new clubsport dd but as someone who has a dd1 I wish I had of bought simucube. Btw not that I have ever had an issue with the DD1, it's just too active and feels a bit unnatural.
Holy shit, I'm sorry, but it is. people will kill for saying this, but I can describe it like this. dd1 is like driving a car without tires. but with wheels. Simucube 2 Pro you have the wheels and tires. and it's not the settings. this is the easiest way to describe it. people will say that my dd1 didn't have the correct settings, but it did.@@Mr_shehabi

Hi SER, thanks for the review. So, despite the fact that the Slew Rate is a very determining factor in the quality of the feeling, and that the Invicta base has a better SR, you still prefer the Base SC2 Pro overall?
Slew rate is actually the rate of change of acceleration over time. It take some amount of time for the acceleration rate to ramp up and how quickly it does so is defined by the slew rate. A higher slew rate means a small time lag in reaching the target acceleration (i.e. force/torque) target. In physics, the rate of change of acceleration is referred to as "jerk" (i'm not kidding, you can look it up). So something that can change the rate of acceleration faster is jerkier. Drivers who slam on the brakes instead of progressively increase the brake pressure cause a much jerkier ride because they're causing the rate of deceleration to go from zero to some maximum in the shortest amount of time possible. The same with the throttle. You will feel like you are accelerating faster when the driver slams on the throttle rather than gradually builds up to maximum. In both cases, the maximum acceleration rate will be the same (i.e. when the accelerator is fully pressed) but the acceleration rate will feel as if it was faster in the case of the driver immediately flooring the accelerator. What you've felt instead of a higher degree of jerk. This is what the higher slew rate is giving you. A higher jerkiness in the changes of force output. This means the force feedback becomes more abrupt in the small fine details of the ffb which will extenuate the details to you without having to use a higher torque range output.
Hi, nice channel and honest review. I have a sc2 pro on my rig since 2 days and I love it, but unfortunately I heard a noise like as coil wine (or something like this) while driving. I read that several sc2 sport and pro make this noise, so I would like to know if you also have the same problem with your wheel base.
Everyone has this noise, i was also not happy about it but now even do not care about it as drive with headphones ;) this noise i think can be reduced when you adjust slew rate but ofcourse you wany slew rate as per car feeling so it is not an solution
Simucube is well established company chosen by loads of professionals. Simagic looks like they are doing great job. Id say soft is far better, but build quality and overall performance are not far off. If Id get great discount on Simagic I might as well get it

Asetek QR/wheel does not move at all! Note sure what you are referring to when you say Asetek moves... The fact you have to put a pin in place for the Simucube and the wheel gets stuck when coming out is in fact not good at all!
You can just swap the QR if you want, you can remove the base side QR and change it to something different, I think there is even a section in the manual on how to change it :) But I guess it's too late and you already gone for something else, from reading your comment, but just FYI :)
@@Dani_Jaricheck out Asher Racing. They make an adapter for this to make the assy not so long as you replace the existing base side with this plate that you can then bolt up the NRG or Simmagic or Accuforce to it that you like

If you’re having to hit the wheel to get it off the sc2 hub, you need to adjust the quick release.

@@John-ok8ts There's no coil whine from mine. But it certainly makes metallic, brushing-like sounds when e.g. going over kerbs. Not very loud, though.

After trying the newer v3 simagic bases there is no need for me to use the simucube now.

I was referring to Fanatec :) with movement. And with speed of wheel change to Asetek. Maybe I wasnt quite clear with that.

Simucube would have been my choice if they had a QR like Moza or Simagic.... a shame 😔.
