Great idea to venture into the water. Had me on the edge of my seat watching you wade through that dark water. Glad the snakes stayed away lol.

Love this show. Except it’s always their short of their target but always find enough to keep them going which is good. Sometimes they find a whole bunch.

I absolutely love Chris and Greg! Greg with his big bear like paws and Chris with her petite slender hands. Two beautiful people that I wish I could meet and spend a couple of days with. They are definitely my favorites. I could watch them for hours on end. I don't think I have ever curse or say the F word. Just super lovely people. I wonder if Chris ever gets cross with Greg when he becomes disappointed?

Now they have to travel 37 days straight at 107 miles an hour with no gas stops to turn that gold in. Then you have to fight 7 deadly spiders to get into the shop that just melts it into a useful form. Luckily when you are spawned in Australia they give you an enchanted sword and two med packs.

So I have a question please?
Have you tried towing a big coil around on a sled behind a quad bike, looking for gold nuggets - to cover more ground easier, maybe at night when it’s cooler & no flies?
If you have a big lease - would it not make more sense to methodically chain every square meter, rather than just wandering around aimlessly on foot over clear areas & old workings?
Bit like plowing a paddock on a tractor, you need a certain mindset to just keep working at it methodically and patiently. At least when your finished on one lease, you can be confident you left nothing behind that was within reach of your detector!
I guess you’d need a reasonable “bank” behind you to sustain you while you spend time & $ on fuel etc eliminating areas one bye one, just for peace of mind that you have covered it all.
If you saved every spot you found a nugget as a gps way point and overlaid the data on a map, might you not get a clue as to where the gold shed from to end up downslope where you found it?
Really no different than what exploratory drill programs do, except your locating and mapping surface alluvial gold by swapping a drill rig for a metal detector.
Isn’t that the whole point of a lease? To find the “mother lode” where a vein meets the surface and over time with erosion shed it’s gold downslope?
I enjoy watching, but after watching a few, it’s starting to frustrate me that there doesn’t appear to be a discernible “plan of attack”, as such, distractions with reports of poachers on another lease taking you away from your primary focus, and diverting resources (fuel & time) to something other than the primary focus?
Maybe it makes “interesting fodder” to film as a “reality show” style of video, but I think people are losing interest in scripted “reality shows” that are fake as all get out.
The impression I get from watching is that the venture is under capitalised & you are trying desperately to “jag” a big find sufficient to bankroll a more pragmatic & methodical approach?
I could be wrong, I admit to having never found a nugget in my life, but it’s not like I haven’t had the odd nugget or around 190 ounces of bars from the Perth Mint at one point.
I think I might approach it differently maybe?
I’m sure I’m wrong & what your doing probably makes sense, but it would be nice to know the backstory, why you do it the way you are doing it please?
THAT would be interesting info for anyone planning to get into it, who’s trying to formulate a strategy, the benefit of others hard won experience.

It's look easy, because you see video that cut and edited, finding 3-4 piece is not easy if you actually spend 6-8 hour a day, you get at least 19 AUD an hour if you work, vs spend 8 hour and 7 day to get 5 piece nugget.

This is alluvial gold in the streambed. In the States, we call it placer gold. It is rounded and tumbled. The jagged piece was recently released from the quartz and hasn't had a million years to hang about.
