... and this is just the easy level. On the hard level you have to decipher three different numbers to figure out the code, so even high-tailing it with experience it was still down to the wire.
The voices, especially the accents, and the sound are really compelling. It's really got a crazy urgency to it, I don't know -but thanks a million for posting this, I have never seen an Intellivision much less the voice module!
Growing up the intel was the console that made me a gamer. We would often spend evenings after dinner curled up around an old black and grey plastic RCA Tv in a scrap wood entertainment unit in the living room playing. Mom was always better then I was, but then again I was 3, she was still her 30's. Even her and my Aunt Bonnie would be up till 3 am playing Astrosmash. Don't get me wrong I love today's consoles. I love my wii u, my ps3 my 3ds, and sp but there was something refreshing and fun about going back and exploring where it all began for me as a gamer. I don't regret spending money on my intel super pro. 4
@@botmexicanpatriot So the point of this game is to defuse a bomb before it blows up the city skyline. You do this by inputting the correct 1, 2, or 3 digit code (depending on how many you set at the start of the game). To figure out each number, you need to go into the circuits and decode them. Every time you decode a sector of the electronics, the game reveals whether a part of the number on the 4x5 grid is actually a part of a number of the code or not. Now, you're not going to go through all 20 sectors of a number, but if you are smart, you can figure out for sure what a number is by decoding no more than 3 or 4 circuits, usually.
@@stevendebettencourt7651 Too stressful for me, miss me with that lol. The game looks really fun, especially for its time, but I wouldn't reccommend it to someone with heart problems, lol.
4:40 if that’s supposed to be a skyline it looks more like a sound wave pattern I know it’s the Intellivision and the graphics weren’t all that great back then but still that skyline reminds me of a sound wave layout
soldering iron. scissors/wire cutters. pliars. those are your tools. must replace diodes, relays, etc etc. you are diffusing a bomb. you must figure out which number the repaired circuits represent to diffuse the bomb.
Lol, believe me, first I had no idea what to do either. Then I checked this video: How to play BOMB SQUAD on Intellivision and complete guide and from there on I knew what to do.
IT VONT BE EASY.... Imagine the late 80s/early 90s - no UA-cam, pick this up at the swap meet - no instruction book... I used to tell my friends it was just a "fun with shapes/blow up a building simulator" That is until I finally figured it out - quickly jumped on the phone "Did you know you can actually STOP the bomb from going off?!? Yeah! Me neither!!!"
You were kind of suicidal in this game because you took a long shot at guessing the code was 6 since it could of been other numbers. I did that too when I played this in the early 80s and it was fun if I happen to select the wrong number/code (or messed up due to being nervous with the cutters or tools) causing the building to explode. Sadly the hand controller buttons of that Intellivision console didn't last long like less than 4 or 5 years of heavy play and you couldn't replace them since they could not disconnect from the console.
