Here is some footage of 8649 at Central and Erskineville over two seperate days, one for City Circle trackwork, and the other for ESR trackwork.

these are the rarest electric locomotives thats ever been reactivated for this type of work because I remember they had the the other unit that was also reactivated too. & still in its violet pacific national liverly. I often seen it at Clyde marshalling yard being stabled there. their more rare & common being used in the modern day work. but diesel locomotives sometimes are the most least used out of the Pacific national fleet on rail trackwork shift. mostly like the common 81's & 82's. plus these 86 classes were new to trackwork that the crew required more constant rollingstock to help out on these type of jobs as needed. & I think it's interesting too.
