watching this video shows a true CHANEL experience like I haven't seen on UA-cam, you touch and tap everything that's in touch with the wonderful product. great review.
It’s so bizarre that you’ve decided to start making more content on Coco whilst we’re in isolation. I’m in my family house atm and had left my 1980’s Coco in a different city before the lockdown. I miss it every day! We have such similar taste when it comes to fragrances! Love from Poland 🧡
“Enjoy what we already got” I love it! I stopped aiming for new stuff and it helped saved a lot. I can totally appreciate my older collection of fragrances. Though I’m still looking to own a Chanel, I wanted it to fit me and most of my mood.
Thank you for this video which is among your very finest. When this catastrophe is resolved, which one day will hopefully happen, my idea is to visit the Chanel boutique, and ask for a bottle of Coco and the gel. Then wander along to a favourite cafe and drink several lattes, watching humanity around me. I will breathe in the intoxicating scent of Coco. And I will remember this review. And you.
@@SuperDacob it's the style more than the notes. Sheldrake has that way of that blending the beginning and the end together so that you can't tell where you are in the perfume. The center is everywhere and the circumference is nowhere oxox
Would you believe Coco is the first perfume I fell for and my first Chanel. I was like 15 on a school trip to NYC and wandered through a mall or something and sprayed myself. I remember putting my nose in my shirt the whole bus ride home. 😂 Maybe I was very mature for my age but no way. I am actually a very ditzy person. 🤷😆 I have tried over the years to appreciate Coco Mademoiselle, but have never been able to, it always smells like a magazine insert in comparison, and this is frequently my complaint about so many perfumes. I say they "smell like a magazine", but maybe my senses haven't evolved enough to discern the nuances and they don't all actually smell the same but there you go. Coco edt with the big black cap will always be my fist love, with Opium (in summer) being my greatest love. I guess I'm strange.😂😙
Very impressed. Great video lots of pertinent information. Just purchase Coco. Love it I have a lot of Chanel Scents so very happy to add this to my fleet❤️🇨🇦
Thank you anna. I have also just started a new UA-cam channel dedicated just to perfumes called "Essence-tially Dacob" and in just a few hours I will be live premiering a new video on the topic of perfumes by CHANEL, Halston, Elizabeth Taylor, and many more! Come on over, set a reminder and chat with us live! Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/wNg-sqDpp3E/v-deo.html
I love Coco deodorant actually, it smells discreet but wonderful on me. Will hunt down soaps for sure, I used to have one but of course it's gone now. I use my no. 19 soap currently, my my it lasts for a long time.
ohh dacob. two years later i am seeing this for the first time. I love your thoughts about the lockdown. I felt the same way. I found myself wanting to do more, create more, compose more, because I was given this time and space. I wanted to show gratitude, even during such a horrible uncertain time. I have been thinking about Coco edp lately. And so it led me to this video because I knew you would have a good one for it. My expectations were, of course exceeded tenfold. I’m so sad they don’t have the soap or the bath gel and Coco anymore. Only in Coco mademoiselle. But I will be buying a bottle, 3.4 ounces in the EDP today. Thanks for inspiring me to open up my mind to this great world of fragrances. Always such a pleasure.
I love Coco. My 2nd favorite Chanel after Egoiste. The 2 are actually quite related so no wonder. I do think that the vintage formulation of Coco smells much more ambery and sandalwoody than the current formulation, but of course aging plays are part too. When well kept it ages soooo good. Im not a fan of the shower gel unfortunately, it smells to pungent and synthetic to me and I would rather use it as a bath gel. I was a fan of the soap and Im so sad its gone. Gotta hunt down some leftover stock. I agree it loses a lot of its scent once you use it on your skin, but it leaves a nice scent once youre all dried up. Perfect before going to bed. Sometimes I wish Chanel would just retire Coco, Egoiste, Antaeus and No19 and rerelease them as Les Exclusifs. Just like they did with No22. That would allow them to spend more on the ingredients. I would literally cry if I got an EdP of Egoiste. The Cologne Concentree is long gone, hard to find and often gone off...
N°19 is being discontinued as mass release and will soon only be available in their boutiques. Not sure if they will change the bottle too into the les exclsusifs style bottle... but that is the direction CHANEL is heading towards... Cristalle is next... COCO might not be long back down the line...
Hi! Dacob, can it wear by men too? Or it’s strictly for women? & which one would you suggest Me to buy CoCo or CAHEE ?? ( as they both have mandarine orange )
Coco is one of my absolute favourite special occasion fragrances!! ❤️ Just cannot wear it otherwise! How exactly is the extrait version different from the other formulations?
Coco was my first perfume love in high school. Funny that you feel like you're in the woods- I feel like I'm in Manhattan in another era. 😂The soap is a staple! I use it for spot washing on the days I don't shower, and one bar lasts a year 💛💛
Chanel has a strong and sharp masculine shadow in its legacy, no matter how feminine it may be perceived. Maybe that’s why as person who identifies as a man, I am very drawn to Chanel. It’s not the same for Dior, or even Louboutin who dedicated a whole menswear section.

Uh, this Emilio pronounces so bad EDT.. Hope he will change that, it is so upsetting like he is kicking me in the head with that word "toilette" :) Super review as usual
Waste of money, just buy a nice skin softening shower gel and add a lil of whatever perfume u want and shake it up. Do same with your favorite body lotion. Trust me it works a lot better than buying these overpriced Chanel things. Chanel’s shower gel is undetectable after I rinse off. But my own shower gel with a few drops of Coco is much longer lasting. And add the lotion I made and wow i didn’t even need the perfume . As for the soap, again u can make the soap too and use a softening soap so u can use the soap.
It's videos like this that make this channel special. TY.

Fragrance, especially my Chanel fragrances, do provide some escapism for me. They give me some "fancy" in our overly casual world.
Ahhhhhhhhhh. Relaxing.
I really want a bottle of coco noir. Smells Sheldrake-y, in the same way coromandel does
really? To me COCO NOIR is far away from COROMANDEL... oh the mystery of noses and their perceptions... hahaa! xoxo

Does anyone know when the pure perfume was launched? I bought a vintage bottle from the 80s, maybe early 1985 but am not sure exactly.
It launched in the mid eighties.
