I've figured it out. Ranchers work mostly for food. Breakfast: bacon, eggs, toast, coffee. Lunch: freeze burned cheeseburger nuked to perfection, red-bull. Dinner: beef roast, potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls, butter, milk, pie...seven days a week.

    It was interesting and enjoyable.
Your dad looked kind of sad when you said you were going home to eat. Can see where he misses having you around. Time moves on.
Thanks Brian for helping that calf with gas in the stomach. Can be dangerous stuff. Looks like you helped it.
Moving bales. Takes time to do.
Hauling water for the cows. Brings back memories. Daily chore for sure.
All for now. You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.

Cole, I’m fairly new to the channel and therefore don’t know if you addressed these questions before.
    1. How many acres is Sonne Farms, and do you intend to expand in the future?
    2. Number of cattle
    3. Different pieces of farm equipment
    4. History of the farm
    5. Cole, this operation is huge. How can you handle things alone when Brian retires?
    6. Brian, what are you plans for retirement?
    7. Any old farm photos or photos of the kinfolk?
If there is a video you’ve already made pertaining to these questions, let me know.
We love watching these vlogs and are amazed at what you both do to run this operation.

By the way Cole - nice buck! The best kind. Short walk to get it. Then load into the pickup and head home.
First time I found a bloated cow in the pasture, I rode home and called the neighbor, an old hand at cows. Plus it was his cow. She was laying up on a hillside, and can't burp. They had me put my jackknife into her side, so far back(?) and twist the blade. I was directly down wind. Gave a couple of old cattlemen something to laugh about for a few days. I almost lost it.

I remember many years ago,1962 or 63. I was on a 4-H farm tour at WVU dairy farms, and we watched a young cow have the gas released by inserting the venting device through the upper side. Same advice. Don't let this stuff spray on you or breath deep. Nasty stuff. It was interesting to watch the relief. When he pain was relieved. They had breed herds. She was Airshire. F-H was like FFA in some states. WVU, the land grant university in WVU. Anything Ag or technical. I spent a lot of time commuting home to there. Abt 75 miles each way. Good memories.

I have a white chicken chili recipe that wins chili cookoffs every year. Once the judging is over it always vanishes before all others. No kiddin', it's magic on a spoon. It's pretty much a standard recipe with my own secret stuff. It's like the Colonel's chicken 11 secret herbs and spices recipe. It's written on a yellow legal pad and kept in a safe. Not even my wife knows what it is (because she doesn't care, otherwise she would know) Next time at Starla Station I will bring you and dad a bowl and you can compare

Insomnia thoughts at 3:30 AM lead this old rancher into circular thoughts on whether or not you two know the difference between "kick the can" and "spin the bottle." Also gagging at the mere thought of the gaseous stench coming outta' cow bellies that are bloating... then laughing at how quickly a newly married man changes from craving Arbys all the time to wanting 'his wifes' chicken chili!" Your video had this stuff and more to keep me company while NOT sleeping so I thank you both for that. BIG storm heading in here so my lack of sleep isnt going to be helpful when we are out trying to get critters moved in and out of blizzard conditions heading in but hey, at least I'll have music running over and over in my head...
