I love how open and free this saxophone player is in this download. Talk about wearing your heart on your sleeve! UA-cam needs more of this. More of the "this is me😊".
Damn, that's a great title for a song..." This is Me".😅

Who plays this song at this tempo? Silky like molasses. It really does translate well.

What a fabulous player! I admire him for the last 7 years or so. But can anyone tell me why he sounds so flat so often? Is this a style in jazz he is trying to implement? I could almost understand if this was the case but, sometimes it just sounds so obviously under pitch. I am respectfully asking and i am looking for a serious answer from the pros. Thank you all!

You gotta take in account of his set up he most likely has a high tip open for a more open dark sound as well as his horn probaly which to the ear can sound very warm/flat

@@sweatybegoated3451 thank you! I thought it might be something like this or some styling procedures he is trying to execute. Thank you so much for explaining

Less is more. No doubt you've got the chops, Chad, but for me, vomiting all those scales detracts from the tune.

gorgeous playing and love the relaxed tempo (I'm not a fan of break-neck tempos snyhow). also can't help noticing they're recording in a room on board the starship enterprise for some reason.
