i was wearing paco rabanne 1 million about 2 days ago to a concert that I was playing in baltimore inner harbor. I got a really nice compliment from one of the first people I saw there. It apparently leaves a killer scent trail. I get compliments like that with out asking every day I wear 1 million and am around people. La Nuit is another big compliment getter for me... women esp like that one. very seductive.
So Al I have to say that because of your passion I decided to call and order some samples from Creed. I am loving these scents. I am going to take a month or two and decide which ones I like and see If I can wear them. Usually colognes bother or irritate me. I hope this will not be the case with Creed - but thank you and keep posting

I agree with Allure Homme Sport, La Nuit De L'Homme, Millesime Imperial and Bleecker Street, I get bashed every time I wear Musc Ravageur, one of the most suffocating fragrance ever made! While I agree that MR's dry down is sublime, it takes forever for it to get to that stage.

I buy fragrances to mainly get compliments from. I have to like it plus it has to please other people around me noses. Strange though that even though I have a good amount of popular fragrances, I rarely get compliments with them unless I am really close up on someone. I usually take the many reviewers advice on how much to spray but when I follow their advice to be careful about being heavy on the sprayer, people rarely smell it useless I just put it on(Mainly Top notes) or I spray alot. So I usually spray like 6-8 sprays and it will last me a good 4-5 hours then die down but I always fear overspraying. I wear scentless lotion with them, it helps a slight bit but not much. I bought colognes that are supposed to project well according to reviewers(Thank God...I love them all, money well spent). -I own Dior Homme Intense, YSL La Nuit de L'homme, Fahrenheit(Latest), L'eau D'Issey, Joop Homme(I am careful with this, still testing it, 3 sprays for me), Thallium, Carolina Herrera 212 Men(4-5 sprays this does project when it's hot), Nautica Voyage,Creed Aventus, Millisime Imperiale, 24 Gold, Bond no.9 Bleecker street and Silver factory, V&R Spicebomb, and Mugler Cologne(I have to spray alot of this. I just don't know why I have to spray so much more than what reviewers say. I find it odd that not even my friends and family rarely smell it but I guess it is better than choking people and having someone say it stinks but still........WTF?! Is the air way too dry here. I live in Maryland. We get a mixture of Really hot summers to Rainy spring and fall to Freezing Winters.
If you can smell it on you, others can aswell. As you experiment with different frags, you will find what works for you and what don't. What works for one man, may not work for you, that doesn't mean it's a bad scent, it's just not for you. Some colognes I spray 5-6 times and others 2-3, Jean Paul is 2 sprays on me, but something like Prada Amber, is about 4 maybe 5. So just find what works for you.
Seeing how you like some old school scents like Joop, have you ever tried Quorum? It's a cheapie (very strong). The 1st time wearing it, I sprayed 3 times and someone in another room asked what that smell was lol. Afterward, I used 2 sprays.
Hey Al, why don't you do a Vid about cheapy or Moderate priced designer fragrances that smells like Top Niche fragrnaces. Cause some of us can't afford the Creeds and Tom Fords of the world. Just and Idea

Try 1-2 sprays, if you go more than that it changes the effect of the scent.
