it would mess with me so hard (i am german) to shift with the left hand. also to drive on the left just feels wrong. i can drive manual but just in germany with right hand driving. i am still of the opinion that multi lane roundabouts are stupid and dangerous.
Once you stop being a narrowminded Backpfeifengesicht, you'll understand that just because you're USED TO something, doesn't mean that alternatives don't work. I am german, i moved to the UK 8 years ago with a german license, did my UK license. I told my driving instructor here that i'm german and he needs to pay attention in the first few lessons so i don't accidentally drive into the wrong lane at crossroads etc out of habit (never happened) - that's it. One minor, got my license, sorted. In regards to the gear stick? So far haven't missed a gear and it's in fact more comfortable to drive since i drive one handed (other hand on stick, even in automatics), and steering with my dominant hand (right hand) is much more precise/comfortable. It takes two driving lessons at most to get used to the driving position, and maybe another two to get used to the lane. If "using your left to shift gears" already takes the piss out of you, then you're not as good a driver as you might think you are. The ONLY problem that i encounter regularly are other drivers. Multilane roundabouts work well enough, if people adhere to the rules and more importantly, indicate. The problem here isn't that the roundabouts don't work, it's the fact that people don't use the correct lanes for what they want to do - and don't indicate even though its easy as pie. Driving here isn't harder or easier (or safer/worse) than in germany. It's slightly different, but easy to get the hang of if you're a decent/confident driver. The biggest issue, much like in germany, are other douchebags either tailgating even at or slightly above the speed limit, or not indicating/thinking they own the road. Does that sound familiar, as a german?
This guy has too much of a wreckless demeanour. Calm and humble but dangerous, the UK has smaller roads he needs to learn to adapt to a more controlled style of driving or one day he could end up killing someone. Which would be a pity as he seems like such a nice dude. I get his energy, but he needs to stop driving like he's on the track.
I took a test, actually I just finished and the car I used was shit. The gas peddle was really firm and as soon as you press down it goes and the break pad is loose so I had to find the pressure for that and ran a red light. Is there anything I can do because they didnt speak English and didn’t understand any of my complaints.
Just for study. About that roundabout at 8:05. I watch that one video with Amar from 3 years ago. ua-cam.com/video/GYlw7Bh2eZk/v-deo.html, I interpreted that you can use outer lanes to take the second roundabout exit. At 8:05, I know he was too way out in the outermost lane to make that second exit, but what if he was in the middle lane, can he still make that second exit? is it acceptable? We don't have many roundabouts in my country, so my experience with them are so lacking. Seeing UK's road infrastructure thru your videos seem to be so confusing for me. too many roundabouts @_@
It took me 4 times and my husband 6 tries to eventually pass, I'm sure it won't take you that many tries 😉. Just dust yourself off and work on what the examiner observed you needed to work on
It still baffles me to this day, how many drivers, especially younger US drivers attempting to drive manual, don't understand how you have to let the clutch do its job, when moving off by having the clutch on the bite point with a bit of gas, and not just slowly raise the clutch up with very little gas. Newer manual cars move off a lot easier with the method US drivers are taught to do, and what Simranjeet is doing, and that is dangerous, think about it: If the clutch was to assist you over 60% of the way in moving off and you've little control over the clutch pedal, imagine for example hitting the car in front because of the car jerking off enough forwards to hit the car. I once test drove a Toyota GR Yaris 2020 at the local Toyota dealership, and being a fully licensed driver for almost 2 years now, I could only say that it was scary. Once the clutch reaches the biting point, it has a tendency to spring off/press against your foot, and therefore it's vital to learn good clutch control, no matter the car in question. All in all, I'm not trying to discredit all US drivers that attempt manual, since this issue also happens with a lot of people elsewhere, even in the UK.
@@hungleba3996 I have, I've just never noticed any car I've driven lurching forward at a fast speed just from taking my foot off the clutch, the only thing I can think of that is like what you're describing is when you're almost stalling by not giving it enough gas... maybe that's what you mean
@@fatbroccoli8 Sort of, but it's more like the bite point in newer cars are more refined and more sensitive, therefore clutch control is harder than in older cars.

He’s like my car 😭
Lot’s more practice and a bit more careful planning would certainly help.
Great video as always and my only advice to the instructor is make sure you get yourself a stiff drink.
I want to watch pin driving in America
Please do this Pin! It’s only fair!
Pin probably do fine in America.
@@angelblu27834 ofc he will, I moved to USA from England and driving here is easy with massive roads, you get used to the opposite side pretty fast, the only thing I had trouble with was getting in the wrong side of the car lol
i was wondering where did the fifa video go?
I'm wondering too
Same
What?
me too, I was also wondering what happened why was that posted???😆
What was it
14:43 Ah yes, the infamous hill that most of Pin's students had problems on
Given the fact he barely has any experience in a manual id say hes a natural 🤷♀️
Nah not really stalling 100 times isn't good and manual isn't that hard
@@intence1233 you drove a manual better than that after a couple of hours? That hill start was on point!
@@MageZathara You must be a shit driver if you think hes a natural
@@MageZathara I think most people drive a manual better than that on their second go, remember he said he has driven a manual before
@@MageZathara these modern cars have hill start assist so hill start is easy nowadays, I think when I first drove i selected the wrong gear once and stalled maybe twice. Once you've found the biting point there's no reason to stall
Brave letting him drive
Glad you highlighted his errors.. because when foreigners come try driving in UK... They have no idea of their errors!! Cars. Lorries... Etc
Learners from other countries need to realise that the standard required to pass a test in this country is much higher. They need to forget almost all that they have previously learned in their country of orgin & begin the learning process from scratch.
Either he is not just up to it yet or he’s doing this drive mainly for his youtube channel.. just my two cents.. regardless, the courage to take that road as a first timer manual is 👍
I wouldn’t like to encounter him in the US, let alone in the UK. His driving was just dangerous at times.
I m struggling to stay on my line and not to hit the crub any usefully tips.
I don't know
Can't even count the faults he gives me headache 😁
i love your videos i’m in the usa going for my test in august
I’m so jealous of his skin, it’s looks perfect
Such a battyman 🤦♂️😂
I'm from S.A and passed my driving licence 4 year ago. I know how to drive stick so the car won't stall but I would have trouble on the roundabout. There are so many and so big and have so many exit. Would pass but will have trouble with them.
Passed on April 14th 2022 on the 1st Try🚘
Love how cocky he was... then stalls to begin hahaha
He was cocky? It looked like he took the whole thing as a joke.
My driving instructor is ghosting me 🤨 I supposed to have a lesson on the 13th at 8am, he cancelled it at midnight while I’m sleeping without sending me a text not till I woke up in the morning to get ready and checked my email and saw it last minute. Been trying to request another lesson since but he’s not conforming it nor cancelling my request and ignoring my text massages I’m so stressed maybe I’m overthinking I don’t know what to do 😵💫
Go with a bigger company, my first driving instructor was useless, used to go on errands on during my lesson and told me how his other student crashed into the back of a lorry (he had dual controls ffs)
'ICE' is a good company if you have them in your area and they have a pass guarantee, I was 100% sure I would pass my test when I learnt with them
Passed my driving test with two minor mistakes!!
What's the procedure for American driver to get license in UK, if already have US license for 20 years? Do I need to go to driving school and learn manual stick?
No you can take your test in auto but you won't be legally allowed to drive a manual car if you do that.
If you want to drive manual then yeah you have to learn it and pass a manual driving test
Are there no roundabouts in the US?
In uk u can take you hand of steering wheel? 5:50
You need full control of the vehicle at all times
As long as you maintain good control of the car, it's not a problem
@Paul X wait what, you take your hand off the steering wheel whilst the car is moving ? why?
@Paul X Oh right wih one hand yeah, I do that, did during my dirving test. Thought you meant no hands
On motorway I hold both of hands but in city one hand. It is bad habit but I have like full control of the car.
The "Hooray" scared the crap out of my sleeping pitbull. Btw, the kid drives too fast @@
Just passed my test this morning so watching these for fun now 💀💀
Same 😂😭
@@sherKhan-qq7cy yay congrats!! 😂 have you been on a drive by yourself yet? I traumatised myself driving on my own straight after passing hahaahah
Seems like he is prepared with a box of drivers medic in the back xD
Oh never mind as this the first time I heard of the brand, it's drivers wear which I misstook as first aid kit
Are there only automatic cars in the US or what
Some serious stuff going on here with a lot of work needed to bring him up to test standard. I notice how much he laughs each time a fault occurs even though these are serious faults and could have resulted in damage to the car or accidents happening. Time to get serious and start learning from your mistakes.
Last time he made 21 serious faults.
Next time he’ll make 7 haha
@@narukami6364 We’ll see about that.
Dam I’ve been watching for that long 2019 this year I’m getting my license dam
Goodluck bra got mine in 2019 this channel helped a lot.
What was that fifa vid about ?
damn passing in the us must be a breeze
fr🤣
Where’s fifa vid?
POV: You came to see what he did wrong at the roundabout😀
what was the FiFa video about?
it would mess with me so hard (i am german) to shift with the left hand. also to drive on the left just feels wrong. i can drive manual but just in germany with right hand driving. i am still of the opinion that multi lane roundabouts are stupid and dangerous.
Loads of Americans drive like this, like there's no risk and without a care in the world
I took a test, actually I just finished and the car I used was shit. The gas peddle was really firm and as soon as you press down it goes and the break pad is loose so I had to find the pressure for that and ran a red light. Is there anything I can do because they didnt speak English and didn’t understand any of my complaints.
You should've said before you started if the car was unsafe in your opinion
What part of England are u
Wolverhampton I believe
Dundee
He’s in Wolverhampton
@@ghgfrghfrhgdxvgredghhgvfth1573 Dundee-suuuuure 😂😂😂
I am finally part of the licensed drivers who still watch these videos
yep same here 😂
@DGN Driving School the horrrraayyyyy has done its course, please edit that part out and thank you in advance
Lool be bold if you can’t drive manual just say you can’t drive manual . Instead of putting someone’s life in danger .
i dont think you should be letting him drive on the roads with a manual like this without teaching him first stalled 6 times in the first 2 minutes
I have my test on Wednesday wish me luck!
Good Luck to you, don’t be nervous drive safely and you should be fine
@@Esejanta Update I failed (oops)
It took me 4 times and my husband 6 tries to eventually pass, I'm sure it won't take you that many tries 😉. Just dust yourself off and work on what the examiner observed you needed to work on
It still baffles me to this day, how many drivers, especially younger US drivers attempting to drive manual, don't understand how you have to let the clutch do its job, when moving off by having the clutch on the bite point with a bit of gas, and not just slowly raise the clutch up with very little gas. Newer manual cars move off a lot easier with the method US drivers are taught to do, and what Simranjeet is doing, and that is dangerous, think about it:
If the clutch was to assist you over 60% of the way in moving off and you've little control over the clutch pedal, imagine for example hitting the car in front because of the car jerking off enough forwards to hit the car.
All in all, I'm not trying to discredit all US drivers that attempt manual, since this issue also happens with a lot of people elsewhere, even in the UK.
i doesnt have the spring off tendency in my car it feels completely linear in terms of pedal feel and so do all other cars i have driven.
I've never felt a clutch doing that
@@fatbroccoli8 Then you've not tried newer manual cars.
He’s FINEE

Please stop that thing at the beginning where you repeat the clip like 3 times, it's just odd.
He is too cocky He needs to learn hand positioning on thw wheel too. Useless driver also I think he drives way too fast
