From personal experience, I feel as if I have more strength, stamina, and willpower when I'm wearing it. Placebo? Possibly, but wearing it makes me feel good, and honestly I think that’s all that matters.
Placebo affect is exactly that. I wear my father's wedding ring and rub it when frightened, it calms me somehow makes me feel he's by my side saying everything is ok. If something brings you strength and/or peace then do what works for you
@@britvic4334 I agree, somewhat. But to imply something is placebo is also to imply that the “boon” it gives us, so to speak, is only real in imagination. Which I like to think that certain spiritual jewelry, like Mjolnir, help us connect to the energies and spirits of the universe that’re all around us, and that wearing them is not purely some trick of the mind. I don’t what your thoughts about that are. Curious to know other people’s perspectives.
@OdinsOutlaw for me placebo can mean it's all in your head, you're giving it the power to support you if that makes sense? Sorry it probably doesn't and I wasn't being belittling saying it's a placebo at all. I believe objects even scents can bring on so much strength and emotions it's actually fascinating what they can do for each individual. If someone is intent on it being BS then they will completely close off to it no matter what but when we're open minded and have an interest/passion for something like this it has deeper meaning. Like my father's ring, it's safety &love when I need it. I feel he's holding my hand through life, that's drives me on in a more positive way. Plus it makes me smile. ☺️
Lmaooo wassup outlaw Personally I’ve been wearing one for several years on the daily, but there’s times where I’m out the shower and in a rush and forget it at home, I always feel off when I forget it. I practically feel safer when wearing it.
@@britvic4334 I don't feel belittled at all, don't worry, was just curious on your opinion, and felt the need to explain mine :p And yes that makes a lot of sense, though I do disagree and that is okay. I think the human mind certainly has amazing capabilities, and we can do things with our minds that most people probably wouldn't be able to believe. However at the same time, I do believe the human mind can't do everything and that some of these magical/spiritual jewelries, whether it be a Mjolnir, or a Crucifix, help us tap into forces and energies outside ourselves in order to invoke certain spiritual boons upon ourselves.
Good morning from Texas, USA First let me say I love your channel. After my husband past, I was in a rather fragile state emotionally. I had an experience where I believe I crossed over and visited with my husband, I was told it was a heart attack. My daughter knowing how much I love the beliefs of the Scandinavian people of old, gave me a Freya statue and Thor hammer necklace. Once I put that on things began to change dramatically for the better. My zest for life grew, boldness insued, I learned to ride a harley, met some great friends. Now I travel the states riding a motorcycle enjoying life and friends. Given my age some might call it crazy, I call it a second life. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thats great to hear. To me, whether the pendants are historically accurate representations is irrelevant to me, i think it is much more importent the Spirit and honesty out behind it. Good luck further in your healing.
When I Was a young Man in my 20s,the only place to get a Thor's Hammer pendant was at a local tobacco shop. Cast pewter. I wore it for over 14 years. Finally I got a more authentic silver one at a Ren Faire. Have had and lost many over the years. Gave my 2 nephews one each at coming of age. I make them know. All out of iron. My faith has taken me to my craft. Blessed by the Gods with a great life.
My father in law, and chieftain gifted my mjolnir when he determined that I deserved it. And I haven't taken it off in about 6 years, except to change the leather/chain. When I put it around my neck, it felt both physically and emotionally heavy. Your story is very inspiring, I'm so glad the gods guided you through that tough time. Hail to you man. And hail to the gods.
I have 2 mjolnir that I switch in-between. One I got on a wolf chain from Sweden and the other I got made from Utah. All of which both mjolnir and chain are 925 sterling silver. I notice that when I'm not wear my mjonir that my energy is low and things in my life begin to spiral out of control. I've had many low points where I thought of dying. I feel my spiritual belief is what keeps me going. I always find a way to overcome any obstacles that life has thrown at me. I bury emotion and push forward. I keep my problems quiet because I know my family worries about me. I enjoy your channel very much. It helps me out a lot and seeing your journey makes me happy about my own personal journey. Keep it up man.
Since wearing my mjolnor for last two years, I have not been sick. I never came down with that disease, and actually been more focused. Thank you for sharing your story. Stay strong.
So glad to hear you're feeling much better now. Sympathetic magic can be a powerful thing. I've used it myself many times, but even I forget on occasion and when I do forget, life just doesn't go as well. That being said, I have found this video to be much needed by me right now so thank you for this.
Your explanation really makes sense to me, and I will have to check out your merchandise. Authenticity is much needed on these subjects, and your videos help more find authentic jewelry in contrast to the knock offs.
Glad you're in better shape and spirits. I've been in a similar boat the last year, a long recovery from a certain illness followed up by a mishap with right rotator cuff that's finally manageable. Not to mention the mentality of it all, so definitely feel you. It is quite wearing... on a positive note, you carried yourself quite well as it wasn't noticeable.
I watch your videos every day! When I'm home relaxing, working out, cleaning, I just love how much I've learned from you! Can't wait to order my hammer from your shop. I built my awesome Tiny House to look like a Viking style home and have had a blast decorating it. I'd love to see a video on Viking homes or decor ideas. Hard to find such honest facts (and rants) about Viking history and culture. Please don't stop making these vids man, you've had a real and positive impact on my life and I'm sure many others. Thanks for the knowledge and inspiration!
I love the fact that you put the reference to the original next to each different model of mjolnir in the shop. I struggled so much to find one that feels somewhat legitimate, there's so much crap online!
I have been wearing my Mjolnir for 10 years now, it was handmade by a friend who made cast sterling silver jewelry. It is heavy, but I love it. I don't feel the same if I take it off. I definitely think it gives me energy and a feeling of protection. It is my most worn talisman next to my Freyja pendant.
I love your interpretation, and it makes a lot of sense to me! Very happy that you're feeling better. I have owned and worn the Rømersdal mjölnir (in 925 grade silver) for a few years now, and I do feel an energetic shift when I wear it for a few consecutive days; I tend to wear it more often when I need to feel more grounded or focussed.
I sadly don't have a Mjolnir pendant since the belief is not so much followed in the country I live in, however I do have a tattoo on my right leg that I got a couple of years ago, at the time I had it done it was with intention aligning with the symbolism you spoke of here and imo it helped me greatly with my health problems, recently I too had a serious heart event and the doctors happened to operate from that right leg that Mjolnir is on, it's been a very rough time since but this video just reminded me of my own beliefs and the meaning of the tattoo and why I had it done in the first place, thank you for this profound gift and for all the hard work you do with all of your videos blessings upon you!
If you would like a Mjolnir pendant, you can wear it under your clothes. Mine is usually covered up. It's for me to remember and reflect on, not as a signal to others.
We had no idea you were so sick. Thank goodness you were healed. I wear a longship most of the time. It was made in Scotland. I have several styles. I notice I write more clearly when I wear them. Being an author that is important to me, though I realize it's not the same amulet.
I loved this one and I just ordered one of your hammers! I can’t wait to get it. I love that it comes from Norway and the history of it and the fact that it works for you. I get a lot out of your channel I learn a lot about my own heritage from Norway. Since my grandfather came to United States as a child a lot of the back history of Norse history was not really discussed, except about the ship industry which is what my great grandfather did. He was involved in some of the exploration ships back in the 1800s including the Gjoa. Interesting stuff there. Eventually they got tired of Norway, they were living up Tromso, arctic circle. Very cold…then they came to the United States first to Alaska and then to California. I’m now in Wisconsin and there’s a lot of Scandinavian history especially in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota as you know.
@@norsemagicandbeliefs8134 Thanks! My grandpa didn't remember much about Norway, he was 6 when they immigrated. They came through Ellis Island, and spent a couple years in Alaska, canning salmon.. there were no schools there so they ended up moving to San Francisco area. My grandfather really disliked fish .. lol I think he ate it all the time as a kid and was sick of it. Meat and potatoes for him. Looking forward to getting my Thor Hammer! Love your content.
Whether it's placebo or not it a tangible effect, it just goes to show the power of the mind with the correct focus, I too feel grounded and empowered when wearing mine
The end around 9:20, it spoke to me. Last year (authmb) I lost a mjölnir necklace, and I never had money to replace it. Bought 2 weeks ago, fashioned after an archeoligcal found in Ödeshög, Sweden. It... just feels better, I kinda had an odd feeling throughout this year. Now it just feels better.
I’ve been debating getting the hammer. I’m not really a jewelry guy but I love what it reps. It resonates with me the more I learn…. I’m glad you are healing up man! 💪🏻
You seriously have the best channel on UA-cam about this stuff thank you so much I am very greatful for your content and the time you take to make videos for us
Liked it so much I had to watch it twice. I know what you mean about the effects of wearing it. My Thor's hammer is the first thing I ever got when I started learning/practicing Norse paganism. But I also stopped wearing for a while to, and that was a shitty time. What was affected the most was my mental health, in the year and a half that I had stopped wearing it, I had been admitted in the mental hospital, not once, but twice. When I got out the second time, I decided to pick up were I left off and start studying again, and also wearing mjolnir again. Ever since then, everything's changed, and gladly for the better. My mental and physical health are great now. Plus watching this video maded me love my pendant even more. Understanding the significance and meaning of it, I love that my mjolnir isn't a Chinese cringe one, or even a beautifully crafted silver or gold one. Mine was hand forged in iron from a blacksmith in Texas. And instead of getting a nice chain or a leather cord, I got a small piece of steel chain from home Depot. I figured the symbolism of an iron Thor's hammer on a steel chain would be... Empowering. I was right. I will never take this off again. Ever.
Just bought my first of many Mjolnir necklaces. I'll be buying some from you pretty soon here at the end of the month! I definitely have begun a new chapter in my life by learning more about my roots and your channel has been a source of knowledge and inspiration.
This is exactly what I need right now. I’ve got the same disease right now and also heart symptoms. Hearing your story is inspiring and empowering and I’ll try do get my hands on a Mjolnir or a Rock for me too. Currently all I can do is laying on my bed and I think some magic would be a great thing for me now. Thank you very much.
I absolutely LOATHE 99.999% of what passes for "Viking" jewelry online. They put " Ægishjálmur" and "Vegvisir" of everything. They put Odin's Ravens on Thor's hammer. They pick random Runes and just slap them on something and call it "Viking". I could go on, but you know what I am saying. A long time ago I started seeking out real craftsmen for my jewelry. For instance, my hammer is a reproduction of a find from Denmark by an amazing craftsman in England who does it with the Lost Wax method like in the old times. I also have other stuff from him. My "weapons" I got the same way. I have 2 amazing Axes from Ukraine, a Seax from the Czech Republic and my Sword is from Sweden. ALL hand made by people who are either Pagan themselves or are students of history. I am not laying this all out to say "hey, look at me. I got all this stuff". I am saying it because i feel we must start promoting honest craftsmen who's heart are in the work. Most of that stuff to be found online sends out the wrong message. It's pathetic and it waters down the seriousness of the public face of our belief structure. I really can't wait for the Viking craze to blow over and the rest of us can get back to being actual Pagans and living life as it makes sense to us under they eyes of the Gods and our ancestors, without all the woke crap and corporate exploitation.
To be fair, I bought mine on Amazon and it’s sort of Celtic by design. I don’t have a lot of money, but I’m Scandinavian and want to embrace that so it was all I could do
I have had very similar experiences since i have been wearing my mjolnir, i have also noticed much more discipline and mental fortitude. I didnt realize it until you shared your story and it got me thinking... i love how sympathetic magic affects our subconscious in such a subtle way thats we oftentimes are not aware anything is happening at all, which is exactly the point.
I just purchased my pendant from your store and I absolutely adore it. It was a gift for myself for my 49th birthday and I to am wearing it to grow strong and brighten my life force after health issues and pain and suffering in my body. I will be stronger and make it to 50. Thank you for this video and the excellent source of my beloved pendant. I welcome the life force of Thor into my heart and I am ready to break free of this stagnant energy that is holding me back.
In almost all (pre/proto-) historic cultures amulets were worn to protect throat and chest for the obvious reason: it's our most vulnerable and vital zone together with our head. That's why Roman coins were used as pendants in the late Germanic Iron Age: they had the face of a 'god' (Caesar) on it after all and were round like later early medieval roundshields. That's probably why early coins and coin pendants (bracteates) were known as 'skildlings' by the West Germanic tribes (literally 'little shields', hence the names 'Schilling' for pennies in Germany, shilling in Britain and schelling coins in the Netherlands). Amulets protect and increase your strength. I carved my Mjölnir pendant from a piece of (old) spermwhale tooth about ten years ago for those reasons. Like Þór, I am a Guardian, a father and a keeper of peace with responsibility for my family. I dedicated my pendant with the proper gáldrs to him and the lives I want to protect. The runes are cognate with the formula I used. My Mjölnir reminds me every day who I am, where I come from and what my duties are. I asked Þór's blessing and aid for this task. The pendant is also a witness to this bond. That's why it never comes off. It's part of me now and shows who I am. That said: glad you came out of Covid man, people still underestimate this disease.
Commenting on a 2 years old video seems silly but I just discovered your channel and am going through your library. As far as Mjolnir goes I have one made from silver based on a Danish archaeological find and I swear by its magic. I'm struggling with anxiety, had few panic attacks and fovias that hindered my enjoyment of life. Since I've started wearing mjolnir exclusively and invoking it's power my mental health greatly improved.
Glad you're feeling better. In Afghanistan, I carried gemstones (carnelian, tiger's eye, rose quartz) in the small pouch behind my kevlar body armour plate to help me be courageous, an effective leader and to carry the love and protection of my wife and family. I believe they helped me. Reality and activity follows thought and feelings, so I like to think I manifested courage, fortitude and good fortune. I believe the same principle applies to the wearing of Mjolnir pendants.
I see the wearing of Mjolnir as reminder of Norse beliefs, culture, and history. It could be compared to the Jewish Yamaka cap which is worn as a daily reminder of their faith. I have a silver Mjolnir from your shop and in wearing it I find myself thinking of all things Norse and I begin to crave for more information to the point where I watch more of your videos or read in one of your suggested books. It is a good thing and am glad I wear it.
I completely agree with you . It’s not a placebo- but it reminds us and I always will look at mine around my kneck when I start to feel weak (mentally or physically) it gives me a Little push or pat on the back reminding me who I am. The act of it reminding me is magic in its own way . Take care brother and be safe !
Yes I have a Mjolnir i have not worn it for a very long time can't say if it helped with my health as I was fine all the years that I worn it, but now I have health problems maybe its time I put it back on. I have been thinking so much over the last few months to make a wooden one I know it might sound strange but when I make things put time and energy into them I feel they have something special about them.
Considering most Pagans are very animistic. i believe it's very likely mjolnir and similar pendants may have begun as wood carved items and as time went and wealths, techniques and resources changed items were mostly golds, silvers, iron etc. We can't really find many of these things since how well wood breaks down over time. I believe when it comes to pendants based from animism, made by yourself or someone close is always best, next is the place he has linked us to where they are made from and by the people closer to our origins last option is always that cheap crazy ebay stuff he showed. Personally I'd never wear something for meaning if it's made in China. Wooden jewellery is stunning, I made homemade wood finger rings with a drill as a lathe and a dremel to shape them. Simple yet it works. I hope your health improves.
The Celtic torc has a similar effect. Good point about the materials - some stamped piece of stainless steel doesn't have the same power as something hand crafted from silver, gold, or bronze. Even better if you can learn to create these kinds of jewelry yourself.
I mentioned this in a comment earlier, I guess I have a sort of “cringe” mjolnir that’s Celtic by design. I’m Scandinavian and can’t really afford an expensive one at the moment so it’s all I could do. It’s not the design or price, it’s how you wear it and whether it’s meaningful or not to pagan culture.
I'm glad you're selling the more authentic stuff that would have realistically been worn by our ancestors. Mine are either replicas of historical ones or are very simple.
When I converted my first was carved from cedar by my hand. I’ve recently bought a hand forged steel pendant with a copper ring to hang it. It was wrapped in parchment and jute and came in what looked to be a handmade box.
Great that You store the ones replaced from our actual findings in the nordic countries. I wear one that are a replica from a Mjölnir found on Gotland. Yours, that You show is very much similar to the ones found around Uppsala/Mälardalen. Very nice and powerful, it is definitely like You say, it feel great to wear a Mjölnir 💪. I see it as a symbol of progress as well, the hammer get things done, as symbol for human creation. I like your way of symbolic value as well. I will look into your shop 🙌
Glad to hear you got your strength back brother. I wear a small silver hammer and I haven't taken it off in a few years more than a hand full of times. It just feels right
Now I know I am not crazy hahaha I felt the power of mjölnir and the subsequent lack of energy when not wearing it but I assumed it was the placebo effect. Especially since I had made it myself. It might not be overtly fancy but I made it in honour of our Old faith so I think at least to me and the forebears that makes it special. Thanks for the great video man as always you speak with pertinence and your words carry weight
Dude I absolutely love watching your videos they really help me on my spiritual journey as a heathen. Thank you very much for taking time out of your day to make these videos.
Better late than never; this video just showed up for me. Thank you for sharing your experience. For me it's insightful and inspiring. 👍 & Best wishes 💖
I'm glad to.hear your story. I myself had a real rough recovery - not meat as bad as yours from the sound of it - but I took up hiking. It's not the running that I loved to drive, but I've seen and connected more with nature on the trails. Some beautiful trails that I never knew about that were actually local.
Great video! I also love how your Mjolnir amulets have the little picture showing the archaeological find they were based off - so interesting and I wished more people did that
I like you was born with a hole in my heart & now have heart issues. I paused the video half way through an went to put my Mjolnir on as Ive not been wearing it for a while. Great video brother as always thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Greetings from Chile...Man, I started to wear one without knowing all this and felt all those effects you are talking about (strenght, can do attitude and more) even though mine was not acurate like the ones you've shown here, I need one of those now.
I'm glad your on the mend. Yes I do, I agree with you the amulet does help & heal. Cardiomyopathy is serious trust in what your body tells you; Hawthorn tea will help you.. I have several autoimmune disorders & I know it gives me added immunity to do what I need to do. I have heart issues too I'm pretty darn sure there is a hereditary factor. Physically I think we're built for power & strength not longevity lol unless we eat herring all day! For me too scribing the runes on self with scents builds a shield as well. Thank you for sharing !
I have a heart condition as well. My valves have calcified and I had open heart surgery in 2017 to repair one of them. I am terrified of catching the vid so I wear my pentagram for protection. But I love the direct connection between the mjolnir and the heart. I am an Appalachia Pagan but just learning Norse beliefs. Thank you for this! Much appreciated.
Most of us from the Appalachian mountains are from the Isles and Scandinavia. I researched my family tree via paper trails and then took the DNA test which matched my documents. I was born in the mountains of Southeastern KY. 🙂
I started wearing my hammer a couple years after my son began wearing his. He mentioned it made him feel more confident and aware. I didn't really understand until i got mine. But 100%, definate boost in confidence and awareness. Great video!
Thanks for the information! I've been wearing my Mjolnir constantly the last months because it makes me feel more confident and stronger. I bought one that was made according to a historical find and like it very much.
I bought a chain that I liked online that has Thor's goats that hold the ring but I got a silver Thor's hammer from Grimfrost. It depicts Jormungandr on it, which is a very important symbol to me. I also have a tattoo of the battle between Thor and the world serpent. It reminds me that all things have an end, but there is also a rebirth. Ragnarok still remains one of the most important stories for me.
I bought their bronze Jormungandr one, just found a leather necklace on amazon for it, I liked the jormungandr inclusion on it as a reminder to stand against chaos and evil to protect, even if it kills you.
My grandfather came from Norway to Australia as a young lad with his family and had been raised in the old Norse ways. I was fortunate to have his guidance as a child. My father gave me a Mjolner when I was married and I still wear it all the time. My Pop told me that thunder was Thor banging his hammer on a great rock up in the heavens. I totally believed it as a child, but was distracted away from my ancestor's beliefs during a Christian upbringing by my parents, who thought the old ways were 'evil' and 'ignorant'. When I do wear my Mjolner to gym, or into any of life's 'battles', I believe it makes me stronger, more focused and more likely to succeed. I had no idea about the connection between the Mjolner and the heart rhythms, but it certainly makes perfect sense. I am a naturally spiritual and magical person and I was drawn to these beliefs very early on in life. I always feel stronger and more authentic when I wear my Mjolner.
Hey, great video. As I'm listening to you're thoughts on mjolnir. Regarding life force and the beating of the heart in relation to the pounding of a hammer. I am thinking about how when a necklace is worn. It actually beats slightly against the chest as the wearer walks, runs or moves around.
4:59 Unbelievable how many old Norse language is preserved in the modern world. I’m Dutch 🇳🇱 and our word for grinding is “MALEN” . The windmills were the Netherlands is renowned for , used to Grind wheat are called “MOLENS” . The more I learn from the Viking age, the more influences of them I discover on my modern day culture and language.
I love my Mjölnir pendant and wear it daily. It really does feel good wearing it! Mine is a handmade silver Mjölnir inspired by the one found worn by the Viking warrior discovered at Repton.
i have wanted a Mjölnir for a long time. and i was looking to buy a good one. but then i got the one i have now from my father in law. idk where he bought it from, i do think its stainless steel. but since its my first one i do treasure it a lot. and almost 2 moths ago my father in law passed away and now i treasure it even more. but i will still buy another one soon (maybe when u will be shipping to Belgium). and yes i do feel better when i wear it, more alive and confident for some reason.
I have a chain necklace with 2 skeggox heads with a bear paw in the center. I took some cordage and wrapped around the axe heads, along the bottom and down through a Mjolnir pendant so it hangs below. I'm with you on the sympathetic magic thing. Whenever I make offerings I place my necklace over the stones, I definitely feel strength and vitality, also a sense of respect and gratitude to the gods and the forest where I make my offerings. Thank you for your videos on bluts, by the way. I appreciate the effort you put into giving us actual historical accounts. Itd be cool to see what you do for physical training. I'm into physical fitness, myself.
Thank you for sharing this. Ive been into martial arts my whole life and its so amazing to see that all warriors and tribes were connected thru discovering the universe, the earth and who we are, life force. I recently got a very nice hammer from Northlord in Greece. It was made bu their blacksmith. I will have a look at your shop aswell. Thank you for all the vodeos. As i’m new to this it is a great source of information. Greetings from the Netherlands( I actually live in Wijk bij Duurstede, the old Dorestad) Vikings did alot of trading here as it was a very important junktion of 2 major tivers (Rijn and Lek)
This was my personal theory only, so far, about Mjolnir being a cognate of an old Croatian word for grinding. Northern Croatian dialect has it almost word for word, with identical meaning. Hence my idea of a possible explanation. Seeing you translate it in old norse having the same meaning is just amazing. Etymology in Croatian being Mljeti = To grind (Infinitive) Mlinar - The person/thing that grinds (masculine) Melnar - Same thing in Kajkavian dialect We have much more in common historically than modern history would let Us assume. ;)
I had a reaction to the Vax for the disease that cannot be named. The ER I went to thought it was pericarditis but all the tests came back negative so they eventually thought it was muscles skeletal inflammation so I’m still dealing with that, been taking strong anti inflammation meds so I’m still trying to get over it, glad your doing better yo!
It's important to mention the west germanic Anglo-Saxons also wore hammer pendants based on finds in Kent and one from Frisia, it's hard to tell what they actually called it, but an Old English form may have been *Meolnor? I wonder if the earlier tribes wore Meldunjaz pendants made of bone or antler, explaining the scarcity of surviving examples.
I have a few, some I made. I cut one from amazonite and am working on one made of Baltic amber. I feel empowered, am never sick and always feel as I have direction and know the path I should take. Others I have are the real thing purchased along time ago, I keep one of them at my bedside for protection.
I found myself with renewed confidence after wearing my wooden Mjonir daily (it was hand carved in Bulgaria.) wanna get one of the ones on your shop and try those out. Though I’m somewhat allergic to metal anything metal seems to cause irritation on my skin. Which is why I have only worn a wooden one lately. Though still wanna get that silver one. Try it out , and if I don’t wear it at least I’ll have something more authethic. Now back to my personal experience I felt like I had a renewed sense of creativity, and desire to get strong got back into fitness shortly after. That very well could be placebo I guess. Though I will say there was improvement , beyond the gym I got back into writing, and researching and learning. Greatly improved my mood and behavior I’d say. I haven’t worn mjonir as often the past few days (still daily but I’ve taken it off for a good portion of the day most days, but this video inspired me to grab my mjonir and put it on yet again)
Thanks for the great content. Hoppas du mår bättre och önskar dig det bästa för framtiden. Ja, jag har en hammare halsband också. Hilsninger fra Sverige 😊
I was also born with a hole in my heart, it eventually healed itself. I wear my replica mjolnir pendant daily without removing it, including showers, sleeping, etc.. for me I use it as motivation to keep moving forward, and only looking back when I need to use it positively. Your channel is so far my favorite on UA-cam. Thank you for that, and congratulations on the uplifting story on your life.
I’ve been wearing a bloodstone necklace this week and my energy level has been way higher. I didn’t even sleep one night and still had lots of energy the next day. I’ve noticed a sudden increase in my performance at the gym as well 💪🏻😜
I have a tattoo of Mjölnir and a silver Mjölnir pendant from Grimfrost. Last year i was lucky to find a 22 karat gold earring outside a cemetery. I've also notice that when ever I wear my Mjölnir pendant when we have thunderstorms in the UK is that I never get struck by lightning even though I wear gold and silver jewellery.
Thank you for sharing your personal story of your faith and what you know. You experience is sacred to you and you are keep by your faith and interaction with life. I had almost died when I was 4 and had a very important dream. These symbols and connections to life give us strength. Live well.
I've read an article saying that the first archeological Hammers were found around the Netherlands and are situated in an older time than the Viking age. Maybe it was used in a more extended area than just Scandinavia.
From what I have learned, the oldest Mjolnir (worn as a pendant/necklace) to date comes from Immenstedt in Germany dated 8th or 9th century. I'll copy/paste the portion of the article from Roter Geysir's archaeological site. Sven is a practicing Heathen from Germany who researches these things. If you have info on an earlier hammer, please share it. I'd love to learn more. "Finally, there is another remarkable Thor’s hammer find from Dithmarschen on the German North Sea coast, which today is almost completely forgotten. During the excavation of the Immenstedt burial site in 1880, a bronze Thor’s hammer (Fig. 9) was found strung along a chain of coloured pearls. It was located in the neck area of a female inhumation grave in tumulus 14 P. The extremely fragile find was carefully excavated along with the surrounding soil, but unfortunately it largely disintegrated into dust because it was touched too early during the conservation process. The fact that this extraordinary find was recorded at all is a great stroke of luck, because the responsible excavation team headed by Johanna Mestorf did groundbreaking work for their time. Thus the original form and size of the Thors hammer was drawn in advance and even the coloured pearls were pulled back onto a string in the correct order. Mestorf herself has explicitly guaranteed the correctness of this work.26 Under the excavation conditions customary at that time, the Thor’s hammer of Immenstedt would otherwise certainly have been destroyed during the excavation process without any chance of being preserved for posterity. Thanks to the diligence of the excavators, however, it has been documented together with its context in a way that is still verifiable today. And this context is quite astonishing, because the burial is dated to the 8th or early 9th century27 and shows without any doubt that the Thor’s hammer was worn around the neck as a pendant. Thus, the Thor’s hammer of Immenstedt is nothing less than the oldest evidence for these pendants worn as a necklace ever found. At the same time, it is also the oldest Thor’s hammer with the “classical” short handle, which is typical for Denmark and Sweden; only that this specimen from Northern Germany is several generations older than comparable pieces from the north. Furthermore, there is no evidence that the deceased could have emigrated from Scandinavia to Immenstedt. On the contrary: the south-north orientation of the burial (with the head in the south and the feet in the north) clearly points to the Old Saxons, for whom this burial practice is virtually a defining part of their identity. The Thor’s hammer of Immenstedt is thus undoubtedly one of the most important key finds for this early period even if there are no other comparable finds with a similar dating so far."
@@HroduuulfSonOfHrodger very useful information. Unluckily I don't remember where I have read what I have said in my previous comment. But I had the idea that maybe the using of those kind of pendants was a practice that exceeded the Scandinavian territories. Thank you for your feedback.
That's a beautiful interpretation of the meaning. Thanks for sharing. As a jewelry maker myself, I totally believe that necklaces can be like spells. When we put them on with intention, they work every time we notice them with shifting our thinking towards our intentions, and that's the beginning of healing, and many other kinds of personal development too. Very powerful.
Oh wow. Love ur "testimonial" lol. Jokes aside, it's a beautiful thing to hear someone get back in touch with what they know is right and real. I'm honestly starting to believe that psychosomatic outcomes are or can be used by certain powers at certain times to initiate healing in those that believe, and psychosomatic is just a scientific term used to describe this phenomenon in a more secular way. All the best to u and urs, friend.
I made mine from brass and I have also been going through some tough times and I can remember the other day reaching for it on my chest and it not being there and a feeling of “ahhhh no wonder I feel like shit” lol so yes I’m with you on this. I also recommend making your own if you have the ability to do so
Some young kids I helped out made mine out of steel at their local high school it may not be made from the proper material, but I'm still wearing mine after 10 years
I got mjölnir as my first tattoo, back in early 2020, and since then I feel incredibly confident and strong when I look at it. Can't say that it has been something that changed my life but every now and then I look at it and feel an energy going through my body that will help me get through my obstacles. Having faith in yourself is what matters, never forget that!
Lmaooo wassup outlaw
Personally I’ve been wearing one for several years on the daily, but there’s times where I’m out the shower and in a rush and forget it at home, I always feel off when I forget it.
Good morning from Texas, USA
First let me say I love your channel.
Dis you have to sleep with him as a man does with a woman before you earned it from him?
I sadly don't have a Mjolnir pendant since the belief is not so much followed in the country I live in, however I do have a tattoo on my right leg that I got a couple of years ago, at the time I had it done it was with intention aligning with the symbolism you spoke of here and imo it helped me greatly with my health problems, recently I too had a serious heart event and the doctors happened to operate from that right leg that Mjolnir is on, it's been a very rough time since but this video just reminded me of my own beliefs and the meaning of the tattoo and why I had it done in the first place, thank you for this profound gift and for all the hard work you do with all of your videos
blessings upon you!
If you would like a Mjolnir pendant, you can wear it under your clothes. Mine is usually covered up. It's for me to remember and reflect on, not as a signal to others.
Happy to hear you made it through a dark time in your life! Your videos have always given me food for thought
We had no idea you were so sick. Thank goodness you were healed.
I wear a longship most of the time. It was made in Scotland. I have several styles. I notice I write more clearly when I wear them. Being an author that is important to me, though I realize it's not the same amulet.
Thank you for sharing your personal story about illness and your childhood. That made all the difference for me.
On the way! Thats some fun family history!
I don’t have a mjolnir pendant yet, but I personally feel like my pentacle amulet gives me similar boosts so I support this theory wholeheartedly
I wear both. Plus a triquetra.
Same. Don’t necessarily believe in the pagan stuff. But, I was gifted with a Mjölnir by both a fellow German and my ancestry.
I’ve been debating getting the hammer. I’m not really a jewelry guy but I love what it reps. It resonates with me the more I learn…. I’m glad you are healing up man! 💪🏻
You seriously have the best channel on UA-cam about this stuff thank you so much I am very greatful for your content and the time you take to make videos for us
Hello from Canada.
I have just found your channel and love it...Thank you so much for taking the time to give us the awesome information.
I needed this video. Thank you brother
I really feel connected to what your saying in your videos , thank you, you open my mind up to these ideas
Mine is now 45 years old ...a gift from my dad ,wearing it all these years and feel as " naked " without it .
Your interpretation is great !
I so very much appreciate you sharing this!
I know I'm a few months behind in the watching...
But I always gain so much from your videos!
I don’t have a lot of money, but I’m Scandinavian and want to embrace that so it was all I could do
Yikes.
I agree with you completely, although I will point out an original mjölnir from Skåne had [presumably] Óðins ravens on it.
Nice to see you playing in Norge. Glad you feel better. The world needs you!
Great vid. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad to hear things are going well now. All the very best to you.
I am hoping the same for me brother
Arith Härger msde a video some year or so, about the possible connection between the mjölnir and the doubleheaded axe of the egeans/minoans
It’s not a placebo- but it reminds us and I always will look at mine around my kneck when I start to feel weak (mentally or physically) it gives me a
Little push or pat on the back reminding me who I am.
Very well said. Couldn't agree more.
I made one out of ox bones
I will look into your shop 🙌
cool story! Skönt att du är på benen och att allt går åt rätt håll för dig! Tack för en bra kanal!
Love your channel and shop. Keep kicking ass!Just ordered my Mjölnir . Thank you !
Got it. On the way!
Thank you so much brother, super excited. Cheers !!!
I'm glad to.hear your story. I myself had a real rough recovery - not meat as bad as yours from the sound of it - but I took up hiking. It's not the running that I loved to drive, but I've seen and connected more with nature on the trails. Some beautiful trails that I never knew about that were actually local.
Thank you for sharing your experiences
I really love your interpretation as well thanks for sharing
I will definitely check out your shop
I bought a chain that I liked online that has Thor's goats that hold the ring but I got a silver Thor's hammer from Grimfrost. It depicts Jormungandr on it, which is a very important symbol to me. I also have a tattoo of the battle between Thor and the world serpent. It reminds me that all things have an end, but there is also a rebirth. Ragnarok still remains one of the most important stories for me.
see grimfrost is my go to cus they seem most reputable
I bought their bronze Jormungandr one, just found a leather necklace on amazon for it, I liked the jormungandr inclusion on it as a reminder to stand against chaos and evil to protect, even if it kills you.
I've got the same silver Thors hammer as well as a Loki pendant with garnets from grimfrost
I'm new on watching you but i absolutely love you . You have some very interesting subjects .
I finally decided to order a Mjolnir necklace from your store and I'm very happy with the quality!
I have Tetralogy of Fallot.. so I completely understand.. i have always felt Thor watches over my heart ever since I was little.
Great video I myself wear an axe of Perun never taking it off too, loved your story.
Etymology in Croatian being
Mljeti = To grind (Infinitive)
Mlinar - The person/thing that grinds (masculine)
Melnar - Same thing in Kajkavian dialect
We have much more in common historically than modern history would let Us assume.
Thank you for your honesty. Keep that positive attitude. 😁
I got my Mjolnir necklace from your shop, sir, and it serves me well. Great video.
Awesome channel, baie dankie!!!!
The body can do incredible things! Never believe that anything is incurable or chronic because it isn't.
i still have my own silver Mjolnir chain since decades ago
i ll never take it off
and trust No one who tells you to do so
⚡⚒⚡
Very glad that you're feeling better, and got through COVID. I do have my Mjolnir. I do feel the power.
I’ve got a bronze one I’ve worn across three states. Life has been good since I started wearing it.
Thanks for sharing your stories, very powerful
Thank you for sharing your story. It inspires me to nit give up!!
Greetings from Deutschland! I just ordered my first my mjölnir from your shop!
In regards to your new shop items: THANK YOU!!! I can't wait to order some LEGIT stuff!!! 🐺✌🤘
