Ok, naysayers, I worked with a beautiful woman who married her HS boyfriend at a relatively young age. They didn't get on well together and divorced about a year in. They went about their lives and within 18 months they were married again and now have 3 beautiful children and are VERY happy. Sometimes you have to physically see/feel what you lost to really appreciate it.
You know Maya, you have a really good head on your shoulders. Extremely self-aware and well-spoken. After a few videos I came away not thinking of you as a label but as a human being. it has changed my thoughts quite a bit. I can relate to your human-ness.
This is not my usual type of channel I watch here.., usually Motorbikes, RVs and Travel, but somehow stumbled on one of your videos and was fascinated, so subscribed. I have been watching several more of them since and enjoy them as a 67 year old divorced and retired man enjoying life to the full.
You are an extremely beautiful woman (with a sexy voice) and a very sensible head on your shoulders that you know how to use.

I can relate to this so much! My husband ans I broke up once after being together for a few years but we came together and now we've been together 18 years in total and never been happier. The relationship is now so much better and as you said, it's all about communicating and appreciating what we have. I'm happy you guys found back to each other. I have had bad breakups, my two biggest loves felt as if death happened. Not eating and starving myself. Crying all the time. Not wanting to do anything and laying down all times. Miserable. Never recovering. No one seems to understand unless you have had it happened.

Failure and success are our teachers as long as you are receptive to the lessons they teach. Keeping an open mind and communicating are incredibly important. Both of you have said as much in this video. You have learned things. Now you just have to figure out how to best apply them to your own situation. One mistake I have made in some relationships is to hang on too long to one you know is failing. It can be the difference between remaining friends or not.

I wonder if I'm not insecure about trans women because I'm bi or if I'd be like that if I was straight. I think the latter because I'm not attracted to men the same way I am women, especially because I'm heteromantic. I only like guys for sex. I like women for sex and romance, and I see trans women the same way I see cis women. I do want a kid, so that could be an issue, but I'm open to not having kids. I'm also not sure if I'll ever be financially stable enough for it.

The fact that you found your way back to each other speaks volumes. I have two friends who both got divorced and had other relationships with other people, but both these couples got back together with their ex-spouses, and both remarried and are happy together again.

I was in a marriage/relationship for over 18 years, all the compromises and faith in each other is what held. However, you know it’s bad when something life threatening happens to you to look at your past and realize that the whole time, you were never happy; that they never bent the knee in decisions with you. That’s when you fall out of favor in love with one another for sure. I compromised all the time- and they never did for me. I was a fake paper champion person that they made me into, & so I finally understood how sad I really was.

Financial stuff is one, you can go through a rough time, but there needs to be a clear goal on how to fix that stuff. Finding a new job or passion, I was in a similar place, I'm a free-spirited person that always tries to start my own stuff, and had a gf that always pushed me to get 9-5, that extra pressure made me doubt myself, we were together 4 years and once we broke up my life excelled. Started to believe myself and now I'm somewhat settled and found my place. Its ok to brake up if the person dose not believe in you.

I am 30 years old male from dc, i miss being in a relationship, i wish you all the happiness in the world.
Communication and money are always the two major issues in all relationships that drive a wall between each other. Little fights tend to build up into resentments over time till it all becomes toxic. Goals are great, but true love is supposed to be unconditional. Forgiveness is key along with being able to talk to each other without throwing past hurts at one another. I personally was a nightmare when it came to fights and resentments. I never had a positive role model to teach me, so I had to learn the hard way. Not putting their needs in consideration, and feeling I had to win always was a sure way to be alone. As I've gotten older I can see all my faults and stubbornness were poisonous, and must have made my partners go nuts. There is a saying never go to bed angry which I believe is the perfect way to talk, and truly feel each other's fears that have made us lash out. We are supposed to be our best friends as well as lovers. You two seem like a great couple, and I hope it all works out.
Money pressure can be poison in any relationship. People say money does not matter but when you are left to your own thoughts it can prey on your mind in negative. That can adversely affect a relationship you are in.

They say they set boundaries and let each other know what they expected from each other. First of all boundaries are good. But, each one telling their partner what they expect from each other is not a healthy way of going about a relationship. Instead of asking your partner what they can do for you you should be telling your partner what you can do for them. Selflessness is always best.

I feel like you mislead your viewers when you said you found out he was messaging other girls and that that lead to the breakup. I don’t think you owe us any explanations and i don’t think you did it on purpose, but I think mentioning that you didn’t have set boundaries in place at the time would have made a big difference in our perception of Igor. Either way if you’re happy we’re happy for you. Relationships are hard and they’re probably harder for you as a trans woman so it’s great to see you’ve found someone that loves and accepts you for who you are.

As men, we are conditioned from an early age to provide for our loved ones. When we get to a point where we cannot...shit usually gets bad. I completely agree, there’s nothing necessarily wrong with getting back with an ex as long as there isn’t any abuse going on - my now husband and I broke up after dating for I think 8 months, and we ended up spending 4 months apart and we got back together and now we have been married for 3 years 🤷🏻♀️ and dated for another 2 years before that.

Maya you are truly a beautiful and intelligent person, but you have to be honest with yourself and realize that trying to be a "star" and sharing your life too much on social media will likely hurt your relationship with Igor in the long run.
