This is a really good summation of the 3 timing options -- I will add that for manual bend marker it's good practice to have Snap ("N") on so that the bend marker moves the transient to the bar/note position.

Again! I didn't know that!😆 I recently had to use the timestretch feature on a backing vocal track. When you click on th 'i" on the left. Click timestretch then don't follow. His phrasing was off so because it didn't follow the click I went word by word and in some cases syllable by syllable shrinking and stretching to make it closely match the lead vocalist. I am very accomplished at that now!😆 Thanks for another great tutorial Joe! Love it!!

Man, these videos are great. I've learned so much in last year or so from both you & Gregor. Clearly explained and flawlessly demonstrated. It's helped my workflow immensely and improved my sound immeasurably, fantastic. Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

I was going to learn how to fix vocals in pitch and timing, and here's your video about it. Magic!)))

Great stuff, so clearly explained. I immediately thought of how I can use this to tighten up vocal doubling tracks 👍

Maybe I’m wrong and missed it, but you (PreSonus) haven’t done a video about creating a feed loop, with a click track, to calculate ACTUAL sample latency!!!! That’s MASSIVE one of the biggest problems people actually have, and can easily be corrected. Seems like more often than not my system is actually printing AHEAD of the beat. I have a Apple Fortuneteller. 😂 Latest design. Had to adjust mine let’s say -150 or whatever. Heck Logic is like -1500…
You search and people are always complaining about latency issues, but that can be fixed easy and free. No CPU or RAM upgrades. Heck you can run at 1024, with the correct sample rate adjustment, it’s like recording at 32!!!!!!!!!

Hi, why do you keep your time stretching mode on drums while editing the bendmarkers for guitar? Isn't "Sound - Elastique Pro Formant" not the better option here?

Bcareful, S1 still places bend markers in the wrong spot, after the real transients. It may doesn't fit for electric guitars where it's important to be aligned to pick attack, not the raise of output which is ~15ms later

Joe how do you fix a track that does not have a drum part only guitar and vocal that goes in and out of tempo throughout the song?

I don't know what it is but everytime i record my e drums in studio one everything is a little bit of when I listen to it, I tried to record in cubase with the same settings and no problems, What's going on ? I've had this issue with studio one 4 and upgraded to 6 still same issue...
This problem makes me thinking about buying cubase instead

Hi Joe, my name is AJ studio one 6.2 user and I'm really stumped with the timing. I have Antares auto key that I use to detect the key and tempo of my tracks(Awesome!) however when I set the file tempo for the music track say it was 93 and the new BPM is 74 when I set this new tempo in the inspector and play back the song with the new BPM non of my vocal racks follow there all out of sync with the tempo and I have to manually move all the tracks to line up with the new tempo I know it's something I'm not doing and the 93 BPM works fine but I would love to hear how the whole song sound with the new BPM Please Help I thank you in advance if your not to busy and I look forward to hearing from you

Please add the option to create midi, to be able to work with general midi, this is necessary for those of us who work creating sequences for pianos and the pianos can detect the sounds that we assign, it is the only thing that studio one needs, I am forced to work on cakewalk to be able to do that work and I really don't like it, please I ask you to add this function.

Yeah never ever have a good result with the stretching inside studio one for guitars. Work great with vocals though. Bus the inside clip move is the best for guitar IMO.

Great Video. but 90% at the time bend tool will destroy your audio with lots of artifacts, even in small fixes, This algorithm must be improved. Cubase's Time-Stretch sounds way better for now.

Hi Tom, you can pick your preferred algorithm for the bend tool in the Track Inspector (F4 key). Usually, "Sound" works the best for stretching polyphonic / chord material. "Solo" is my preferred choice for time-stretching Vocals. -GBY

@@presonus thx for rplying, I try all algorithms, I agree that works best for percussions and solo instruments, but for vocals, acoustic guitar, and pianos I never could make work with no artifacts in sound.
