'You've been back only six weeks and I'm going to do for you what it took somebody six months to do for me." "Yes sir, what's that?" "Nothing" Impeccable timing. A flawlessly executed scene. Not only do they not make 'em like they used to, to my knowledge they never made any like this at all.
Absolute classic film. This scene reminds me of the line from the UK "world at war" series. A disabled US veteran on complaining about how painful his wounds were gets told by the army Doc "look Son, If you're looking for sympathy you can find it in the dictionary, it's between "shit" and "syphilis".....". How's about that for bedside manner? No "safe spaces" in those days.

Yeah, also lots of people with PTSD who beat their wives and kids. There's a balance to be struck between a soft and a tough approach, and everyone who disagrees is too lazy and self-righteous to really think about it. There are a lot of people I know for whom it took just one favour, one lenient act to get back on the right path. One of them became a motorcycle cop, would you believe it? Will retire this summer, after nearly 50 years on the force.
As I understand it, the parking brake works with no pressure in the air brakes, so releasing the air makes the parking brake work. Opposed to the normal brakes requiring air pressure to make them work. No air makes the brakes activate in case of any failure in the braking system. I'm no trucker or mechanic so that's a rough guide.
And Robert looked good in a police uniform!!!
Favorite scene in one extremely underrated film. Blake repeating the guys questions is hysterical and classic Blake.
This is got to be some of Roberts best work. Electra Glide in Blue.
I always liked this film, watching that scene I remember why
"And you don't even have to thank me for it." LOL.
Typical of the thanks the vets got when they came back. Nixon and Johnson sent them off on a holy war....... LOL
Robert Blake is very solid in this, he had a natural way of delivering dialogue that makes me wonder why he wasn't in more movies.
he comes off as a little 'intense' in interviews.
I think it was because of his part in, "in cold blood"
“Give me a good example of an early 70’s movie”
The way Blake motions towards Buckeye Road while delivering his line is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
And you don't even have to thank him for it. LOL.
Now you got me wanting to watch the whole movie
Pretty good flick.
You've never seen this movie? I got the bike in my garage! My father had me watch it after eazy rider.
You didn't vote for Nader did you?
You should. Excellent movie
Definitely a great movie.
I like how Robert Blake is left handed and they fitted him with a left handed holster ........ you never see that in a "Hollywood" cop movie.
And did you happen to notice that his Helmet had the rings on the “left” side of it.
Not the right side.
Non essential to the plot but so important to understanding Wintergreen

A Fantastic film , and a great actor
"I'm going to do for you what it took six months for someone to do for me....nothing." Its refreshing in the age of virtue signalling.
I've remembered that one line for almost 50 years now.

Can someone explain what Robert was doing inside the Tractor? Was he releasing the brakes?

@@theanalogkid6555 Thanks for explaining this
They just don't make em like that anymore.
The BEST!
That film was kind of anti Easy Rider
Looks like Carefree Highway
I miss living in Scottsdale.
His hair sure grew fast in only two months.
