That steam escaping, both before the pressure seal kicks in and after it is released is a massive amount of energy being wasted. By manually engaging the pressure seal as you turn on the unit, and by reducing the 'cook time' to just 1 minute and allowing the pressure to release naturally (as well as disabling any 'keep warm' settings), you should be able to pretty dramatically reduce the power consumption. I'd also use half as much water since you only need very little to make steam and engaging the seal manually will mean none of the water escapes (and the chicken will release water as it heats up). As for the airfrying, it's kind of the opposite in that you want there to be as little moisture in there as possible, as youre just wasting all the energy needed to vaporize it, so I'd recommend you drain any liquid and then allow the chicken at least ~5m exposed to the open air near the vent fan, this will dramatically reduce the moisture content in the skin (something most professional chefs do when crisping any kind of meat) and thus the amount of time and energy needed to crisp them (as well as increasing their overall crispiness). I'd wager you could knock off at least 25-50% of the energy consumed with some tinkering. Good luck!
Keep Betty Crockpot’s clear glass lid if it fits on your ninja pot insert. If you make a lasagna and had leftovers you could slap that lid on and shove it in the fridge (if it fits). Great video. The hike views were amazing.

FF listening to your issue I wish to offer a bit of an explanation having worked my entire career with pumping and pump related equipment. The thump indicates to me that the pump in use is a positive displacement stroking pump and not a centrifugal pump. The sound you could be hearing is not the pump it's self but thump of the liquid it is moving per stroke. What you may be able to incorporate is a snubbing vessel tee'd into the discharge line. This would be a small tank that is tee'd in that is partially filled with diesel fuel and topped off with a larger captured air space. This air space will then act as a shock absorber damping the impact noise you are putting up with. It will smooth out the fuel pressure creating a more laminar liquid flow. This is a common hydraulic fix in many applications.

I have kitted out a couple of rehearsal studios to know a thing or two on sound isolation... the most important aspect of having successful sound isolation is an air-tight seal. In comparison to normal construction you basically seal every crevice in the construction, and preferably build two walls with an air gap in between.... In this case, I don't know how much of the sound is transported through the fuel line (I have only dealt with drums, not fuel pumps) ;), but the basics is that you need sealant for all the joints of the box. Also a tight rubber seal on the lid. And I guess a couple of tight o-rings for the fuel line. A way to further isolate the sound is to build a air tight box around the box... The dampening material only helps with the intensity of the sound, not the volume, it doesn't isolate the sound. If it feels worth it, you can give it a go. But I am afraid that the fuel line is actually transporting sound and it will be impossible to get rid of the sound completely.
Good points. I also thought maybe a double skinned box with an air gap made from perspex maybe more a better medium than wood? You still have the lines to deal with as you point out.
In boats and other places lead sheet is often considered the optimal material. Oddly enough I mounted my heater pump with the rubber mount supplied bolted solidly to the vehicle frame and with fairly long fuel line and it is really quite quiet .

Great video as always Foresty, sorry the pump did not work out as planned. Was in a garage once waiting on my truck when another driver came in complaining about the noise his bunk heater was making at night and wanting to know what his options were. The mechanic tossed him a box of those foam ear plugs and replied, "Try these or don't turn the thing on."🤣 I hope when Crock Pot goes to it's resting place, you will include a request for future climbers to send you a video of their visit.
Rip mr. Crockpot. Your channel is my favorite
The video was like running into your friend's ex-husband with younger bimbo... now I'm concerned about my emotional attachment to a complete stranger's broken crock pot.
😀😁
The crock pot is legendary
Hahahahah hahahahah
Thanks for the lol !! 😆
Why? He probably got it for 2 dollars at a garage sale...
Really digging the time lapse walk back down the mountain.
That was a serious looking burger...and those onion rings; nice.
The views on your hike were incredible. I can't believe how steep some of the climb was, yikes. Where the footprints stopped........you just kept going!
RIP Crockpot, love the Rose, lol. Stay safe and looking forward to more adventures!
The ultra quiet pump is louder. than the original one.
Only half way through and had to pause to say...favorite UA-cam content and how awesome you are. The drone shots haven’t even came yet. I wouldn’t mind my tv cable bill if you had a station on it.

You make living in a van look easy&fun!
That instant pot is sick. Those wings looked downright scrumptious. RIP Crock Pot. Goodnight sweet prince.
Your hike footage was next level. Usually epic, this was beyond epic. Damn.
