after watching this for abit, i feel that this ball might not be everyone’s cup of tea, its reaction is similar to urethane where it’s early and very little down lane motion,
Unfortunately this isn't just Motiv. Yes, Motiv does have the most expensive equipment on the market currently, but there is solid reasoning behind it. Reason 1 being they pay for top of the line material for their covers to make them last the longest out of all brands. Unfortunately, that extra cost for material will always fall on the consumer which is basic business practice. And in my own personal opinions, it hits Motiv first since they manufacture in Michigan, and they are a stand alone brand unlike SPI with 3 brands and Brunswick with 7. It's slowly catching SPI as their top of the line ball is now $200 for just the ball. And I am assuming you are getting this $309 off of their website which is their MSRP but you can ALWAYS go through a pro shop who will be selling it the cheapest they are allowed to which in this case is $215 for the ball. I understand it is expensive, but we are living in a world where prices are rising on a daily for everything. But if you don't want to spend that much on a ball simply don't get it and look for a cheaper alternative. Whether it's buying a used one or buying one from a different brand that is a little cheaper.
would you suggest maybe taking the surface up to say 2000/3000 for a little less bite up front?
how would this compare to the carbide tank
Might just do that as a short to compare. Stay tuned for a new short coming soon!
Would love to see Mythic vs Ambush compare!
Looks like a monster cover. Might not be in play very often for me.
Pyramid is better what stops me from buying them?
