Absolute INSANITY!! - Tropical Estuary Fishing!

- This was the most epic day I've ever witnessed in this small coastal estuary system, I started off the day with a goal for a Barra, a Mangrove Jack and a Threadfin Salmon, and what unfolded blew me away! I've never seen so many active fish in this creek and they all wanted to eat!

Mate, I’ve never caught that many in that creek! But in saying that I’d never seen so many feed marks up there. When I saw that at the front of the creek I knew it would be on up in the dirtier reaches!

I agree mate, I like fishing with the boys but when I go solo I can elaborate a lot further on what I’m seeing which in turn creates a better learning experience for the people watching! I’m proud of this one, it’s one of my best ✌🏻

Bloody bonza mate!! Awesome video. I think they're called environets because they're too short to land fish, therefore the fish don't get taken and it's good for the environment haha 😜. Those little versus boxes are good hey I've been using them for about a year now and keeps all me trebles and rings nice and sorted. Cheers Mick! 👍🏻🎣

Yeah I always have wished for one just a little bit deeper for bigger sizes and wider for a couple of extra size trebles also 👌🏻 maybe one day

Great video. I really wish we had some good fishing down here around Rockhampton & Yeppoon. You could fish like this all day everyday for years and still never see a fish.

@@Micksgonefishing haha yeah ya reckon, I’ve been everywhere here, worn out 2 outboards, 1 marriage, spent a fortune, no fish to show for it. I’ll say it again, there’s no fishing like that a anywhere near here.

Those nets are shit. Iv lost multiple fish when fishing 1 up in spring tides. Think they called "enviro nets" cause everything gets away.

Hey - the noise of the DC reels is like a dissapointed pussy - meeooww - but the action is awesome right - carefree flog the lure out... seems worth the coin...? And are they susceptible to salt water? Sensitive electronics?
Haha yeah it’s the DC - Disappointed Cat 😂 they see a good thing with the salt from what I’ve experienced, however even when backed right off they restrict the cast somewhat… I do prefer the standard Calcutta as an all round reel but I like this little 100DC for light lures, short range, high speed and accuracy 👌🏻

are you ever weary of crocs when you've got your hands in the water releasing fish?
Yeah always weary, but generally I’m quite alert to what’s in the area. We are pretty lucky where we live, it’s too cold for crocs to be active in the water this time of year!
