My bottom freezer Kenmore refrigerator has shelves that roll out.
Most likely for safety since children could get a hold of said shelves, risking injury.

Not much different than my daughter's 2017-vintage Frigidaire dishwasher (center-sprayer and bottom-sprayer!)
