Nice video! I want to know as to why is it when sometimes during response, the PL or even ambulance didn't turn on their siren fully?? Isn't that supposed to be that way when responding to an emergency 🙄 and somemore stopping at a traffic light with blinkers and siren activated 😂🚨

RRRsome, It depends on the traffic outside of the station or even how the crew felt that day. This was recorded during the open house day so they probably wanted to impress the kids. Another reason is because the traffic outside Central Fire Station is always very conjested as it is in the middle of the tourist-y and financial district so the crew would have to horn their sirens to get people to move, these are the 2 main factors, anyways.

One reason why they stop at traffic lights is becoz of safety purposes and other road user purposes.. Have to wait for the road traffic to be clear then it will only proceed with siren and blinkers on. Even though they have their right of way still have to follow the safety protocol.

if it is a case of suicide or someone held hostage, sirens can agitate the subject/suspect. so as they approach the scene, they would turn off their sirens and blinkers.

Bob Blyth They have a strict 1 minute turnout limit so they need to move quickly to respond, this was also a high-priority call as multiple appliances were dispatched for support as well. :)

This Pump Ladder was going out for a call and firefighters were putting their equipment that was on display back into the truck to respond. They would typically don their fire retardant suits inside the truck while going to the location.

No, the 111 on the side of the truck means its from SCDF Division 1, Station 11 and Pump Ladder 1, hence the numbers 111. The emergency number for fire and medic in Singapore is 995.

It will be a little bit hard as you cannot visit fire posts,so it is purely on luck to catch a turnout from fire post,but how it goes is that the one recieving the call out will announce that there is a turnout in the post and they will just turnout themselves.

Jeffrey cope just imagine public come to visit a fire station with equipment layout. Then u don't expect visitors coming in with empty equipments to show u about fire safety. Then u must as well come in to visit the fire engine everytime.
