Im loving my nexus geo, its absolutely butter. Great release and incredibly comfortable, played 3 games on it now and its my favorite stick ive used to date
@Samuel Meisner I’ve also used the supreme line for a while and was thinking about buying this one. but i’ve found the durability on all the supreme sticks since the 2s pro has gotten a lot weaker. i’ve blown through 3 sticks in 4 months
gotta say that you're one of the few channels i check regularly because of how often you post and that you show all the newest gear. even though half of it is goalie, still stoked. sweet vid!!
I bought an UltraSonic after watching ur fantastic review on it! I personally believe it is the best stick of 2020, but I’m sure the release on the Geo is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
I tried all the top line sticks and I’ve come to my list Geo Trigger 5 Pro Flylite AS3 Pro FT3 Pro The geo is just so good, you can just pick a spot and laser it, idk why people hate on the trigger5, it’s so good, the accuracy is amazing and the power is great too, flylite is just solid overall, as3 pro I think got the most power off, and the ft3 pro just underperformed for me, if certainly was amazing and I would take it over my AS1 right now but it underperformed in accuracy and power with the t5 and geo.
Great review. Just got one haven’t used it yet. The only point I would say the nexus 2n pro does work well for wrist shots and puck feel. Not sure how the 5 sided shaft will feel seeing as the shaft angle could throw off the accuracy. Either way excited to give it a try. Hope to see your review on CCM trigger 5 pro. I used that and ft3 pro and they feel hallow and weak. We’ll see long term review though.
For me personally I really love my 2n pro and thought it worked perfect for me with everything including slap shots. Do u think they have really changed up the stick like they did from 2s pro to ultrasonic?
So, Ultrasonic still takes amazing slap shots but they make it easier to release in every other shot. To me 2N Pros best feature was its "feel" and puck control while being an okay shooting stick. I feel this will be very similar in terms of feel but just next level for shooting. So if you enjoy the shaft shape I can't see why people wouldn't like this one if they came from a 2N Pro.
@@lyyn8545 I actually tried the trigger 5 pro, I’ve never used a trigger stick before but this one was amazing, one of if not the most accurate sticks I’ve used with great power

2 things. I saw that the bauer 3n pro had a stick that was taller than most other bauer sticks. do you believe this option will be available in the nexus geo? and have you used the bauer 3n pro?
Unless you go custom, the Geo won't come in the longer version. I haven't used the 3N Pro and probably wont, since it is basically the same stick as the GEO where as the 3S Pro was a different taper design.
what stick would you recommend for a 6”4’ defencemen with a decent shot and hands. i’ve loved the 2s pro but found the durability isn’t the best. i’ve been debating on buying this but i can’t figure out if it fits my play style. If you’ve got any other stick recommendations i’d love to her them.
There isn't a blanket stick I can recommend. You have to figure out what you like from a feel perspective and figure which stick supports your play style most. But it is all personal preference anyways so anything I say will just be based on what my thoughts are.
Honestly can't really answer that question as sticks are all personal preferences. But the Trigger 4 Pro should be on clearance and considerably cheaper than the Geo. I wouldn't pay $100 more to get a GEO over a Trigger 4 Pro.
Supreme will be more powerful but harder to release. Both would be fine tbh. I love the shaft shape on the Nexus enough to pick it just for that so I'd suggest trying to hold on to both and see if it matters to you.
I have never heard that criticism for the Nexus before... so I am afraid I won't be able to a say anything to that. I have had no poor experiences with the Nexus sticks myself and my producer have.
@@HockeyReviews when will you be able to compare the ft3 pro and geo, and pick between the two? Also, will you be reviewing the trigger 5 pro anytime soon?
So the reason the lines are in there is because the tooling couldn’t be cost effective. The tooling will probably have markings to cut the sling tech out and it’s imprinted in the fabric. No point machining out another aluminium mould, and agree with the 5 sides. Loverly fit.

It is a soft launch, so if a store has it you can buy it from the store but can't buy it online.

@@HockeyReviews so would you suggest the 3n because the fact it’s not all that different and it wouldn’t need an extension?
I mean, you have to figure out what you exactly want. I don't put extensions in my sticks so I can't speak to having to weight those options.
I’m a bit confused on how do you get the dark blue with green when I go on the Bauer site it’s only light blue
The MyBauer customizer is a bit misleading.
Yeah it only shows the green on the retail blue color
Love your reviews!! I know you're a Sakic curve loyalist, so I have a question: do you find any difference at all in the CCM p29 vs Bauer p92?
I have no issues going back and forth between the two. I can't tell a difference in shooting them besides for the different stick lengths.
@@HockeyReviews Awesome, thanks!
I'm predicting they would do something like the ultrasonic and geo with vapor
Makes sense! But with Bauer's release schedule they luckily don't make sticks EVERY year like CCM. So next year we should see the Vapor upgrades.
Ultrasonic or geo
When does the stick release in Canada?
I picked this up off a store shelf so... it is already out as a "soft" launch.
Do you prefer the feel of the ultra sonic or the geo?

Will you be able to do a review of the Nexus 3N? Not the pro model, just the “mid range” regular 3N model?
Sorry I won't be doing a review on that.

Yo How different is the ft3 pro from the nexus geo I got a ft3 pro now and might switch
FT3 has a more pingy blade, Nexus is softer. FT3 Pro shoots a bit better IMO but I don't feel it is a HUGE drop off. Both are really good.

Seems similar to the STX sticks.
STX does it for feel, Bauer did it for performance with the side benefit of feel.

They are fake if they are labelled as a big brand company.
Does the flex rating feel the same with the Geo (compared to the 2N pro)? Or does it play stiffer/whippier?
Plays the same
