The first digital angle gauge review I've seen that actually covered all of the relevant aspects of use and accuracy ... with one exception. (more below) It was fast and to the point, too. Great review! The exception is checking accuracy by referencing from multiple sides of the gauge. The accuracy of the sensor itself should be checked by referencing only off a single side. Using a baseline from one side then measuring the angle using another side will compound any error by adding the sensor's error to the case squareness error. Whatever edge you take your baseline from should be the edge you use to check the angle. And, if you are simply checking a slope, then zeroing against a leveled reference surface should be done first. (Obviously whether you bother with this depends on your accuracy requirements.)
Anyone noticed, that rotating the tool 180 degrees (rotation performed with magnetic base continually touching the table's surface / not changing the tool's surface of contact!) on the flat surface results in range between 0 - 0.6 degree. I am trying to verify the flatness of my table saw, and I noticed this baffling behavior... Even after calibration, the problem persists...
@Sparky Channel. Thanks Bill for another thorough and great product review. I appreciate that Klein tries to use commonly available batteries (AAA or 9V) for their electronic tools. I always try any use nickel metal hydride AAA batteries when I can because I've yet to have them leak in a device. However, of all the Klein electronic tools I have (pinless moisture meter, GFI/AFI tester, coax tester, NCVT-3) only their NCVT-1 and CL310 will work with my nickel metal hydride AAA batteries. Everything else sets a low battery status. Wish Klein would change that. It's bad enough to turn on a tool and have weak batteries. It's worse to open the battery door only to find one or more batteries that leaked. Stay safe and healthy everyone.
Yes, on my old channel I had a video reminding viewers to put new batteries in their meters and testers once in a while. Not only does it make the testing more reliable but it prevents battery leaks in expensive testing equipment. Yes, everyone stay healthy!
Thanks for the great review, level looks well made. Does anybody know of one digital level with the digital read out on top for pipe bending with a foot bender? Thanks
@@SparkyChannel Thanks for replying, I thought I mentioned the idea hoping that Klein Tools or another company reads your comments. Digital levels are very useful when bending a lot of parallel offsets with an uncommon degree but slow when you have to keep stepping to the side to check. As far as protecting the digital readout from scratches or breaking, a couple of raised bumps would do it.
Hi, how are you? It's so nice to hear from you again! Yes, the new Sparky Channel is up and running and improved! I hope all is well with you and you family!
@@SparkyChannel I'm doing great,Bill ! All is well and the family is doing great! Thank u for asking. I hope all is well with you and your family as well ! Have a great day and I'm looking forward to more vids!
Go Bill Go! Loving the re-uploads. I've told all my guys "Go back to UA-cam, go to Sparky Channel's new channel and click 'subscribe.'" At least that will be seven more subs! :)
I bought one and love it. Great to calibrate my slidesaw.
Right on!

Handy tool. Klein is always looking out for electricians. Thanks for another great review Sparky.
That's a good point. Also, they are probably the most innovative electrical company. I hope all is well with you and you family!
Good morning Bill! My wife ordered this for me for my birthday. It's arriving in a couple hours too. Cant wait to test it out.
Hi Michael. You'll really like it. The numbers are easily visible and it's accurate. :) I hope all is well with you and you family!
Nice video sparky!
Thanks! Have a great weekend! I hope all is well with you and you family!
I need to have this
My ole pal back in the saddle ... Lol ... Good vid Bill ... Klein's hard to beat ...
Hi Eddy! Yes sir, I had to start from all zeros after the hack but the channel is coming back! :) I hope all is well with you and you family!
What is the power source? Does it use a replaceable battery? If yes which one?
great video as always !!! question what is the best way to level EMT pipes on the celling . thanks
A laser works great if you have one.

@@SparkyChannel you're welcome
Say I’m trying to find the angle of a big curve on the wall. Would this tool tell you??
^^^
I just won one of these in a giveaway. This was helpful
Congratulations!
Can this device be used for measuring bend radius of conduit/cable?
Yes.
@@SparkyChannel appreciate the quick response. Curious how so? Seems like this is only applicable to measuring set angles.
For 30 bucks that's a huge steal
Thanks!

Not that I know of. That's a great idea though.

Good tool for use on a table saw blade!!
That's true, I didn't think of that.
Could you measure a corner where two walls meet? How would you do this?
Can i use this to bend conduit?
Sure.
@@SparkyChannel Thanks for the fast reply. Im going to buy it now
how do u unzero it once u click zero
Should of used a Chicago or sidewinder bender for demonstrating
