I bought the small Klein first and use it on the table saw for dialing in angles. I picked up the larger Klein for all of its features. And yes it’s wonderful. Good comparison Doc.
Those small gauges are NOT for telling you if something is level. The reading on the display is based on the last time it was calibrated to the zero point. They are very handy for reading the CHANGE in angle from another plane, such as setting the bevel angle on a table saw. And even if you calibrated to a perfectly level surface, they are too short to be accurate, you should use a longer level for that.
The last Klein tool you showed IS a level, it can tell you if something is indeed level.

I didn't even know about these companies having angle gauges... Wixey has been around for over a dozen years and dominated their product in the woodworking world.
I like my Wixey WR300. I'd love to see you compare it to these three...
Agree on the bigger Klein. That's my favorite by a big margin.
The large Klein is pretty big but it is great to have the digital bubble... very useful. Was worth the $$$.
There are a lot of options in this space, specially if you increase the $$$ range. I’d like to know more about that last Klein option.
Prexiso 3 in 1 is my favorite lately not othered by tilt nearly as much as you showed. Just as accurate as my klein bigger model. I love usb c rechargeable and the 90 degree angle lasers are actually usefull. It keeps me from carrying a 2 plane laser in a casual situation. The klein is decent like the slop feature but I rarely need such things.
I have a Stanley USA made 42-191 and it works great. Much more accurate than my iPhone's Level app. lol....

Have you tested any electronic "tape" measure. I have a older Bosch unit.

I know it is not the same class of equipment, but I think you should try with Bosch GLM 50-27 CG. Its even more complete than those Klein you showed us.

I was about to mention this bosch tool. It's on my belt right now. Even the older glm 50 with the red laser use this level function. But I like this new one with the belt clip and the possibility to use a rechargeable li-ion battery. And the green laser is better. But I think is more expensive than this Klein.

I have one, so i know that. Use it often.
And, yes, it can measure the distance, too.
I would like to see those compared to the phone apps that do the same thing.
Its surprising that for a digital gauge the accuracy is so low, even per the manufacturer claims. They read in 0.1 degree increments, but have a +/- accuracy of 0.2 degrees. That means the angle can be off by up to 0.4 degrees. I wonder if having such a short length to measure from is part of the problem? Calipers and other digital gauges will measure into the thousandths, although that doesn't mean they are that accurate. For most applications, that should be good enough, but with digital, I would expect better.
I been using Huepar. It's a China brand but probably uses the same gyroscope chip. The price is way cheaper. I bought the 3d green laser with remote sensor. Been using it to level out a pad for a house I am building. They claim accurate to 1\16" @300ft. Can you open these up and look at the brand of gyro?
Bought the huepar laser measuring unit. It is accurate to 1\16" and I tested that at both long and short distances. A heck of a lot easier than running a tape 60' as long as you have something to point it against
Too bad you didn't include any "premium" ones like Wixy or Sola.
