I was looking for a video like this as I started out when the Kingdom collab happened and I'm *still* kind of unsure who to build or what does what. When you covered Rebel I was kind of hoping for Snakefruit to get mentioned because the potions made from their skill don't seem to do anything but alas I know you said this series was done, but would like to hear opinions on the new guys regardless if you ever had the itch as hearing better players opinions helps a lot :v
ahh, sorry about that! the reason i covered Rebel specifically was because he’s one of two remaining cookies from LINE Cookie Run that had a chance of coming back to Ovenbreak. and as an og Cookie Run fan, that’s huge news because now there’s just Special Forces Cookie left! i was thinking i’d cover newer cookies in a side video in the future, but the only reason i didn’t do that now was because i didn’t want the series to feel constantly outdated. (which is why i focused on objective viability over current viability because Ovenbreak has really bad powercreep). i’ll give you some advice as an experienced Ovenbreak player though: newer cookies or cookies that receive buffs are usually going to outclass others! also if a cookie is a legendary, is an epic cookie that has some sort of revival ability, or is an epic cookie with a way of earning energy by themselves or with their pet, those cookies will also be very good to level up. but in my opinion, maxing out whatever cookies you like the most is always the best way to play Ovenbreak, especially because cookies get balanced very often. it’s only a matter of time before your favorite cookie gets buffed in an update so never feel discouraged :)
@@theoriginalalex Fair enough, and thank you for the advice! Just kind of overwhelmed with how many characters there are haha. I've just been kind of winging it as I go but I am learning. Like how everyone in trophy race seems to spam Ginseng (who I can't use for the life of me as he keeps jumping to his death lmao)
@@mrfandangojimmies7117 i don’t blame you, Ovenbreak’s got a lot of cookies! if you want to score high in trophy races, the leaderboard is a good indicator of what’s in the meta at the moment! people are most likely using Ginseng Cookie because his magic candy gives him a revive! in fact, if Ginseng were on my tier list, i probably would’ve ranked him high A to low S tier :)
@@theoriginalalex unsure if youve covered these ones or not, but there's always cloud, coffee, cream and buttercream choco left to come back to ovenbreak too!
@@StaceyRenni3 true! i just didn’t include them because they seem less likely to be added (they were basically Rares in LINE Cookie Run) because Ovenbreak has added any new rares since the Season 1 update. but if they do end up coming, i’d be really surprised!
i appreciate the suggestion! however, i don’t think i would because i’ve always had a grudge against treasures in OvenBreak. because of how frequently they used to release, i was never able to max out every treasure despite being able to max out every cookie, pet, and magic candy. this also means that i don’t have as much experience using treasures compared to cookies and pets
Would you include Cookiedroid in future tier list? I know that's it's unlikely that event with her will get rerun but still I would like to see what tier she will get. And will you cover special cookies?
maybe! the big problem with them apart from not having any personal experience with them is that i can’t obtain them anymore. being a special unit, it’s unlikely that they’ll get any buffs or be in the game’s meta again so they’re harder to rank
@@theoriginalalex You can still play with Cookiedroid in her trial (only problem that she has the 1 lvl as well as her pet). Unfortunately, Mimmy and Hello Kitty don't have trials and the only way to somehow test them is to watch other people showcasing them. Also, neither Cookiedroid nor Mimmy and Hello Kitty have proper description of thier skill and amount of energy on first and max level on wiki. Yeah, it's pretty hard to rank the special cookies, but if you will, it would be very cool. I'm looking forward to it. Also, thank you for tier list. It is one of the best tier lists of Ovenbreak cookies i ever seen ^^
@@koishishkomeiji that’s true! i’ve played her trial before but not being able to level them up or use them in trophy races is the problem. i also have hello kitty and mimmy, but they aren’t maxed either. aside from that, i’m glad you enjoyed this tier list and they’ll be more to come in the future :)
This tier list definitely feels... old. I mean most of these rankings make sense for sure, but some of the cookies you rates higher up like adventurer cookie, fig cookie, muscle cookie, etc. are really, REALLY bad now.
that’s the hard part about Ovenbreak, the powercreep is pretty bad and there hasn’t been a massive balance update in a while. that’s the reason why i ranked the cookies on objective viability, because any cookie can be buffed at any time. but if you objectively compare a cookie like adventurer cookie and let’s say, walnut cookie, adventure cookie’s abilities are better for distance, he creates a lot more jellies, and has a combi bonus with a pet that can create power jellies and energy potions. and walnut, while having long abilities, can only really stall the energy drain well and get points, although under a short amount of a distance. and even though her combi bonus is good, her pet isn’t
Remembering last year Moonlight Cookie had a buff. I had brought her legendary costume but she hadn’t become the best cookie in CROB in that particular time (probably because she had become super powerful for half a year until the release of Ananas Dragon Cookie in 2020).
agreed! Muay Thai’s candy makes him a good relay, it’s just that his ability is a little more situational than Cinnamon for instance, who can earn lots of points outside of destroying obstacles
wish there is more niche cookies like destruction based, bear jelly based cookies etc. most cookies are the exact same, skill activate gives about 15-40m points and thats it. its extremely repetitive
hey! i made a community post about when i should rate all the newest cookies, which will include longan dragon and lotus dragon. you should check it out!
@@killrama2222 don’t beat yourself up, you’re all good! i’ll be rating longan dragon and lotus dragon later. since they’re both legendaries, they’re likely very good
you’re telling me i’m gonna rate Lilybell Cookie for LILYBELL COOKIE? well, both Lilybell Cookie and Blue Lily Cookie are most likely going to be the most powerful epics right now since they just released. but objectively: Blue Lily Cookie is better than Lilybell. Blue Lily’s ability doesn’t get her any distance, but her magic candy is pretty busted. her pet’s alright, combi bonus reliant. Lilybell Cookie is a nice mix between a jelly creation cookie and an average distance cookie, but she has no way of earning energy. Still, her base energy is great (305). While not designed for it, she’s most likely going to be a nice relay right now!
@@lilybellcookie3396 i explained that in another comment! Ginseng Cookie has a revive that buffs his ability, which not only gets a lot of points, but allows Ginseng to travel further than other relay cookies. what you’re seeing in trophy races is exactly how Cinnamon Cookie, Blueberry Pie Cookie, and Chess Choco Cookie are like when they get buffed, which is why those cookies are S tier
again, the list is based on potential! objectively, Werewolf Cookie’s ability has a lot more use than Onion Cookie in the long run, as no other obstacle destruction cookie excels as much as Werewolf Cookie, and there are other cookies that can score better on top of having better stats than Onion
