    Crossfit HQ, you have finally done it: YOU ARE DEAD TO ME. You just lost a year-long avid fan of the sport. I stayed off of social media for a full week to avoid spoilers for the Games results. Then, super excited and hyped I finally sat down to watch my beloved Crossfit Games. Went through all the footage over the course of 2 days. Only to find out that the stream just abruptly stops in the middle of Sunday. With no explanation. You are simply keeping the final events and the results from us. Just like that. No apologies. Still no upload a week later.
    This is so disrespectful and a big fat slap in the face of so many fans around the world!!!! How can you do that?
    I will never watch another Crossfit Games after this. And I am sure I am not the only one. You will have a lot of amends to make.

    People complaining about them continuing the games after Lazar’s death probably don’t realize that dozens of athletes have passed away during Olympics and Paralympics, sometimes due to negligence, and they have never paused the games. Even after the Munich massacre, they continued the games. These athletes dedicate their lives to the sport and their livelihood depends on it sometimes. The CrossFit games have given proper concessions to those athletes who need additional time to process and mourn, and the games are done in his honor. RIP Lazar.

      10000% agree here. Anyone that is talking about quitting is a quitter themselves and a reflection of who they are.

    • @sarahphillips8987
      @sarahphillips8987 2 місяці тому +30

      Please provide specific examples of when this happened in the Olympics or Paralympics due to gross negligence. The olympics had a close call in Tokyo, but at least the athlete's coach was not stopped from diving in and grabbing her swimmer (synchro swimming). The Munich massacre was an intentional act of murder carried out by people not associated with the games; these situations are not even remotely comparable. It would be different maybe if CF had proper safety protocols in place, if they had gone into the water immediately to try to get him, and basically if they had done all they could to save him. That didn't happen here, so continuing on in light of their own gross negligence is just that, gross. And no, I don't blame the athletes who chose to continue, they were put in an impossible position to decide.

    • @Grill_interrupted
      @Grill_interrupted 2 місяці тому

      @@sarahphillips8987 most deaths at the Olympics could be attributed to some sort of negligence… the collapse of a temporary bridge the last time they were in Paris killed 4, a skier crashed into a snow groomer that shouldn’t have been on the slopes at that time(has happened more than once), a coach ki**ing himself due to lack of mental health resources at the games in 2020, a boxer dying of blood poisoning after an unsafe boxing match, several deaths from improper Luge control and athlete error, and even west Germany admitted to having decreased security to down play the “military” image following WW2, which led to the the Munich massacre… a gross oversight since Israel had also expressed safety concerns. Not to mention all the safety negligence with the other terrorist attacks that have happened at the games.
      Was the drowning handled as well as it could have been in the moment? Probably not. Could it have still happened with double the amount of safety regulations? Yes. We still don’t even know how he passed away. He was obviously a proficient swimmer and well within his skill range, so there were clearly other issues that contributed.
      Should we take these opportunities away from every athlete that has been working all year, and possibly their lives out of pure symbolism. I don’t think so, but to each their own. The athletes who more needed time are not being punished for it.

      @sarahphillips8987 you're right. Any time anyone dies doing anything, no one should ever do that thing ever again. Sigh.
      Sports are risky. Playing football is risky. Triathlons are risky. Bungee jumping is risky. If you'd rather watch people sit in a corner, then that's on you. Most of the world wants to live a life surrounded by others living their lives. Go hide under a blanket, literally no one cares.

    Is anyone over alllllllllllll the commentary? All I hear is Adrian Conway talking and talking and talking 🥴😑🤫 let’s us just watch.
    Is it necessary? Said with kindness and just wondering if anyone thinks the same 🤔

    God loves you all very much and He proved it by sending His Son Jesus to die and rise for us! The Bible says we're all sinners, including myself, and we've broken His Laws which means that He will punish us in hell, as the Bible teaches. God is a good Judge, who also desires to show mercy. If we repent of our sins and surrender our lives to the risen Jesus we will be forever forgiven and forever saved from His wrath!

    Wow, I haven't even checked in on CrossFit since the plandemic, so 2019. I think O'm through with this whole mess. It's grown WAY to big and commercial, completely spoiled. Too many contestants and every single one looks tooled, sexually perverted, and juiced to HELL. Nothing in the US can ever remain realistic for any length of time. In any case, bye now.

    It's a shame what the athletes did. They say they are a great community. False, they only care about money. At the very least, they should have all stopped for a minute during the second event. I have respect for those who stopped and, of course, for those who withdrew. Regarding the CrossFit Games, it was negligence that should be punished. They should have canceled the second event as a sign of respect. For me, the CrossFit Games are over forever. I will never watch them again. Deceit and selfishness are all that exists in them

      Not everything has to be about pure entertainment. Just because one event isn’t thrilling for some people to watch, doesn’t mean it’s not complex and nuanced to execute.
      This workout is in remembrance of a life lost! If it didn’t entertain you enough 🤷🏼‍♀️. CrossFit is more than just a fun sport to watch!!!
      CrossFit is about doing hard things, keeping commitments to yourself, fighting for your mental and physical health, pushing past limits you thought existed, coming together and pushing, supporting, and challenging each other, and proving to yourself that you can do hard things.
