Our southern states of India are really incredible...despite being a north Indian I really appreciate the art and the culture of our south Indians...❤❤
Appreciate the efforts, hope to see more of these.
Proud of our Beautiful Indian Culture
Don't get confused with Pavakoothu which is glove puppetry of Kerala.
Thank you *"JAI HIND"*
literally these things make our country and Hinduism so much cultured and diverse. Government patronage is continuously required indeed.

They said Ram as mythical at 0:16
Ramayana is actually a mythical account of king Rama. I say mythical as it is not factual. Read about it more.
This happens in our temple in pUthUR, Palakkad, kerala. It is literally old, atleast 300 years and songs are also very old and normal people won’t be able to understand the language. They even don’t use the Mike or stereo systems.
I've got the good fortune to watch them play. A feast ❤️.
The appreciable thing is that they took time off to explain the art and the puppets. Some are 100s of years old... 😮
In which month it happens
In the month of march end - April start 😀
Ok i just wanna know the exact place and details, coz planning to take a documentary on it..if you don't mind please share more details about it.!?

If you can get the google map in the comment, let me know. Otherwise I will share it through email. There is no website for temple. That is know as “ Garuda pattu “ which will be a small celebration at the night with 1-3 elephant’s to show the part of Ramayana we’re Garuda comes. Let me know if you need any help if you are visiting. Thank you

traditional family - Padmashri Ramachandra Pulavar
"Puppets made from the skin of goats and cow" I guess they were not bothered about sacrificing animals then. Still wonder how they justify using leather and such materials inside temple premises when the authorities dont allow people to wear leather belts!.
They r extracted from animals who die naturally
Koothumadams are placed outside of chuttambalam....
