The character’s name is Ivan (pronounced Ee-von). And yes, the actor’s name is David McCallum, who went on later to play Ducky. This was actually a reunion for him and Robert Vaughn, who co-starred in the classic spy series “The Man From UNCLE” from 1964 to 1968. (And made a TV movie of it in 1983.)
