    I like the idea of the rollers on the travelling head. The kick out sensors are a good idea but can be pricey 😊😊

      Yes there is not a lot of profit in building these machines but it is a very nice splitter that works well.

    I like the solenoid control being a much cleaner solution to the linkage bar and threaded bar for height adjustment......i`m trying to set it up so the valve centers correctly from the height adjuster, at the moment the engine labors because the valve spool is not perfectly centered.
    Thanks for the tip

    Looks like a really great wood splitter, i am abit worried about you ram, you should add some more steel to the wedge so the ram doesn't get wear.

      Thanks for the tip. It should really be fine though the rod really never hits the wood and the chrome on cylinder rods is really hard and wear resistant.

      We run a larger cylinder and lower pressure to get 16 ton and lots of years of trouble free use.

      I really can't see a point of a log lifter. If you're carrying a log over at waist height, the bench is at that height already

      @@robertkustos2931 hi as i watch most people they just use it as a staging table , thats why i keep talking about a table like i have set up , john

      It's more beneficial if you have a huge piece to roll onto it that you can't pickup.

    Hello. I see you've got a foot pedal to operate your splitter. I'm trying to see if my County Line 40 ton could be modified to operate in a similar way as yours does. Could you share how you did yours or maybe suggest how this could be accomplished? Thank you for any help you can provide.

    • @Garlands_Fabrication
      @Garlands_Fabrication  Рік тому

      Yes if you are handy and have a good hydraulic shop in your neighborhood I'm sure you can do it. You'll need to figure out how many gpm your pump is to figure out the valving. Thanks for the interest in our machine.

      @@rogerl8488thank you for the reply. Please keep me posted on your progress. Please take lots of pictures and videos as you progress. I’m sure there’re quite a few people that have the same splitter that want to do what you’re doing. I look forward to hearing and seeing more. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise.

      @@tombergschicker1087 hello Tom. Does your splitter have a hand lever that works the wedge? A YT short just got into my feed , coAAA BRE. This guy has modified his hand lever to include a foot pedal also without adding extra hose or valve system👍

      We are in New York. They are priced 12500 with the way it is setup. The conveyor is another 2500. Auto retract all electric controls with footpedal, retract height is adjustable. Rubber mounted engine for smooth low vibration. Led work lights and electric start. The entire machine get sandblasted and powder coated for a long lasting finish. Dexter torsion axle for smooth towing and trailer lights. I feel like I'm forgetting something haha. They are very nice machines.

    What is it like to tow on the road with the weight of the ram hanging in the air?

    • @Garlands_Fabrication
      @Garlands_Fabrication  Рік тому +1

      It tows great we use a dexter torsion axle. The cylinder has no effect on the way it tows. It has good tongue weight also. We do put bungee cords on the conveyor belt to keep it from slapping. They do have towing lights also.
