Note: If for some reason your GIMP interface is missing docks, you can go up to Windows-Dockable Dialogs and select from that drop down. You can then drag this new dialog to one of the corners of gimp (in single window mode) and it will create a new dock section with that tab you can customize.
Today we are going to be customizing our GIMP interface. GIMP's interface is comprised of different docks that house tabs. In this tutorial we will learn how to customize tabs and docks to create project spaces that are perfect for our current needs. You will also learn about single window mode, and how this can help you stay organized.

I see the logic of your interface layout and I have changed my interface to match yours with very few changes. For new users, the use of Tool Groups is unwise since so many of the commands will be hidden to you. So your choice of view all tools I have found helps me a lot. Great video! Thanks!

To resize my dock I had to move the cursor slowly over where you showed about 15 times. It seems there is a single pixel wide zone on a 4k monitor, which is asinine. Thanks to this video I found it.

Hello GuruGal. Love your content a lot! I have two questions in GIMP I wanted to ask:
1. Can I save a font AND it's outline as a single font so I don't have to manually do the outlining?
2. Can I open a mini browser in gimp? So I don't have to navigate to finder and drag?
I cant move tabs at all. they detach and then never reattach. The blue areas dont change color. Is that a setting somewhere?
I set up my interface but when I reopen it The tabs I had open are closed and I have to rebuilt my interface everytime. Is there a way to save my interfacing so I don't have to build everytime? Anyone??
