    Got that Glyn Johns vibe going on with that bling (but coffee fueled rather than coke fueled lol). Thanks for everything, you inspire me to sit in front of my board and just have fun routing stuff again. Maybe I'll use a similar setup and a reel-to-reel for the next records!

    I loved the Soprano's and all your food reference rhymes are great!! Pecorino and pesto!!! 😂 Love it!! The song is really good. You guys should be proud. The guitar has a 1960s hippie vibe. Great job man!!!

    love it- its great to have control of the ratios afterwards but also some slight compression going in helps you boost that signal just ever so slightly- your gear is so sick do you ever buy vintage clones? the new behringer stuff seems really cool

      I really really wanna get a DIY clone of a 1176. Or a UA47 diy kit.

      @@Mario_DiSanto i have a kt76 and its wonderful- the idea of pushing gain into a preset threshold vs setting the threshold definitely translates to hardware really nice its so satisfying to crank!! not an exact clone of the UA but i like that- and the all buttons down hard limiting is the sickest thing ever too hahaha

    I love your production sounds and techniques. Its the exact lo-fi vibe I'm looking to achieve with my next project, an already written 8 song album. I would love to pay you to produce/engineer it in your studio. I've used insanely pricey studios in the past that put me in over my head in debt and for the direction of my new project, those super high production values just aren't the vibe I'm looking for. According to your Bandcamp, your city is within traveling distance. It should be a quick project as everything is written, arranged and I'm experienced in a studio environment. The most time consuming thing is for the recording, I'm a one man band so everything would need separate tracking...drums/bass/guitar/keys/vocals...it's all me in the studio. The "band" only exists for live gigs and it'll be promoted as a band but I wanna do all the studio work myself. Let me know....would love to work with you.

    Hey Mario! Love your vids man! Great song!! Do you use EQ, and compression on the main mix out to tape or, do you just EQ, and compress each track in the mix, and leave the main mix out with no processing? I just recently got an old analog Mackie 32.8 Bus Console with some outboard gear, and still in the analog world learning process. I must say, analog sounds so much better than anything just in the box.

    • @Mario_DiSanto
      @Mario_DiSanto  2 місяці тому +1

      I apply comp and EQ to each individual track as needed. I use mix buss compression before hitting tape. Then afterwards in my 'mastering stage' I add some EQ and some minor limiting.

    • @The-Jim-Miller-Project

      @@Mario_DiSanto Cool! That’s a very effective way, definitely! Keep the excellent vids coming. I appreciate ya man!

      @@Mario_DiSanto One more quick question. In the mastering stage, if you didn't have an outboard EQ, could you use two channels on the console for EQing the two Bus to Master tape or DAW, and then limiting? Or would you recommend getting an outboard EQ?

    • @Mario_DiSanto
      @Mario_DiSanto  2 місяці тому +1

      @@The-Jim-Miller-Project your boards EQ ain't gonna sound as good or be as flexible but other than that it would work.
