What is used for lashing ? Rattan ? Split spruce root would be historically accurate but terribly time consuming. Nice neat stitches ! Really enjoy these videos. I would love to know some dimensions. I don't believe anyone is seriously interested in poaching in his market. The time and work involved simply aren't worth it. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, yes it is Rattan, I talk about the dimensions in my other videos "how it started", "gunwale frame" and the one "in action" with the drone footage
Hans-Georg Wagner changes dimensions according to the his preferences and to the order of the Clients. Theres is nearly never a boat the same. He builds only around two boats a year for clients. The series was never meant to be a tutorial. But we will add some more detailed clips later this year, when the next build is done.
i turned my wooden mallet smaller and I'm now more happy with it as a tool.
