An excellent review. I'm about to replace my Reolink Go Plus as I can now get power and Wi-Fi to the camera point, and this looks like the best option I have seen at a reasonable price point. Have you any experience of the camera working in rainy and/or snowy conditions, and can it continue to work without throwing lots of false alarms? I've just returned 2 Tapo cameras because they caused masses of false alarms.
Please if you can tell me how high up your camera is installed? Is that from a second story? Is that over 10 feet up? I just read that installing a wide angle camera up high distance makes it have that fish eye or barrel distortion. Just wondering if there was a way to get rid of that huge curve display? (barrel or fish eye). I'm having my installed permanently in a few days and I'm hoping installing it lower will improve that. In your video at 6:50 it has the barrel or fish eye appearance. I've seen other reviews of this camera and they didn't have it.
Q: is the Reolink camera better than the nest /google? My nest camera is junk. Right now one is offline and tech support is nowhere to be found. Thanks for sharing
I just loaded up the Google Home app and on my favorites the new Nest Cam Outdoor did load faster but the Duo 2 is definitely a solid contender on all other aspects. It definitely could replace them.
My Reolink wifi cameras have never gone offline. I use them about 50 yards from my modem so they're not that far away but have walls between them. I only had to go hook up directly to my modem the first time I initialized and added them. After that they go online perfectly even after being unplugged, once plugged back in go online no problem. I don't have fast internet so it's probably even better if it was fast internet. Hope this helps. I use Reolink E1 outdoor WIFI and it plugs into electricity; and Reolink duo cam flood lights WIFI and also plugs into electrical outlet. I run continuous stream on my smart TV so i'm not connected through google or any of the media types. I have to refresh the screen about every 5 hours and i've got 6 cams running so that is no problem. But even when the screen is not refreshed it still records any events so nothing lost. NOTE: when i had Reolink solar wifi wireless it used to go offline, so that is why i switched to the wifi plugs into electricity and no more solar. I think the solar was not enough energy for it or something.
It is not showing up on their integration list: support.brilliant.tech/hc/en-us/articles/360015720891-Smart-Home-Products-That-Work-With-Brilliant I might have to do some testing, I haven't installed mine at the new place yet.
You can have it set to record all the time or you can create schedules of when it is recording. It will record and fill up the SD card. Once it is full it will week continually delete the oldest recording and replace it with new ones. Right now I can see events all the way back to mid November.
Please can you help me , I set my outdoor camera reallink but with Wi-Fi outdoor high up. But since I needed to change my hub; you know with new Wi-Fi . SSID and password changes. Now I am in trouble how to change my Wi-Fi to new one. Please advise easy way without jumping over long ladder. 1- I tried in the way UID, IP, still tell me my Wi-Fi is not same. Please advise….. I am really urgently need advice.. thank you in advance, for whoever knows a way.
Just login to the router on your Internet and make the WiFi Name and password the same as before. If you can't do that then you might be able to turn on a hotspot that does that and then go through the change WiFi option in the app. If none of those you will need to reset the camera.
@22:18 you are showing a different camera angle after "10mins+" test :) I'm sure you decided to move it and did another duration test, but better to point it out in the video no harm. P.S. I always first check video footage and angle before mounting it, definitely worth optimising to get the most out of it.

Great job Brett for these reviews.
what's the maximum length I can download per video? can it be 2 hours continuous video?
Hello, can I use this camera to record a soccer game? I mean the wifi battery version.. thanks
maybe it's better to configure them BEFORE mounting on their spot, so in case of problems you don't need to go up there again :D
That is a good option. I just didn't want to pull a cable all the way to my desk. I only went up there like 20 times that day.
How to turn on notification to email when camera detects someone on my driveway
You turn on email notifications for when a person is detected. I'll have to see of there is a way for it to be done with a specific area.

what is the point of the SD card? Is the video data stored on the app client?
The video is saved onto the SD card. There is no internal storage and it is not transferring anything to an online cloud.
how do i know if the SD is full?@@TechWithBrett
also is it always recording?@@TechWithBrett
