Dude he looks phenomenal. I've always liked the Neca one but this crushes it. Very movie accurate. Don't know why it is getting hate. Guess Karens are just gonna Karen. Glad you got on the Mezco train. You can't have just one lol. I'm over 40 deep now and no regrets. Great review! I want a Zod now!

This looks great I have this ordered and just waiting for it to ship hopefully soon. Been stuck on processing since Monday 😫. But I also ordered the Mezco Keaton figure so hopefully that'll be shipping soon.

The likeness is prob the strongest attribute to this figure. The head sculpts are excellent.
Great stuff from Mezco. This deserves its own shelf. Makes me want to watch Superman 1, 2.....and yes, even 3....lol

I received mine yesterday. I don't necessarily collect MEZCO 1/12, but I do have a few. I had to get this, because it's Chris Reeve Superman. I'm still trying to compare it to NECA, and keep asking myself if it was worth the price. NECA does hold up pretty well in the sculpt department. This set does give us more accessories. First, the 3rd head sculpt was a surprise. Then there's the base, the extra hands, the Fortress of Solitude with the batteries and the light up features with the Crystals activating them. and the Kryptonite rock and necklace. If you have the budget, go for it. If not then the NECA is actually good enough for me. I have both now. I got too excited when it went up for preorder, and had no problems putting my order in, so I jumped the gun. I'm a Chris Reeve fan, so this stays in my collection.

I feel the same way. I'm a huge Reeve Superman fan, so I can look past all the little flaws here and there. It's killing me that they're still not shipping my Reeve Supes, yet. Still waiting.
@@BrandonNielsen87 I hope that you get it soon. I was lucky that it was a non-working holiday when fedex delivered mine, because the lady who handed it to me asked for a signature. I just stayed home waiting for it. It was also delayed for one day. Mezco printed the label on the 10th and was scheduled to be delivered on the 11th. Fedex picked it up on the 11th and rescheduled the delivery date to the 12th. Although I have both NECA and MEZCO already, I won't be opposed to other lines like MAFEX and SH figuarts from taking a crack at our Man of Steel. Heck, maybe Todd McFarlane might feel like making one in the future.
This is one of those rare cases where the finished product outshines the prototype. From the promo images, I was concerned he was gonna be too bulky, but this looks so good! Mine arrives Tuesday, and so much more stoked after your review. Thanks for that!

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I KNEW I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO BUY ONE OF THESE. BUT AFTER WATCHING THIS AND SEEING THAT IT COMES WITH THAT LITTLE DIO PIECE? I'D NEVER GET BE ABLE TO GET ANOTHER ONE IF IT EVER BROKE. I'D NEVER GET IT AT THIS LOW OF A PRICE AGAIN!! CONGRATULATIONS AND OBTAINING SUCH A NICE, NICE FIGURE!!!!.

Great review video, of a very impressive MEZCO Christopher Reeves Superman figure.
Unfortunately, the figure does have some problems, from the obvious ball joints, to the length of the cape, but as a display piece, it would still look incredible.

I got mine today and feel blessed. It was sold out but the seller had some cancellations lol. I have the Reeve neca, but this figure has amazing articulation and that base, hot damn.
The base def adds a ton of value to this figure!

Thanks for the great review. A lot of people doing reviews and photos with their iPhones are making the head sculpt look terrible, but it looks great here. I agree about the ugly thigh cut; considering DC Universe Classics and Marvel Legends both have better looking articulation in that area, it's shocking that a $125 figure doesn't have a thigh cut more like those lines.
I def feel like the head scans are excellent!!
I would’ve preferred a worried/confused look face for wearing the kryptonite necklace or a slightly angry face or even a super breath face with a super breath effect

I’m with ya. I can’t commit to “the definitive” but it def suits my needs for my fav Superman actor.
I would say the top three are
1) hot toys
2) neca
3 mezco.
I would say that’s very fair!! Hard to ever beat Hot Toys in anything they do!! Lol.

Great review. Ready to have mine. Still just saying processing. What seems to be hit or miss for me is the collar of his suit. Some are stitched real bad to where it looks baggy and some are stitched fine. The part at the thighs is a little rough, but hopefully I can look past it. It’s Reeve so he will not be leaving the collection. Hope you are able to snag a Keaton when they come out. He was an exclusive last January(been waiting over a year on him)like Reeve was.

I’m impressed. Didn’t know this was out. Soft goods might make a good doomsday fight damage custom. Even though reeves never fought doomsday. Maybe we can get a nuclear man mezco 🙏

Well Michael Keaton is only 5'9 and Christopher Reeves was like 6'3 6'4 so id say the figures are in scale lol Only thing that really bothers me is the cape.
Haha. Well when u put it that way, the Mezco and SH is scaled about right. Lol.
I'm not a fan of that cut in his thighs either. The cape is also riding up too high around his neck. Overall, I'm pretty happy as Mezco aren't famous for great headsculpts. Have you got the Mezco 89 Keaton on pre-order to pair up with Superman??

Not worth it because it’s an exclusive just like the Keaton Batman it’s first come first served so anyone that try’s to get this after those people won’t because you will not be able to purchase him normally just like Keaton Batman which is a damn shame

I think Neca’s has a better likeness to Christopher Reeve
He looks a bit skinny in my opinion, they should've used a different body and the legs look bad as well. That's just my opinion. They could've done a much better job.
Nah.....not liking this figure. Cape is too short. It should be at the top of his boots in the back. Way too short. The S is waaay too big on the cape in the back. An it's too high on his shoulders. It was not on the back of his neck in the movie. The light up base an crystals is cool though.
I’m in 100% agreement on the cape issues. There’s a couple other issues as well but the cape being a tad bit longer coulda done wonders for the overall look. The good news is, when posed behind the Fortress dio, it hides some of the issues. Lol.

figure disappointment spending so much on that figure with a resemblance to Reeve very poor for that I buy a crazy toys figure I change his head and put Reeve's and I have a more decent figure
Been a mezco collector for years, and let me say this figure is straight garbage. Mezco just can't do movie accurate figures, word of advice stick 2 mezco interpretation type style figures. I wish I could told of you, by knowing you. Avoid these type figures from them, and now I'm wondering if Keaton batman will be accurate 🤔.
