Welcome aboard! So happy you found me! Purple is just an amazing color that is highly under rated! It's a great color in the garden up against all the different shades of green!
@@homeandgardenwithanna. thank you for the welcome. I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ purple , red and orange in my plantings this year. Vibrant, calming and exquisite colours.
@@jeanniemesserschmidtz1954 I've never tried that combo! I usually reserve red and oranges for fall and winter! Maybe a freshly planted pot is in my future!
It’s going to be lovely.
Thank you, Pamela! ❤️
You have got me so excited to start my garden. I just hope my back holds up😂. The outside of your home is just as lovely as your inside! Always love to see you and Ernie working together like you always do❤️

I am so ready for warmer weather. Your flower beds look so beautiful and fresh and i can't wait to get outside now. About 20 years ago my mom's neighbor gave me some Irises out of his garden and every year when they bloom, I always think of him. One of the best gifts I have every received.

I know this is a video about your garden but please provide tips on your grass. It’s so green and lush!
Absolutely! My husband fertilizers it 3 times a year with Scott's triple action.

Your garden is going to be gorgeous just like last year Anna. I love the purple you are using and it definitely pops with everything else. You mentioned at the end that you thought your camellias weren’t dead but I was wondering if they were actually azaleas instead? Looking forward to seeing MORE! 😊❤😊🌼🌸🌱🪴🪻

I LOVE your garden!! Can’t wait to see the rest!!!
Yay! Thank you!
I'm anxious to begun my garden. I haven't been able to address it the past 2 years, busy caring for my 97 year old mother. But, it looks like this year is it! Someone, helping me with my housework every other week, truly has freed some time. Of course, waiting for the pollen to clear out here in Atlanta area! Your plants, lovely choices!
On Terry, that pollen is no joke! So happy you have help. Gardening is such a relaxing time. It's good for the soul!
So,happy for you to be in the garden again…..🌺🌻🌼❤️❤️❤️
Yes! I'm elated! ♥️

I'm so jealous you were able to get out into your garden, we are still having rainy, cold weather here. Love the purple, that's my favorite.
Awe! Soon I hope for you! Thank you, Sally! ❤️
Oh the purple!! I love purple and blue tones in the garden and you're right the purple with green is gorgeous! Love that swoop you planted! Can't wait to see it all mature and fill in. Thank you for that tip!
Anna you do such a great job the garden is looking beautiful you have inspired me love the purple thankyou Anne for sharing 😊❤God bless
I'm so happy to do that for you! Thank you, Wanda! ❤️
Hi Ana. Looks beautiful. Once they grow it’s going to be stunning. The plant you have in the garage it’s just over water let it dry and Nate’s will go away. Just trim under the plant to allow dryness. When plant are inside, before you water them use the finger technique. To find out if it needs water. Put your finger into the dirt. Most of the time they don’t need water. The soil still wet. Remember that the inside temperature is different from outside.just some tips i learned. There are some water glass ball the sell at Home Depot, lows, dollar general that will help water the plant on their own. They suck water when needed. All you have to do is remember to fill it when is empty. Plants let you know when they need water, anyway I hope this helps they speak to you when they need something. Water and food. Like us, lol I
Thank you so much for all those amazing tips! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
So happy to see you out in the garden, enjoying hands in the dirt. I love it too. We can’t start here in upstate New York,we had 22 inches of snow this past weekend 😢.The swoop is going to be beautiful! Thanks for sharing ❤Barb
Oh gosh, Barb! That's a lot of snow! Hopefully you'll be able to get outside soon! Thank you!
Purple my favorite color,it's looking good.
Mine to!
Congrats Anna on 7,000! 🎉 We have been doing some landscaping here in Texas. Dug out all of the mulch and are adding rocks. Everything is budding & turning green, it’s so exciting!
Yay! Yes! I'm totally getting rid of the barn and landscape fabric. Lots of work, but it'll be nice! And thank you! 😊
Beautiful
Thank you!
Hi Anna, glad to see you back in the garden. Everything looks great. I’m crazy about your border. I’ve been trying to find it but unfortunately I have not had luck. Can you help?
Absolutely! This is who I used

Beautiful! However, your pansies might not do well in the summer heat. They tend to get leggy and prefer cooler weather. Unless of course this is just a spring planting.❤️
Mine did great last year. Fingers crossed they do well again this year. Thank you for that tip though! If I have to replace them, that will be sad!
@@homeandgardenwithanna.oh sorry I thought you did petunias last year. ❤️
@@cynthiafitzgerald1679 Im so confused! I may have! I'm a mess this year! Ha ha
Yes pansies are a cool weather plant and usually don’t do well in the heat. Petunias can take the heat. Pansies are out in garden centers early spring the petunias are out later.
Hi guys your garden and yard looks amazing- I couldn’t believe how big everything got last year!
As you know here in cali we have to over plant- to achieve that full and lush garden feeling.
Although it’s the end of March and we are still cold and gloomy, can you believe it.
Ty 💜🌷💜 Maryann
Oh wow! I'm heading from family back home about your weather. Crazy!
@@homeandgardenwithanna.
I know- praying we don’t have a short spring, it’s my favorite time of year!
Feels weird to celebrate Easter in March, I hear that won’t happen again,
Until the year 2160- wishing you and your family a very blessed Easter

@@user-zz6gc9qg9m it sure does! Happy Spring and Easter!

You're welcome, Barb!
Good morning, Anna ... your garden is beautiful, love the purple 💜 ..it's my favorite color next to blue for flowers..I'm hoping to get into my garden in the next few days/weeks...hubby has a health issue that must be addressed first then it's onto the garden adventures !! Have a great week and wishing you and Ernie a Blessed Easter !! 🐇✝️
Oh, Jeanette! I will pray for your sweet husband. What's his name?
I hope you are able to get out in the sunshine soon! Hugs!

Looks great!!! 🌸🌸🌸 Have a great day!
Thank you, You too!
Your flower garden came out really nice also like your gardening shirt from Lowe's.
Thank you so much! ☺️
It's going to look anazing!
I think so, too! Thank you!
Going to be so pretty.
Thank you!
Going to be beautiful
Thank you,Beth!
Your garden's going to look beautiful. I couldn't help but notice there are NO trees in your neighborhood. What's up with that? Maybe you could start a movement to plant some trees.
There are trees. Every yard has a tree, including ours. They are all dormant right now and just started leafing out. All young. 😍
Good morning Anna! Your beds are looking so good already! I have done some yard cleanup but a bit too early to plant in Ohio. You said you were removing the mulch? What are you going to use instead?😊
We are removing the bark and replacing with mulch. ☺️
Happy Spring, Anna!! Looking forward to more gardening videos!!
Where are the set of 3 white pots from?
Thank you 😊😊
Happy Spring! We picked those up last year at AT HOME.
@@homeandgardenwithanna. Thanks for replying so fast! I have a store near me!!
@maddied58 Your very welcome! Hopefully you'll find them!
I am shocked the ferns made it thru that cold night. I believe I've seen that mosquito bits will take care of the gnat problem. I think you dissolve it in water and then pour it on. In Ernie's defense those lemon corral sedums might have not come back. I'm in zone 8A and they are not reliable here. I love how y'all work together.
Oh! Good to know. So of these don't make it he'll be of the hook this year! Haha! I was surprised about those ferns too!
🖖👋👍🌹🌷🌷🌷🌹🌹
You said you don't know what some of your plants are, if you download the app on your phone called picture this, it will tell you. You can pay for the app or not if you don't want to pay for the app then click on that x up there on the top right corner and then just go down and take a picture of your plant and it will tell you what it is.
I have to admit though sometime the plants are wrong cuz I had it to tell me what a plant was well it was not a peas. So it's not perfect but most the time it's right on cue.
I have it and have used it in videos to show people but it's wrong half the time lol. Thank you though. Its a great app for mature plants for sure!
Great first gardening video plus awesome teamwork as always! Do you pick plants according to your zone or choose them based on what you like ( probably dumb question)? Looking forward to your outdoor videos! Btw loving your hair 😉
Thank you girl! Here in TN they only sale what will grow. It's so unlike Cali. The garden centre's are only open for a few short months. It's crazy! Lol
Hello, I was wondering, are those violas a kind that will bloom all summer long? I love them, but have only seen ones that bloom in early spring and then again in the fall because summers are too hot. Are yours a different variety? Thanks.
You are correct! I'll be redoing these flowers after they are spent!
Hello Anna I’m a new subscriber and I just love your videos 🩷🩷
Welcome, Nancy! I'm so happy you are enjoying my content! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
I have one question, you put the board down on the ground why did you do that how's the plant going to grow through the board even though you put soil down and then put the plant inside of that.
I had the same question! Haha, the cardboard breaks down over time. However, if you noticed, we planted the larger plant in the ground and the annuals, which don't deep root into the loose soil. It takes a couple.of months for the cardboard to break down. But annuals are not deep rooted plants so they will grow in the lose soil. Hope that helps!
I just found you where are you located?
Middle Tennessee ☺️
