Oh how I miss my irrigation. We moved and now I drage a hose and water.I live on 2 acres. No gardens so far, I have to to plant them, but I'm very encouraged after watching your videos. I'm 68.
Ernie is going to add a very interesting irrigation system. It'll be in a future video! I feel the hose thing. I also have something coming that you may want to see!
Seeing the butterfly reminds me, you should visit the Butterfly Rainforest at the Florida Museum of Natural History the next time you are in Gainesville. The plants, water features and hundreds of butterflies are spectacular. It is a small place so I would recommend going when there is less likelihood of a crowd.
You are just like me! I can’t remember what I planted over the years. I know them when they come up each year. I live in Colorado and can’t plant until the end of the month and I’m having trouble with waiting. I’m so ready for the season to begin! Thanks for sharing your gardens with us. Have a lovely day, Anna!🤗🌺🌻💐🌷🦩🙏
I bet you are anxious! I started to early as we've had frost lol. Everything survived! Yay! You're so welcome. I'm so happy I can inspire people to play in the dirt!
I'm really looking forward to watching your garden mature. Pollen count well over 8000 in Atlanta today. The 3rd highest since they started counting. It will be another week or two before I can venture out and pull weeds, plant. My weeds...terrible!!!
Here in South Louisiana, that would be a great idea to do something like that. Starting my own flower beds. Trying to get it done before heavy rain heads our way.
Hello! Yes. And you'll be surprised how well ours held up in the storms we just had! I share in the next video. I was shocked as you know here in the south we get torrential rains!
Hey Friend, Happy Thursday. I enjoyed this video of you being out in your garden doing some yard work. I have been waiting for a few months to see your gardening videos again and I’m so glad it’s that time again. ❤ I have been watching your channel for a year, I have started watching your channel around this time last year. ❤ I’m looking forward to more of your gardening videos. ❤🥰🦋
So pretty! I feel motivated to get out and do some gardening. I live in Alabama and I have never seen sun patience before. I will look next time I go to the garden center. Thank you for sharing. I love your house and neighborhood, it looks like a nice place to live.
Thank you, Jill! We love it here. Great place to live. In so happy you are motivated! You will not regret the sun patients! They will do well in your area!
Hi Anna 🌺You arranged the plants beautifully in the backyard and they are going to be amazing and you can add supertunias . Your plant from last year it called balloon flower or platycodon . Have awonderful day .🌺🌻🌺
I moved to a new build last summer and those wild onions were a big surprise. I weeded hundreds of them that grew on my flower beds. Loving your gardening videos as always.
Anna, I’m so happy it’s time to be outside. All your plants are going to pretty , as usual. Your white stake lights.. you remember where you bought them? I ❤them. See ya next time. 🌺🩷🌸
I love this time of year in the South. Started my gardens both flower and veggie and can’t wait to start harvesting the veggie garden. It’s lots of work but I so love it. My husband received a job offer in Franklin TN. Not sure what will come of it at this point but he is looking into it. He’s been a lifelong NC resident so it’s a big decision for sure. Your yard is so beautiful ❤
Anna so excited to see your garden take shape. We’ve been at it here in Texas with our landscaping. My husband just bought a handy tool to pull weeds with a long handle. It’s SO nice to not have to bend over anymore as this ol’ gals back can’t take that! 😊
Good morning. I’m going to go have a nice cool beverage after watching you work putting in those plants! I missed the reason why you aren’t using bark this year?
It's a pain. We may add mulch later. I just want to get all the gardens in place first. But that bark looked so drab after rain all summer... even before winter. I watch garden answer and she uses mulch as opposed to bark. I love her gardens!
Good morning Anna I enjoyed this new video so very very much I think your flowers gardens turned out beautiful I have flowers gardens too I love them 🌹🌹🌸🌸🌼🌼🪻🪻🪻🌺🌺☘️☘️🍀🍀🪴🪴🌞🌞🌞🌸🌸🌸🌼🌼🌼🌼💐💐💐💐💐🌹🌹🌹🥀🥀🥀🪻🪻🪻🌻🌻🌻
Good Morning Anna...I love the flowers...the sun patients remind me of my late mother in law, she loved them ...I can't wait to see all the beautiful colors....have a great week ⚜️❤️💐❤️⚜️
Good Afternoon Anna, I wanted to let you know that Patrick's results on his biopsy were all negative, no cancer found !! He will have surgery to remove the tumors on May 24... please keep praying, it's working !! Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes..God is good !! ❤️
Anna, I love the annuals you chose and look forward to seeing them grow. Have you ever tried vincas for annuals? They are very heat tolerant and do great in the south. Also, lantana is great and also attracts hummingbirds, I just don’t think they smell good. I got to thinking you might could go back to last years videos and find out what some of the plants coming in are. Looking forward to more gardening by Anna! 😊😊🐇🌸🌼
It's going to be beautiful in about a month. Can't wait to see it! Can you recommend flowers for planter boxes with only 5 hrs of morning sun? No green thumb here
I'm glad you asked! Mulch is generally less durable than bark, as it is made from organic materials that break down over time. It's still beautiful but, I need the organic matter for this clay soil. Every little thing helps.
It’s Arbor Vitae Ms Anna. Not Arbor Itae. Literally translates Arbor (tree) and Vitae (life). Tree of Life. Arborvitae is one of my fav shrubs. We have some that are over 25 ft tall all along our property line on the west side of our house. I never dreamed they’d get this big but this is common in Iowa. Zone 5b. Each winter they are bent clear over from tons of heavy ice and snow. I always think they’re going to break off and they never do. Very Hardy. What zone is NC? Love your videos. I don’t know where you get your energy. I’m 64 and I used to do all those things. I was a Peds Nurse Clinic Mgr for 23 yrs. We had a fabulous garden. This year I have major back issues and I’m trying to look after my 83yo Mom. I love pansies and violas. Every time you post a video I can’t wait to watch it. PS: The darker the leaves the more a plant needs mostly shade to explode with growth. The lighter the leaves the more sun it needs and loves. All looks so lovely.
Thank you for that correction haha! Although it's stuck in my head and I most likely will continue to butcher it! Haha. I hope mine continue to do well as some I've noticed in the neighborhood just die, for no apparent reason. Praying mine live for as long ad I own this home! 🙏

Thank you all for hanging out with me today! I hope you get some garden inspiration today!🦠💐🌸🪷

Good morning! Thank you so much!
You did such a good job bringing color to your gardens! Just wondering why you didn't add any fertilizer in the holes before putting the plants in?
I thought I was out. I wasn't though. We fertilized after when we found the bag. I normally do each plant though!
