No torque wrenches, no special tools ... just experience, teamwork and bloody hard work. I don't know how you guys do it, but the trucks keep rolling so you're clearly doing it RIGHT. Much respect from a brother mechanic in the UK.
The most important tool is the hammer 🔨 👍
Talk about basic conditions...Work-Bench a foot off the dirt floor. No engine stand. No Jib Crane. No LED lights. No room to build it in. Folks just walking by. 5 or 6 guys working on the engine at the same time...talk about TEAM-WORK ! WOW ! Making sure of inside cleanliness and making sure to oil or grease everything as it goes together ! Everybody doing their jobs...in proper succession. and everybody gets hold of the engine and they crank it up, still sitting on the little bitty table they built it on, and tunes it up right there ! It sounds great. How can AnyBody NOT like this video !!! This was an EXCELLENT BUILD in very basic conditions !!!
This is the team-work we lost in the west. No 'meet-ups', 'brain-sessions' or other shite. Just plain elbow grease by men who know their stuff.
Awsome! Big respect and entertainment all along.
Thanx a mill, guys! Keep the continent rolin'!
Thanks for your love and appreciation ❤️🤗
No torque specifications or clearance checking, like in the west?
Edit: No checking ring end gap?
@@409novaman they adjusted valve lashes and maybe they didn't capture them checking ring end gap
@@lcameeno1 I noticed that they set the valve clearances and without that step, the engine probably would not even start. As you know, the most important step in building an engine is clearances. I’m just surprised that the videos don’t show or even hint that it is being done. I mean these guys are fantastic mechanics, but I want to see this important step.

Love this channel! You have 5 or 6 gentlemen working on the engine and each one knowing exactly what to do. The "boss" sits in the chair directing the engine rebuilding like a maestro directing an orchestra. All the parts are cleaned like new. Looks like the most important tools for making repairs are the hammers; big hammers! Would I let these gentlemen repair one of my engines? You better believe I would!!
Utmost respect to you guys, genuine touch and feel mechanics at work here. Seems like a lost art where i come from. The scrap bin will have very little scrap in it because all the precious metal is used for all and everything. Big salute guys, carry on making the videos i just love it.
People in these countries make very good use of resources WITHOUT COMPLAINING!!! We are so spoiled, here, in America. And the microsecond that we loose appreciation for what we have, it gets taken away! Respect, appreciation, harmony and Liberty - go hand-in-hand.
Labor is cheap there

When I was in my teens and twenties we rebuild our car engines on the ground we never had the use of a garage but you guys have to do everything like that and the limited tools you have it's just amazing what you all do great job. James

The blue shirt guys I think is a chief engineer.🇵🇰💪👍❤️
Yes, he is the master of the team
Yep he has the two precision tools:D
and the guy in the khaki is the torque wrench.
@@theodorosantreou8730 Two legged torque wrench. Watch him close or he'll get up and walk away:D
Who needs a torque wrench or a workshop ? these guys just improvise time after time and the dedication 👍
several giant cracks in the flywheel. but man, doing a rebuild on the ground in the dirt. amazing
I saw that too, I don't know, engine rebuild and cheap out on that part....my OCD is in overdrive :)) Otherwise, nice job, clearly the older guy is the chief mechanic, he does the QC with the feel gauges and eyeball. Great job, considering the conditions.

Those younger guys are all learning a very useful craft from the older guy in charge.
Good video.
Thanks

And I always thought torque was a big thing. These guys do a great job
They torqued . Everything was set to spec tight , real tight and not so tight.
@@rbspider Perfect!
They'll just watch how many veins is visible in their arm when tightening. The more visible large vein is seen, then it is tight.
@@rbspider Unit of measure is called (ugga duggas):D

Everything is perfectly torqued, Three grunts and one fart. Perfect!
Oh my god, how do they work there. Hopefully these "professionals" will stay in their countries.
@@ichkannviel Dont be silly. Torque specs are nice but once you know how much force a bolt can take you can apply it by feel. Bolts by design are made not to back out and snugging them up is fine. I would have preferred more for the main cap bolts but you don't know what they did off camera. I would also recommend checking your attitude because these guys can do much more than you could ever dream off with half the tools. By the way, professional simply means doing something as a profession and nothing more, I just assumed with your use of quotes you meant in another way.
😆
@Falstaff 1893 I say yes, I hope they stay in their countries.

no fancy tools and it still works, they are the people who could survive in an apocalypse
You don't need fancy tools to build one of those!

Christian Loria In fact I thought the same thing, you don't need precision tools, I'm Italian and we got used too well compared to them ....
My friend they likely already have...
the most precision tool they have is their brain n the expeoriance they gained from doin this over n over again ... something like craftsmanship....
So this is another channel after PAKISTANI TRUCKS promoting the hard, skillful and labor intense work of the local mechs 🔧.

I'm a big fan of the TLAR method, but I can't imagine building an engine without a torque wrench. That's a bold strategy, Cotton.
Right?!?! That dude with the wrench and the "Ehh, bout right there" tugs blew my mind.
I was saying the same think I was prepared to see they whip out a handmade one or something, but some bold dudes
Love the reference 😂🍻

BRAVOOO ! SMART PEOPLE !!! no electrical tools !!
Look at those tools...much respect👊
Every one knows his part of the duty. Nice to see work being done precisely and silently. All the helpers will be individual entrepreneurs oneday. Thats very nice. 👍
It kind of looked to me that no one knew exactly what they were doing.
Love watching these videos and how they make tools from what they can. No other engine builds have 6 blokes working on one engine.

Very nice you guys all working together as a team …. 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This was by far the most thorough and complete rebuild I’ve seen on this channel, that’s not to say that it was perfect. The flywheel was cracked in multiple places, never resurfaced or even cleaned before the old clutch was bolted back to it. These guys dip their fingers in oil, grease and gasket maker, sit in the dirt and install the flywheel with same fingers. Later the poor truck driver will have a slipping clutch, engine will be in great shape, but overall the truck will be just as useless. BTW, did anyone notice that the pistons were sticking out of the deck?? That is not normal, and the boss man was on the vid measuring how far the stuck out with feeler gauges. Later they installed the head gasket and he was measuring the gasket to piston top difference. I’m guessing that block had been surfaced so many times it’s now so short the pistons stick out at TDC, I wouldn’t be surprised if they installed two head gaskets just to get this engine running again.
Not true about piston stick out, headgaskets on diesels come in different thicknesses depending on the stick out. In the western world we replace like for like they have to measure to be sure of the right one.
Yes it's normal for pistons to stick out of block a little. If I take apart a tractor/zero turn engine thats been hydrolocked with low compression on a cylinder or two i measure how far they stick out with a dial indicator to see if it has bent rods
Don’t forget where you’re at you’re just lucky to have an engine to work on every 5000 miles That’s why they know it like the back of their hand
Muito bom. Parabéns!!! Brasil

These are starting to get addictive 😄
These guys working outside in the open and surrounded by dirt are amazing
The grit help with the engine break in process.
Torque is just suits in a office spitting out numbers. Real word It still works. Look at cars from factory. Torqued nuts to spec. And real gaskets. And they still break down.
Couldn’t have said it better !!!

You know the tourqe specs are correct when the bolt doesn't want to turn anymore
no, no, no,, you just keep nipping them up until they start to go all ""springy!"",, know know,, just before you strip the threads out?,, curb side motor's strikes again,, guaranteed to get you off the four court but only just!
Snap-on went bankrupt in Pakistan. Did you see the crack on the flywheel? Awesome........
@@caddyrack and why did ""Snap-on"" go bust?,, because no body could read the scale and they just kept on ""snapping off!"" the bolt's!,, engine re-build by,, curb side motor's,, ""a disaster weighting to happen!""
It is not only the turn stop is enough. Its also the experience in the feel of the torgue since they dont use a torgue wrench. Super
