Did? No! DOES!!! He is still with us! He is the way, the truth, and the life... Without him "All things were made by him; and without him not anything was made that was made"~John 1:3
Some would argue that paul didnt witness Jesus before the crucifiction. But he did interact with people that did adide from his claim of meeting the risen Jesus. Historical criticism offers paul as credible as the way other history sources are.
No doubt Jesus (peace be upon him) existed as confirmed by the torah, gospels, and the quran, but there is a problem on how christans view him as a divine deity. This makes me raise the question, in order for a deity to be looked as divine it should have 100 percent godlike attributes (meaning if something is 99 percent god than he would still lack in areas not making him god no more). So if jesus is 100 percent god, the father is 100 percent god, and the holy spirit is 100 percent god, then how is it possible for all of them to fit into trinity spectrum. This is like saying a pencil is a 100 percent wood but later saying its also a 100 percent lead which is impossible because it has reached it's potential. Secondly, how are we supposed to believe in manuscripts which were not even written in jesus language, instead in hebrew and greek, this leaves doors open for mistakes whilst making the language transfer. If you manage to answer the above contradictions, then can you find me a unequivocal and unambiguous statement or verse in which jesus said he is god and to worship him?
I am a Christian who did not believe in the Trinity when I was young. Then I found Catholic teachings. For example, John the Baptist announces that Christ will come, and refers to the prophecy where Yahweh will come (Isaiah 40:3 & Matt.3:3). The disciple Thomas calls Jesus God, and Jesus does not deny (John 20:28-29). The Book of Revelation identifies Yahweh and Jesus (Rev. 1:17, see Isaiah 48:12).
The percentage problem is solved, for example, by saying that every person is a way of being. I can be 100% father, student and employee. The difference is, I believe that God can communicate with himself as if the persons were separate beings. Makes omnipotence less lonely.
@@Damicho Firstly no, The majority of religious debates are always won by Muslims so don't go around throwing false facts. Secondly, I have seen many christens trying to solve this puzzle, instead they just end up confusing the viewers. Thirdly, I am willing to drop this question if you give me an unequivocal and unambiguous verse from the new/old testament in which Jesus personally called himself a godly deity or/and said to worship him.
User-oe4nd9qm7d... you are correct in saying Jesus existed....you are incorrect when you reject His diety. The writers of scripture declare Jesus to be the Messiah, the unique Son of the living God.... Jesus himself confirmed this numerous times.... Demons declared Jesus to be the Son of God numerous times... God Himself....yes, the living God declared this as well. Jesus said he was eternal and shared God's glory before the world began....yet God shares his glory with no other. Jesus spoke of himself sharing a unique oneness with the living God....from eternity past.... Jesus foretold the future, forgave sins, controlled nature and demons, raised the dead (thus controlling life and death)....things only God can do...and claimed all scripture (the Torah) pointed to him.....he also accepted worship from others....things reserved only for God...thus marking Jesus as God. Jesus is to be the judge of all God is the judge of all Jesus forgave others sins Only God can forgive sins Jesus has power over life and death Only God has power over life and death As far as the language issue....Jesus and his disciples probably spoke Hebrew and Greek as well as Aramaic...even if not...Luke and Matthew did Mark did... Paul would have as well Greek was the common language of the world thanks to Alexander
@@thehelpdesk4051 You did not provide a SINGLE unambiguous verse in which Jesus PERSONALLY said he is god and to worship him. Secondly, The peacemakers are also referenced to as sons of god, in fact the Israelites are called the children of god. Let me further elaborate by saying that not a single manuscript was created at the time of jesus, in fact it was not after 1000 years after jesus resurrection was the first manuscripts compiled, and THEY WERE not in jesus's native tongue making rooms for fault's in the language transition. Another thing is that witnesses of Jesus's resurrection are fairytales, there is not a single person from those 500 people that came out and histroically testified of jesus's resurrection.
praise Jesus Christ❤
Jesus Christ is a unique life form that has a profound impact on the reality of the existence that he created. 😊
