We're obviously aware of and deeply concerned about the global pandemic, and are choosing carefully what to publish as forms of escapism and entertainment to help ease thoughts of anxiety, and provide an alternative from the news. We are obviously NOT encouraging anyone to travel now or discouraging social distancing. Have you been to this astonishing country?
I am from the Caribbean. Have traveled throughout the Caribbean, been to European counties including Ireland and England. have been to North American several times, but to me Cyprus is my favorite. Cyprus is special. I LOVE CYPRUS
From Wikipedia about cannabis possession in Cyprus “In practice, an offender is taken to a local police station by drug enforcement where a statement, fingerprints, and/or a confession are taken. After minor interrogation, the offender is held overnight and then released to be later called to court where a judge will set a fine between 400-1000 Euro for a first time offence (depending on the amount of cannabis found and severity of the case). Factors such as being helpful to the police, full confession, completion of 6 month "detox" program provided by government and an apologetic attitude towards the judge does indeed help obtain a reduced fine. Drug rehabilitation Edit The offender must appear at a detox center and complete a 6-month drug rehabilitation program at the end of which a relevant officer will send a letter to the judge in regard to their accomplishment. They will also receive an honorary diploma upon completion of the program. Non-completion of this 6-month program has unconfirmed consequences such as the fine being higher when sentenced at court” Honorary Diploma? Yeah Cyprus seems laid back alright They’d have Bob Marley arrested while insisting on how religiously tolerant and fun they are As a Cannabis smoker I feel as about as welcome as an ulcer. Whenever a culture/country tries to convince everyone how laid back and fun they are it’s usually trying to compensate for the fact that they’re not.
Unfortunately my trip to Cyprus was ruined. The day I arrived I was welcomed by a horrible storm. Thunder and lightning on my way to the hotel. I faced very strong Gale force winds with heavy rain with the odd 3 days out of 7 with some sun. Plus while on my stay I woke up to the shocking news of an earthquake in Turkey and Syria and that it was felt as far as Cyprus. While the bus was cheap the bus drivers were very rude and aggressive. The buses were in need of a revamp as they were very neglected inside with graffiti. I did visit off season but while staying in Coral Bay, Paphos I was faced with mostly stormy weather. My holiday was completely ruined by the very unusual weather. Now I have to come back to see the Cyprus I really want to see, but no blue skies on my stay this time round.
make sure you visit blue lagoon beach in akamas preferably by renting buggys and going there through the protected area of akamas, nissi beach in ayia napa and governors beach in limassol. visit Nicosia aswell which is the only divided European capital to experience the multicultural aspect of the country. finally don't miss troodos mountain, rent a car and enjoy a road trip through a number of villages
@@Evelae Lol what do you mean the ''real''? The video is correct, the mountain is called Mt Olympus. But there's also one in Greece. The one where the Gods of Olympus lived according to Greek Mythology is the one in Greece.
@@tzortzischr It's only the peak that's called Mount Olympus, not the mountain range I just feel like they should have explained that better in the video rather than implying the entire mountain is Mount Olympus
@@Evelae The peak is commonly referred to by the locals as ''Chionistra''..What the video said is correct. The mountain is called Olympus and that's where the ski resorts are.
If you are planning on booking a holiday in Cyprus, or planning on recommending that someone take a holiday in Cyprus there are some things you should know: 1) The Cypriot government has banned anyone who is not vaccinated from entering any bar or restaurant since Dec 15th 2021 2) QR codes (eudcc vaccine pass) are used domestically for everything and MUST be accompanied by a government issued ID like a passport or driving license, this means you need your passport to go into any shop, bar or restaurant. 3) Mask mandates are still in effect both inside and out, police can and will issue you with a fine if you are not wearing a mask while walking outside. 4) Dancing is currently illegal and can lead to fines If you like the idea of a holiday in a police state, then by all means come to Cyprus, otherwise? Look elsewhere.
If you're going to talk about cyprus then you should mention the island in its entirety and leave any bias view out of it. Tourists can fly to Cyprus and travel the island as a whole and not just the south which is what you're showing. Typical
Unfortunately from my last 2 visits and from what I've seen from other sources, the "Greek" side seems to be more built for tourists. I definitely prefer the "Turkish" side :)
What kind of profesionals are you; making a video about Cyprus and indicating a Greek flag? Obviously, you have no idea that Cyprus is an independent country with it's own flag. Crete Island is Greek and it has a Greek flag. Shame on you! Go back to school and learn geography or at least use Google maps.

The mountain in Cyprus is Mount Trodos though??
Mount Olympus is in Greece!!
The whole mountain range is called Troodos. The highest peak is called ''Mt Olympus'' - just like the Greek one! Greetings from Cyprus.

All COVID restrictions have been lifted now
Don't be so dramatic. Restrictions are lifting. I've never heard of anyone getting a fine walking outside without mask.
too good
Maybe in 2021.
good
This video has a lot of images that are not of Cyprus
My Home country ❤️
how about the nothern part? 🤭
The northern part is only for criminals!
Allah Prays For the Prophet damn didn't know my turkish-cypriot friends were criminals :0
Do I have to wear a face nappy in all public places in Cyprus?
Quite, quite, quite, quite
Do not deposit your money in a bank in Cyprus. Stay away from Cyprus!

@Capri Ama you're clearly misinformed
@Capri Ama you keep telling yourself that story
@@Evelae same here...i find the south to be like any other European holiday destination. I didn't go on holiday to get Starbucks or McDonald's.
